Nancy can do anything! The pants I gave her required three fittings and I was sure after the first one she'd give up. But, nope, she didn't. Never ever again. I guess I should have asked before I left the dress for a hem. It is the hamptons and I have lived out here in summers for 20 years so I get it. But I had a sundress hemmed, and it cost $110!! I live in Westchester which is not an inexpensive place to have things done either and the most I have probably ever paid is $50. This is just ridiculous. I even had it pinned when I dropped it off. read more

She does a great job but make sure to get a full and final quote before you drop anything off. I ended up paying an average of 130dlls per item to alter sleeves. read more

I'd like to start by saying that Nancy and her team are absolutely amazing at what they do and are very kind and sweet. I've been going to her for years because of this. However, over the past three years, their prices have absolutely skyrocketed to a point that is egregious. It's actually obscene the amount that she charges. Nancy may not be the cheapest but the quality of her work is top notch and a good value for that quality. If it's a super simple thing on a garment you don't cherish, then maybe the tailor at the local dry cleaner would be fine and a bit cheaper. Worst!!!! She ruined two of my wedding dresses a week before my wedding. Both totally stretched out and she took the tags off before I decided which to wear after steaming. Now they both look awful and I'm left with nothing avoid!!! read more

Nancy''s Taylor was recommended by Henry Lehr's men shop to shorten two pairs of men's jeans. When I went there the person who measured my jeans did not measure both legs despite my request. She had trouble communicating. When I got back my jeans, one pair has one leg longer than the other. I measured the inseams and discovered a 3/4 inch discrepancy. Unfortunately, the hem of the jeans is very narrow so the only remedy is to shorten the long leg. Apparently I did not get Nancy but her assistant so be sure you get Nancy. After this experience, I will only use my tailor in Manhattan. read more
