I stopped by this Chick fil A while in uniform and was really impressed with the level of care and customer service. The manager on shift went out of his way to make sure everything was taken care of and treated me with genuine kindness and respect. You can tell the team here takes pride in what they do. This review is specifically for the Reston Chick-fil-A on Sunset Hills. I only order takeout from inside the restaurant, so I can't speak to other ordering methods. I go there at around 11:00am so it's never very crowded when I order. I like the food at Chick-fil-A it's always consistently good; in fact, it's the only fast food chain I visit regularly. I've had their sandwiches, their nuggets and their cobb salad. This Reston chain is probably my favorite and the one I go to most often. The staff are always so friendly and accurate with your order. The managers are always walking around helping out and always say hi when they see me. The restaurant as well as the restrooms are very clean. In the five years I've been going there, I've only had an issue with my order one time, and when I contacted them about it, they gave comped me a cobb salad because they neglected to include the salad dressing I ordered. This store also gives location specific rewards quite a lot. I don't know what it is about this Reston location, but even if I'm closer to the other Reston locations, I'll generally go out of my way to order from this one. Kudos guys! read more

For the first time in years, I actually stepped inside of a Chick-Fil-A instead of using the drive through. I was amazed at the person attention, professionalism, and overall politeness of the person taking and handling the order. He constantly looked me in the eye (who even does that anymore), smiled (wow!) and even said he hoped I had a wonderful day. I was taken back. Food is noticeably worse than other Chick-fil-A locations. Consistently undersalt the fries and overcook the nuggets. But it's still better most everything else out there. Service on the other hand, is hot garbage, the worst I've seen, and I've been going to Chick-fil-A since the early 80s. Ordered two kids meals, brought them home, no chicken in either. Dinner ruined, young children upset, it's not even an option to drive back and waste 30+ minutes. I can accept mistakes, and the young people that work there are polite and just doing their best. Management, on the other hand....their solution wasn't an attempt to make it right (eg deliver it to us), but instead to issue two 5 piece nugget coupons. Seriously, could you get any more chintzy? So you think we should have to piece together our next kids meal a la carte, and pay more, because of your screw up? It's the little things that say a lot. Ordered via the app and did curbside pick up - it was a little confusing to find the pickup parking spot. I placed a catering order at this location, for pickup at 11:45am. I place catering orders frequently at chik fil a, but usually pick up at the south riding location. I've never had any issues, the food is always ready at my designated pick up time, and they add all condiments, napkins and utensils. This location was 30-40 minutes late with my order, did not apologize for the delay and did not communicate at any point that it would take 30-40 minutes after I arrived for my scheduled catering order to be ready. I sent an email to the manager of this location and he said that there was another catering order ahead of me and, additionally, they do not prepare catering orders until the customer arrives for pick up. There was not another catering order before me - there was a guy who arrived for a catering order about 10 minutes after me though and his order was ready before mine. I had no idea that they did not prepare catering orders until the pick up person arrived - defeats the purpose of selecting a pick up time. At any rate, an apology when my food was finally handed to me would have gone a long way. Heck - a simple apology, w/o an excuse, in response to my email and I would have dropped it. Also, they included 8 ketchup packets, one small bottle of chik fil a sauce (for 120 nuggets and 20 sandwiches) - no napkins or utensils, that I had specifically requested and was told were in the bag. 12/13/19 Thank ever so much Tommy (A customer) and Anna (A manager) for helping me out of a embarrassing and annoying situation. A hundred percent of it was off a stupid mistake I made, but they helped me out nonetheless.  So what happened you might ask or wonder? It very simple. I took my primary check card out of my wallet for something and forgot to put it back in. Off the top of my head can't remember where I placed my check card so it is lost right now.     Tommy  who was a customer was standing behind me when I was talking to the manager named Anna and he overheard what my situation was.  Anna knew me a  regular there and gave me the food and knew I would pay them back. I MOST CERTAINLY WOULD.   Tommy the customer said "Don't worry I'll take care of the bill. I don't want you to have to make a return trip." I thanked Tommy even though my mind and body language  was in awe.    I don't know if I will see thing guy again, but he reminded me of Deputy Rick Cologne from the 1986 Friday The 13th Part Six.  Thoughts of paying back this man did occur,  but I think he would rather I pay this generosity forwards to someone else.  This is not the first time I have been stuck in a situation like this before.  Someone else helped me out than too.  I have also seen other people in situations where they in a financial bond at the moment and I stepped into help them out.  Good karma does go around and I am sure an opportunity will appear when I can pay it forward to someone else this month or next. The way I see it since Anna and Tommy helped me, I will need two random acts of good deeds. Only time and opportunity is all I need. When it comes to fast food, yes, I'm a fan of Chick-fil-A. We've been to this location a few times recently. For the most part, the ordering process has gone quite well. Only once did we get an employee, although polite, had some problems taking our order. For example, I ordered a bottle of water to go with my salad. After he rang us up, I asked about the water, which surprised him and he gave me a cup of it! Since he didn't charge me for the bottle of water, I let it go. Otherwise, we haven't had any problems. This location is kept clean. The parking lot is kind of awkward. After you park, then head to the front door, you really need to be careful as the drive-through exit is literally next to the door. We tend to park in the lot that's across from the place as it is easier to get in and out. We like their salads, especially the cobb salad. It's got a good mix of veggies and the amount of chicken given is very generous, which makes it a good, cheap meal. They used to sell roll ups that had chicken and veggies but discontinued them... Sometimes I wish that they wouldn't tamper with the menu...but...it is what it is. For fast food, they do it quite well. Sometimes, I think of going to Chick-fil-A on a Sunday but then remember that they are closed. Oh well... read more

