Nancy Blake's Tavern Tap was the perfect spot to catch the World Cup final. We came looking for good food, drinks, and a fun atmosphere, and it delivered on all three. There were TVs everywhere, so we had a great view of the match no matter where we looked. We were also able to comfortably sit at a table for the entire game, which made the experience even better. Our group ordered the NY steak sandwich, fish and chips, mac and cheese, nachos, fries, and plenty of beer and wine. Everything was delicious. This is definitely comfort food, and I have zero complaints. The steak sandwich was especially satisfying and so filling that I was ready for a nap afterward. The fish and chips were crispy, the nachos were loaded, and the mac and cheese was rich and cheesy. It was exactly the kind of meal you want while watching a big game. One thing that really stood out was the service. We had an infant with us, and everyone was incredibly kind and accommodating, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Between the lively atmosphere, tasty food, great drink selection, and welcoming staff, this was an easy win. I'll definitely be back for more grub, drinks, and another game day. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at your establishment. I visited on Thursday, April 30, to watch the Knicks game with my son. Unfortunately, the hostess was extremely rude and impolite. She did not seem to care about accommodating us when we politely asked to sit closer to one of the TVs to watch the game. During our visit, we ordered nachos, wings, a steak sandwich, and a pulled pork sandwich. My son ate the pulled pork sandwich while we shared the other items. Around 2 AM that night, he woke up vomiting repeatedly after eating the sandwich. It was a terrible experience, especially for a restaurant that recently opened. I originally planned on returning to speak with management directly, but after the way the hostess treated us, I honestly did not feel that our concerns would be taken seriously. That is why I am sending this email two weeks later, because the situation still bothers me -- especially since it ruined my son's entire weekend. I hope management takes this complaint seriously and looks into both the customer service and food quality issues. read more

Delicious The guacamole no need to be on this menu with all the Mexican places in the area disappointing The menu has pizza but not ready to be served another thing not need on the menu. Not much of an Irish flare but the room is very comfortable with pipped in music or a very great jukebox a welcome addition to any room. Looking for a nice spot to grab a quick bite or drink, then look no further. It's a very spacious bar. As for service me just say Carol is a great bartender. If you need a good laugh after a long day or just need mid day break with a laugh come see her. She will definitely make your day. Food wise i grab some nachos to go along with my cider. My first time at Nancy Blake's was back in July for their grand opening and I immediately knew this was my go to tavern. My favorite thing about this place is its aesthetic, from it's brick design on the outside, you definitely feel right at home as soon as you step in. As for the drinks, my go to is always a vodka diet coke. I haven't tried their signature cocktails nor food but they have a great selection from espresso martini to whiskey sour. Happy hour deals are the best part from Monday-Friday. Karaoke nights are my absolute favorite part that are only on Friday nights starting at 10pm-1am! I would rate it actually a 3.5. More than an OL place but there are some inconsistencies. There are strong pros: great waitress, very good presentation, and some of the food was fantastic while some of the other choices ranged from quite good to so-so. The biggest plus is that the back room is quieter than the front but you can still see games but talk without having to raise your voice. Another big plus are the beer and their nacho plate. Best nacho plate I ever had - a light sour creme sauce, mildly spicy pepper, a bean past, corn and very fresh nachos. Another strong appetizer was the calamari - fried just right and the sauce was excellent. The server is was sweet and wonderful. The main dishes were uneven - the shepherd's pie was quite good but the chicken pot pie was odd. The filling was served at the bottom and then two large puff pastry breads were given for one to dip. The sauce had an odd creme lemon taste that we were trying to decide if the creme sauce was about to turn OR the herbs used gave it that taste (e.g. the herbs may have slightly curdled the creme sauce). The other issue was they had soup on their menu but the server told us the chef had no soups for that day. Very strange. So, for beer/drinks and appetizers I would give it a 4.5 for main dishes a 3 due to the inconsistency and flavoring of one dish. it is worth a visit if you are in the area - especially as there aren't many Irish pubs in that part of Queens. If ordering a meal, I would call in advance and if there are any problems let the server know immediately. It seems like a place that would accommodate. read more

Went out with a friend last night, 06/25/26 for drinks. He mentioned he wanted to go to Nancy Blake's because he was never there. Said I would go for one drink because the bartenders are always blasting the music. When we got there I saw about 8 to 10 people at the bar and 2 sitting at the table. Soccer game was on and no loud music. Said we can stay here because it wasn't crowded and very pleasant. Sat at the bar and saw 3 workers, 1 woman and 2 guys at end of bar huddled together and talking. We waited a few minutes while the bartenders kept talking with their backs to the bar. After a while I yelled " is anyone working here! " Finally one of the guys came over and took our drink order. I asked for a menu. The woman came down to our side of the bar and started talking to the guy who gave us our drinks. I could hear what they were saying. Again, after looking at the menu we waited, and waited, and waited. Again I shouted " is anyone going to take our order". The woman turns around and starts screaming at me "stop shouting we're working". I said if you were working and taking care of the customers I wouldn't have to shout. The bartender who gave us the drinks said the drinks were on him because he knew the girl was out of line. Patrick, the owner of this establishment hard a very difficult time opening this place, took him a couple of years. He shouldn't have people like this working here. Every bar we saw in the neighborhood was packed because of the soccer game but not this one. Instead of having a nice time here we were met with lousy service and rude workers. Unfortunately I don't see myself coming back unless the staff changes and is trained right. I hope this bar/ restaurant stays open and is successful. We left after the first drink and left money on the bar to pay for them. We did not go in here looking for a free drink. read more

Waited for this place to open and start serving food, disappointed. One person in the party had a burger requested medium rare, unfortunately it was well done and dry. Someone else had a Rueben nothing special. And a shepherd's pie, a little under cooked and not hot enough. Will give it another try since it's a neighborhood place. read more

The place is a nice irish bar set up. I had a cider. It was from the tap and was cold and tasted fine. Drinks during happy hour were reasonably priced. read more

It's a good places, nice beer and good food, but unfortunately there's a bartender with an attitude, he is only behind the bar and really aggressive to give service, you need to beg him to get your order, and if the place is too busy forget it he always ignores, I don't know if he is the owner or an employee, but it's my third time there cause it's a nice place to watch the games and listen some good music, it's cause of that guy that I don't even recommend it, he is not really for a busy place like this, he is the one who always ruins the night, I think he is Colombian cause the accent, cause the rest of the team are really nice and positive read more

Nancy Blake's pub on Northern Bulivard is the new home away from home. Let's talk about the food, Shapards pie, the flavor of the meat and sauce under creamy clouds of potato's. Five out of five belly rubs. What is a Irish pub without fish &chips? A diner that serve that serves beer. Nancy Blake's is not that. There is no food and any service comes from a bartender that will point you to his sign BYOF, meaning:bring your own food. There is only one door, which has a.step. It must be illegal as it should have more than one area for egress. The one step would make it non-compliant under the ADA. read more
