    Chicken slaw fries nom nom

Big clean location. Easy free 3 hour parking right outside. The food was great. I'm always so happy to grab a Nando's meal when I'm on the E coast or in the UK. The chicken is excellent, amazing flavors. The service was seriously manic. I appreciate being greeted but overkill when 10 people do it and on repeat. Maybe the management needs to relax. Was a bit overwhelming. The slaw had a good herby flavor but the salt level almost knocked me out. I'd skip that next time.

What a great place!!! Warm and friendly greetings from staff right when I walked in, a nice gentleman offered me a menu. Just made my day. I ordered 3 thighs and brussel sprouts. Everything was so tasty and fresh. As I was enjoying being able to relax and decompress from my day, one of the other employees, petite Asian female offered me a dessert because she felt bad the food was taking a while. I had the carrot cake and it absolutely did not disappoint. Moist, with lovely layers and tons of nuts and flavor. I'd definitely recommend it! Thank you lovely Peri Peri staffers!!!

I went to Nandos late one night with a friend, hungry as hell, looking to eat well and we were not disappointed. We got 1/2 chicken and chips with a side of rice and ate it all in no time because it was so delicious. This location is also pretty cute with different styles of seating areas and chairs. Service was quick, staff were super friendly and the restaurant was clean. This is definitely not fine dining but the service, general ambiance and food taste make it a 5-star ext

Yummy sandwich and easy to order online. I tried the new sweet potatoes, but didn't get a fork so they were a little tricky eat. The garlic bread is always good, and the chicken sandwich was super flavorful and tender. Would definitely return. The coke machine is just ok - gives you way too many options and they don't really taste right. Love that they have sauces easily available to take in to-go cups. My sandwich really didn't need any extra sauce but it was great.

Nandos reminds me of the Peruvian restaurant, viva chicken, but better. The peri peri chicken bowl had great flavor.

(From June, 2023) My friend who I met up with on a Sunday evening in early June requested this specifically since he was coming from Las Vegas and he doesn't see these places out there unfortunately. Nando's is his number 1 food spot and he emphasized I would be aboard the food chain once I tried it myself. Needless to say, I get his obsession with it as I have been converted to a fan and I'm excited they are opening more locations. I decided on wings, 1/2 chicken w/ macho peas, and a mango lemonade. My friend ordered the chicken sandwich with fries and mashed potatoes (double carbs). We shared everything and I was loving the eats and the sauce. He ordered the xtra hot for us which has a kick but not overwhelmingly burning. That is my sauce for future visits. As for the chicken, it's tender, seasoned nicely, and has a nice char to it. Drizzle that sauce on it for a power punch to the taste buds. The macho peas were also tasty; like green peas in mashed potato format with some spice. And of course, you gotta drizzle that sauce. Wings are large with char and saucy as I like. Also loved the chicken sandwich and fries; the bread holds the snadiwhc right and the fries have the right crispiness and seasoning. I didn't try the mashed potatoes since fries were enough carbs for me. And of course, you gotta wash it all down with that mango lemonade; absolutely delish! As with all locations, you order on the app whether you're picking up or dining in. If you're eating in the restaurant, they'll provide a buzzer when the food is ready. Staff here is friendly and hooked us up with extra sauce. While we rolled in about half hour before closing, I'm thankful they had all the items we ordered. Well, I don't know how they could sell out of anything given their items are derived from that chicken! This location is near the Reston-Wiehle Metro stop. There's plenty of parking as well. And I've been informed as I'm writing this that they have a location in Houston, my current residence! Looks like I know where my next meal will be from!

Good food, especially when looking for something a bit lighter. There wasn't enough chicken for the entire bowl, as it seemed a bit like half a chicken breast. However, the bowl was filled and was very yummy. Would definitely order again!

This location often leaves items off my order but check them off on the receipt. Double check your take out order before leaving. Sad chicken thighs look like nuggets.

For a fast casual chain, the food is fine and the service is like Chipotle. The sauces are, however, very fun to try. The chicken was not too dry and the rice was well-cooked. The salad was also pretty good and goes well with the lemon herb. The sauces are interesting, but besides the extra hot and garlic, I would say the rest goes with the greens. Would come back for a quick bite from work!

    Super burnt!

I love nandos and frequent the mosaic location often. However, the Reston location wasn't up to standard for me. We ordered chicken, macho peas, dirty rice, and mashed potatoes. Of the 4 chicken pieces we got, 2 were heavily burnt and one was super dry. The other was cooked perfectly. As other reviewers had noted, I think this location could improve by having better consistency with their grilling. The staff were super nice so I think if I had dined in and noticed the burnt chicken on the spot, they probably would've been more than happy to cook up another one. Unfortunately, I ordered takeout so I didn't notice until I got home. On another note, the portions seemed smaller than other locations but that might've been my imagination with takeout. As usual, the sauces are some of the best around... However, if the chicken is too far burnt, no amount of sauce can cover that up!