This is a very busy Chick-fil-A and its frequently very crowded with huge lines, and two entry lines to order and pay. Lines move very quickly even when the lines wrap around the block. I come here about once every week or two and I've never been inside the restaurant. I'm usually going somewhere or on my way home and want a sandwich, waffle fries and sometimes a shake. Service is almost always quick even though the lines are tremendously large. They know what they are doing and keep their customers happy. My first time at a Chick-Fil-A today. I had no idea they do breakfast. We went through their Drive-Thru. A coworker of mine recommended I try the Chick-n-Minis meal - which is a small biscuit with a nugget of chicken in it. You get four of these, plus a small box of tator tots/hash rounds. I love Chick-fil-A, but our drive thru order was C- tonight. We ordered the soup which was okay. Someone was heavy handed on the salt on the fries and sandwiches. Would you like some fries with the Salt? -lol. Nugget would have been great if they gave us the correct sauce. My husband had asked for honey mustard and got the Chick filet sauce instead. One of the most popular lunch spots in the area during the work week. They have a great system and process but due to the speed, they lack accuracy of orders. There is one "manager/lead" named Emily, and she definitely does not have the "Chick-fil-A" attitude. Does not smile at customers, give attitude when customers speak to her, and drags her feet like she has all the time in the world. There's something about this specific Chik-fil-a that makes it stand out from the others. I would take Chik-fil-a over many other fast food options. It's the management at this Chikfila location that makes the business so likable and efficient. I've visited the Springfield location and it can take about an hour from walking in the door to receiving my food. Whereas, at this Reston location, the line can be to the door, but you can still be out the door with your food in under 10 minutes. The drive-through has two lanes and is very efficient as well. The staff is very friendly and has a positive vibe. Food wise, you can't go wrong with the classic Chikfila sandwich, the spicy pepperjack deluxe, or go healthy with a cobb salad. The original iced coffee is good too (vanilla can be super sweet at times). read more

We called door dash to have it redelivered, we also called the store to make them aware of the cold fries and missing item. Came here because of a work conference and had to get something quick, easy, and fast. I honestly spent about 10 min max inside the restaurant. This was 7:30 am in the morning so Chick fil A was the only place that was open. It served the purpose well for something quick, easy, and cheap. Walked into the restaurant and ordered. Got my order in less than 5 min. Ate my food and moved on. The place was overall well managed in terms of it cleanliness. It was early so there was only a couple people in the restaurant. Parking was extremely ample because it was 7:30 am. I practically parked across the street right in front of the restaurant. If you are in need of breakfast on a Saturday morning in the area of Reston town center, and you are in a hurry this might be a good place for you. I see eating Chick Fil A as better than other fast food places but at the time choices were limited. It provided what I need which was a quick cheap meal so I can move on to my work conference. I never had issues with customer service from Chick Fil A as I feel like they value service a lot more than other fast food chains. We drove back to pick it up and one of the employees acted as if we wanted to pull one over on them. As if we wanted to drive back to get missing items that we had paid for!!! They were annoyed that we would question it!!! SERIOUSLY not what we wanted to do... they asked what time it occurred and had major attitude. Went here for a quick drive thru on my way out of Virginia. It was raining out side and I guess the intercom wasn't working, as an employee unfortunately had to stand outside taking people's drive thru orders. Gave her my order of a Spicy Deluxe Sandwich ($5) and a Cookies&Cream Milkshake ($4). Food was ready by the time I got to the payment window. Milkshake is certainly thick, with lots of cookie crumbles inside. Sandwich has a mild spice but was hoping the cheese would be melted on top (would have been much better that way). Not bad for a quick stop and the line isn't long. read more
