Having had many hot chicken spots, I'd say this one is one of the better ones. I don't think it beats Dave's Hot Chicken for me but definitely holds its own. The size of the chicken they use is probably the most surprising part. It was actually a big piece of chicken for a sandwich but I'm not complaining. The spice level was good but I'd definitely go hotter than hot next time. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. The fries were also very very good. I'm a fan of waffle fries so that's a plus for me. We did a takeout order and it didn't take too long for it to be ready. Only 15 mins I think. The restaurant is a tad small but that's because it's in the Worldgate shopping center. My girlfriend and I will definitely be back because it is closer than Dave's in DC.

Good, not great. Ordered takeout online, got two Chicken Sando and the Chicken and Waffles dish. Location is in Worldgate Center, in Herndon. There's plenty of parking in the lot outside, and also nearby shops and restaurants in the same complex, such as TGI Friday's and Weird Brothers Coffee. I got second highest level of spicy, for both the Sando (spicy hot, I believe). Chicken Sando was spicy and needed napkins, but not as bad as the highest spice level. I recommend not getting that unless you're serious. I tried it once at a different Hangry Joe's, and felt like I was dying inside. In short, there's a difference between bravery and sheer stupidity. Be the wolf, not the dog (I guess that kinda makes sense? Even though one is evolved from the other, lol) Anyway, food was good, and portions were acceptable. However, not outstanding flavors or taste. I'll give it a pass, though.

With a wait time of 3 hours for Topgolf we searched for a nearby place to eat. Maps pointed at at Hangry joes, and with a group of 15 persons, where majority was kids, it was bound to be fast food. Area had a Big parking and we found one just in front of Hangry J. Very similar concept as Dave's hot chicken, with white bread served with tenders, many levels of hotness, for your choosing. We ordered sandwiches, chicken tenders and waffles fries. The sandwich had the right crunch and juiciness and they served us fast. Perhaps that's why it's called fast food...,. Sauce is a must and the spice level medium was good level of hot food for me. We sat outdoor and didn't really capture the ambiance, but the staff was helpful and service-minded.

Great place to get some GOOD chickens sandwiches! There was only one lady behind the counter taking/dispatching orders, so there was a little bit of wait. The store is clean and spacious.

My go-to place when I want something yummy that is not too unhealthy, is reliable, does not deviate up or down too much, and is a decent price while also in a convenient location, if at least for myself. The chicken, bread, coleslaw, and fries are almost always well made. There are slight variations within how crunchy and how well cooked and seasoned the chicken is, but I would say it never falls below a 3.5 on taste and execution, and on a good day, it can be as high as 4.7 to 4.8 out of 5. When you account for the promotion that is currently going on on Uber Eats, especially if you have a Capital One Savor card, this is an impeccable deal. I order from here for both myself as well as my partner with recurring regularity. Is this the best hot chicken in the area? Possibly not, but it is pretty high up there. In terms of the heat, the flavors, the execution, and the quality of the chicken, this place likely beats out most; especially given price point and reliability. If you live in an area with a Hangry Joe's and you don't patronize them, well... you're missing out. Initially I was going to offer a comparison to the more instagram-friendly places that a lot of people seem to congregate at these days, particularly those who are overpriced, overly loud, and have service, ambiance, and food quality and execution issues; but then I decided, as opposed to throwing (albeit true and legitimate) shade, I would allow for Joe's to simply speak for itself. If you are a spice novice or not spice resistant, begin with Mild.

When I heard about Hangry Joe's, I took a look at their menu and liked what I saw. What pleased me was that their chicken was offered with varied degrees of spiciness. It ranged from no seasoning at all to "angry hot". If you want to have "angry hot" you are required to sign a waiver...it's that hot...yikes! As we've gotten older, we just can't handle very spicy items as well as in our younger days. Plus, when it came to super spicy, I was always a wimp about it anyway. Thus we were pleasantly surprised to see that Hangry Joe offered up their chicken with choices as to the spiciness. We were there on a Saturday around 6:30 and they were doing a good business. They have a few tables inside as well as outside. We chose to eat inside. You can place your order directly with an employee or at a touch screen. We did it by talking to an employee. The young man who helped us was friendly and patient when we had a couple of questions. We both got the "salad with chicken breast" which consists of: "Romaine lettuce, cherry tomato, cheddar cheese, chicken breast cider slaw and croutons with a choice of balsamic, ranch or caesar dressing". I chose balsamic while my husband chose ranch. We both got our chicken prepared with "mild spice". To drink, we shared a bottle of water. Since everything is prepared to order, it took a little while to get it. The wait wasn't bad at all, in other words, we didn't get annoyed about it. The chicken was served in small pieces. Each piece was consistently tender and juicy. The mild spice was just right for us. I describe it this way --- it added flavor to the chicken without overpowering the salad ingredients. Still, it did give us runny noses and our lips were tingling. We were very surprised at how generous the portion of chicken was! The salad ingredients were all fresh. In fact, we found ourselves getting quite full! We both agree that we want to return and try other items. Right now I have my eye on the "Korean chicken nuggets" with soy garlic sauce (the sauce is available in spicy and non-spicy form).

