Nando's is good. It's a major chain that has an interesting take on the bird, compared to the otherwise bland offerings in the city. Sorry for the dig, Londoners.
This Nando's is nice. Its trendy, spacious and accommodating. You secure a table, order up front and they bring your food to your table. A table near the seating area features plenty of unique and interesting sauces for you to sample with your chicken.
The chicken itself is not exceptionally tender or luscious--just good--but the sauces that you can put on them really add the flavor that you need. I recommend the lemon pepper sauce--it was a welcome relief from the altogether disappointing garlic sauce. The lemon pepper sauce had a nice tangy kick, but retained hints of a savory flavor.
Also, the chips [fries] were noteworthy--definitely get them with the seasoning. In a city where you can get chips with every meal, I was disappointed time and time again to see just plain f---ing fried potatoes. Throw some damn steak seasoning on there! Nando's, thankfully, offers chips [fries] with their Peri-Peri seasoning. It's a citrus-influenced seasoning that tastes nice. You won't be able to stop eating them. read more