Nando's is a restaurant I've known and heard about for a long time, and have always wanted to go to. Don't ask why I've wanted so badly to visit a Nandos. It seems pretty random, doesn't it? Of all the places- famous steakhouses, gourmet celebrity restaurants, even televised sweets shops would make more sense to be on the list of "want to go's". But nope, I got Nandos. Don't make me explain because I just really can't. Haha. Okay, so I've wanted to visit Nandos, right, but there's never been one close to me, so I hadn't gone until now. So you can imagine how exciting it was. And I thought it was good. I got a chicken salad rice thing that also had grilled peaches, peppers and a few other things and it really hit the spot. I'm for sure copying that recipe on my own. Nandos is a big chicken place, and I think that can be fun. But really, I am again wondering why I wanted so badly to come here. It's a good option to eat, but it's not really a crazy, out of the ordinary experience or meal to eat.

    Cool interior!

Second time visiting, blown away both times! Fast casual joint making it comfortable for a solo diner. The sauce game is legit. Very unique menu!

"Three thighs" - 3 overcooked and burnt offerings the size of chicken nuggets, with a side of coleslaw swimming in mayo. Will not return.

The awning outside needs refurbishment and inside furniture is not updated. It's dark inside, almost like a night club. Perhaps it is sometimes. I did not like the decor, it was a little run down and honestly did not match up to the prices. The service was also disappointing. I felt that staff lacked a bit of professionalism and they rarely checked on us. The plates are huge. That is a plus. My partner ordered the goat and I tried the red snapper. I think one plate is big enough to share. I like the spinach, but everything needed a bit of salt. While the red snapper was coated in a lovely tomato and red pepper gravy, I felt it made the crispyness of the fried fish disappear and it was kind of soggy. Maybe you can ask for the gravy on the side. The food is not bad, but given the physical establishment and the service I wouldn't return.

Our waiter was so charismatic, helpful, and kind. He even turned up the music in our corner of the restaurant upon request! The food was generally good, just a bit on the drier end. Even the stew wasn't really soupy. So if you were trying to mix some rice with some stew, you basically got cake on your plate. Regardless, everything was seasoned to absolute perfection. Also, don't know if this matters but it may matter to some- though this is an East African Restaurant, the menu is slightly more Kenyan than Ugandan. Something to keep in your expectations when visiting!

Chef Endalk came out to greet our table personally, walked us through the menu, and genuinely seemed invested in making sure we loved the meal. We ordered a generous portion of raw beef for kitfo, and after we sampled a piece, the kitchen happily cooked the rest to a beautiful medium rare -- no fuss, no attitude, just quiet hospitality. The vegetable platter held its own against the meats -- just as vibrant and flavorful, if not more so, with layers of spice in every lentil and green. The samosas were a fun twist too: a lighter, crispier shell closer to an Asian spring roll than the heavier Indian version, stuffed with well-seasoned lentils instead of the usual potato filling. And don't skip the housemade hot tea -- a strong bite of fresh ginger balanced with lemon and honey, the kind of thing you crave again the next cold day. Small room. Big heart. Bigger flavor. I'd heard great things about The Continent, so it felt like a must-try especially since Swahili Village is one of our go-to favorites for comparison. The space itself was great, nice interior, well-decorated, and service was solid throughout. They also had two distinct vibes going: one side had a bit of a DJ/lounge energy, while the other was more elegant and laid-back, better for actual dinner conversation. We sat on the calmer side. Drinks were good. We had a sangria and a tequila-based cocktail, both solid. For appetizers, we got the shrimp and the beef samosas. Unfortunately, the beef samosas just didn't hold up compared to Swahili Village's. I've had Swahili Village's beef samosas multiple times and they always come out hot, crispy, and consistent. These didn't quite match up, and that was strike one for me. The shrimp appetizer was nice, good sauce, though it could've used a bit more depth of flavor. I also ordered the pepper soup, which was excellent and genuinely spicy (more than I could really handle, but I still finished it). For entrées, my boyfriend got the Suya with jollof rice, and I got the red snapper with jollof rice as well. He really enjoyed his. The beef was cooked well and flavorful, and the jollof rice was good. My fish was also cooked nicely, though the sauce needed a bit more flavor. The bigger issue: they were out of plantains. That was strike two, and it stung more because it was my boyfriend's birthday dinner and plantains are his favorite. It's rare for an African or Caribbean restaurant to run out of them entirely. Overall, a decent experience, but with the high expectations going in, a couple of misses kept it from fully living up to the hype for us. I'd go back for the pepper soup and give it another shot, but I'm hoping for hotter, fresher samosas and actual plantains next time.
