    Smash burger and Guinness

Cold and super tall beer ! I went in just for a beer and was told there is a special $11 combo with smash burger. I was expecting a tiny dry burger because it was too good to be true lol. This burger definitely exceeded my expectations.

I honestly have to update this review. Haven't been back probably since shortly after they opened but I feel like they literally took everything I said in my review and gave me exactly what I wanted and that doesn't happen often. Saw a happy hour sign outside when I went to pick up some Yelp hand wash around the corner and it boasted of $5 pints till 7pm. Ingrid swings around after my pit stop for a peak inside. Twinkly lights are now hanging from the ceiling. I get a more warm and welcoming vibe. The beers on draft now are all craft selections and a wonderful variety to suit everyone's desires: stouts and dark beers, ipas, ciders. A few selections I've never heard of or tried. Gosh darn it, Wolfhound, you make me so proud. Now I will always remember this as a great other option from Judy and Punch if I'm ever in Astoria again.

Wolfhound is a modern looking Irish bar in a busy part of Astoria. We were told by the bartender that this place no longer serves food but they are working on it for now. So, at the moment this is just a place for drinks. They do have live music on certain nights though. And they have a decent drink special - $10 for a beer and a shot.

It's a Mets bar. What's not to love?

I was there recently for a Mets watch party that my friend hosted. There were a few groups of people that weren't there for the party, but engaged with some of the party attendees without issues. It was a really cool spot for the event where we easily watched the game and mingled. They had great drinks and I heard great food. I didn't eat there, but the food looked great. The staff were really nice and were Mets fans, so that helps lol. Def a cool spot to hang out whether you're watching the game or not.

Nachos, 10/10! Burger, 10/10! Beer 10/10! Service, 10/10! What more could you ask for?

After midnight and you're on the plantation with no other chores and can't sleep what do you do? If you answered take a walk and find a dive bar you're absolutely correct! At least that's what I attempted to do. I'm not sure Yelp knows what a dive bar is though, this one ain't as divey as I like them. It's actually pretty decent and a bit trendy. And clean and serene, nah, I won't call here a dive bar. Go to BKLYN or LI Yelp. You'll see. Cool staff. Eclectic music. Darts. Non problematic patrons. Guinness! Suki-Suki! The End.

The Wolfhound is a sweet little bar to get a drink. I ordered the Moscow mule and my friend got an espresso martini. Both of which came out quickly and were very tasty. There are some dart boards in the back to play and plenty of seating!

Great neighborhood bar. I've come in for the burger and beer special for $11, great price! I've also tried their Crispy Chicken Sandwich and it's also delicious. Good food, good music and good bartenders. Can't ask for more!

The dim lighting and overall atmosphere made it feel like a true hidden gem in NYC. The service was top-tier. Our server constantly checked in on us, gave us honest recommendations and feedback on the menu, and maintained such a positive attitude throughout the entire night. Even the manager was incredibly friendly and stopped by our table a few times to make sure everything was going well. It honestly felt like we were dining with a group of friends! And the food was delicious. If you love pickles, this is definitely the spot for you! There were pickle options everywhere, from fried pickles to diced pickles incorporated into the dishes. Everything was flavorful, extremely filling, and satisfying. One small tip: if you order something that comes with a biscuit, be mindful of the biscuit sitting underneath the chicken, as it can get a little soggy. Other than that, everything was great! Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would definitely come back. A great atmosphere, amazing service, and delicious food -- definitely worth checking out!

A friend and I chose to experience the Restaurant Week lunch special since neither of us had been to this restaurant before. We sat at the bar and decided to go for the $19 lunch special they serve Monday - Friday instead. We had alot of staff servicing us. Even though we sat at the actual bar, we had a floor server attending to us as well as the bar staff. We even met the manager, Tiffany, as she introduced herself to us and made sure we were taken care of properly. The UWS location is huge. It is about 2/3rds of a North/South block with an enclosed patio built in the front of the restaurant. The bar is simply beautiful. It is half inside and half on the sidewalk also semi enclosed. I did not walk around the inside of the restaurant but I did see there were alot of mirrors and a darker interior. Bar was filled with liquor on the walls and gave it a modern day saloon feel. Very comfortable and inviting. We ordered drinks initially. They were carefully crafted and tasty on a hot summer day. I ordered the Waldorf Salad lunch special and my friend had the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. I must say the portions are large. They make sure you do not leave hungry! :) Both entrees came with soup and a second side. I had the biscuit and honey/maple butter. Oh my was it heavenly. My friend was super satisfied with her sandwich. It looked like a meal fit for a Queen! All of the food was seasoned well. While we were still enjoying our meal the bar changed from lunch to happy hour service. My friend decided to order the Margarita flight. It came with three flavored margaritas for a mere $12. I tried the Spicy Brine Margarita and it will now be the only drink I have for future visits. So delicious and flavorful. We were having such a great time as the bar filled with patrons and we spoke with our neighbors. At this time one of our servers brought us a complimentary pretzel. It was the star of the show from presentation to taste I would recommend anyone to try it. The bathrooms are unisex. By the time I needed to use it the restaurant was crowded and so it needed to be serviced. The stall I utilized had a strong urine smell and needed a proper cleaning. Management might consider placing air fresheners in each stall to at least give the illusion of cleanliness. This restaurant raised the bar for hospitality! The service was top notch as well as the food and atmosphere. If you have not tried this place I highly suggest that you do. It is a 100 out of 10 establishment for NYC! My gratitude goes out to all of the wait staff and bartenders that made our experience so wonderful.

I visited NYC this weekend for my friend's birthday and she made us reservations at Maison Pickle…read more I've been to Jacob's Pickle with her multiple times in the past, their sister restaurant, which was delicious, so I anticipated Maison Pickle to be just as good. It did not disappoint. Our waiter truly made the experience. She was so lovely, attentive, had great suggestions, and even offered to turn down the loud music as we were right under the speaker (and followed through!). It was very crowded and busy inside, but she made us feel like we were her only table. We started with the pull apart bread with honey butter. Unreal - soft, buttery, deliciousness. We also got the deviled eggs which were solid, filled to the brim. The mac and cheese had penne noodles, an incredible cheese sauce blend, and a crispy top. The french dips were both delicious - the onion just had deep flavor. The reuben dip had a delicious horseradish sauce, though i wish it had more sauerkraut and a more reuben-like feel. Steak frites were reportedly delicious, steak cooked to perfection. We ended the dinner with the oreo ice box pie and 24 layer chocolate cake. The oreo ice box pie is something to write home about. As a cookies and cream lover, this is one of my favorite renditions of it and I could have easily demolished the whole pie myself. Maison Pickle is such a fun restaurant, very reminiscent of Jacob's Pickles. Large portion sizes and a showy display, but also follows through in terms of taste. You know darn well I will be back for more. *Pull Apart Bread w Honey Butter *D'olived Eggs: evoo, chives, maldon salt *Mac and Cheese *Deluxe French Dip: beef sirloin, fried onions, horseradish aioli, caramelized onions, gruyère fondue *Reuben French Dip: beef sirloin, gruyère, sauerkraut, russian dressing, onion au jus *Steak Frites: pan seared ribeye, garlic butter *Oreo Ice Box Pie *24-Layer Chocolate Cake