Hangry Joe's was not bad. I was a little concerned about the quality before going, based on other reviews but, they seem to have locations everywhere, so I wanted to give them a try. For my meal, I got the "Combo 1" option at a mild spice level, which comes with their "Chicken Sando" sandwich, waffle fries and a fountain drink. I enjoyed the sandwich as it was a good size and did not fall apart as many of these types of chicken sandwiches tend to. In terms of the spice, I did not find the "Mild" level to be spicy at all. As far as the waffle fries go, I was disappointed. They tasted fine but there was only a small amount. Overall, the meal was good but not super special. If you like chicken sandwiches this is not a bad place to go to.

In this local area there a million places to chose from and I chose here. Ordered the chicken nuggets in spicy soy garlic sauce which came with white rice... I wish it was actually spicy but the sauce was flavorful all it was missing was a few broccoli florets just 2 or 3 to balance out the flavors. I'd definitely come back and try a few more items.

Chicken wings were undersauced, underseasoned, undercooked, & overrated. Fries were good as well as the sauce they came with. Their sweet tea was very flavorless, I would not recommend it as a drink. Service was okay, cashier was slightly confused on what cup size goes with the combo I ordered. Not my favorite ambiance but it had a lot to do with decor & slight lack of cleanliness (food on floor).

I was excited to try this new spot as soon as I had seen the signs come up. It replaced the A-deli that had been there for a while. I decided to go on a Thursday night around 6:30PM and the restaurant was crowded. There was a line of people waiting to order, and I decided the quickest way to get my order in would be using the kiosk. I was able to get my order in within a few minutes. There is minimal seating inside, but I was able to get a table. I ordered the Chicken Sando (mild), the large chicken bites (mild) and the spicy soy garlic Korean nuggets with rice. Everything was delicious, but very spicy! I've already been back to the restaurant and went with the no heat spice level and the experience was much more pleasant for me. The prices were reasonable for the amount of food you get. The chicken Sando was amazing and the size of the chicken in it was huge. Definitely a great addition to the Worldgate Center!

Food: So, Hangry Joes is starting to win me over, and here's why: big portions, that halal chicken, and a flavor explosion! When I explore new hot chicken spots, I usually take a chance and go for the "hot" level, and this place brought the heat! Their chicken is juicy, crispy, and it's so massive that it practically breaks free from the sandwich. You can see it in the picture - it's almost comical how much chicken there is, but I'm loving it! They've got those thick-cut pickles, a cooling slaw, and a sweet, creamy sauce that's spot on. Now, I'm a fan of mixing things up, usually preferring to have honey and creamy sauce separately to customize my flavor. But Hangry Joes serves it up all in one package, and I'm getting used to it. Vibe: The spot isn't the biggest joint around, but it's got enough room for a few groups to enjoy their meals while they're still fresh. You can choose to order at the kiosk on the left or have a chat with the friendly owner, who always seems to be around. It's generally pretty chill - a few people coming and going, and the occasional group sitting down. It seems like most folks are opting for takeout, though.

Hangry Joe's does not disappoint. First time here and loved it. Did Mild this time. Next will be medium. Went with Sando Combo 1. Chicken sandwich was phenomenal. Crunchy outside. Juicy and tender inside. Delicious toppings. Bun is tasty. Chicken filet was huge. Only advice. Add more fries. What you see in the picture was the serving. Other than that, this place is awesome. Service with a smile. Fast service. Great food. Should be a 4.5. Packed at 1120 on a Wednesday.

We pretty much ordered 1 of everything to go. One of my favorite fried chicken spots and my usual go to is the salad with medium heat chicken and ranch dressing. It is a smaller location and the parking in the shopping center isn't the best so we usually take it to go. The self order kiosks are easy to use or there is a cashier you can order from. Not a whole lot of seating side but there is some outside. Definitely check it out if you haven't already

There's so many delicious spins on the classic dish I would've never thought of. Rather than getting a meal there, I bought the medium and large size chicken salad containers to make my own sandwiches throughout the week. What I ordered: The Olivia's Old South and Jalapeño hopper were my favorites but all the flavors I got really good! Your order comes with crackers. If you get their sandwiches it comes with 1-2 sides. Service: The staff let you try as many of the flavors as you want at the restaurant which was super kind! That's how I knew which options to order. Overall, I'll definitely be going back and ordering a couple of the larger chicken salad containers for weeks I don't feel like meal prepping. Inside restaurant: It's a large spot with tons of seats. It's a casual vibe.

Ordering, when dining in, involves giving one's order to the person at the counter. A nice man was working there and greeted us with a smile. I told him it was our first time here and we would probably have a few questions. We looked at the menu (they have one on the wall as well as a laminated one). I chose their 1-scoop platter. For my chicken, I chose "Carol," which is a simply dressed scoop. They have other scoops that have items in them, such as pimentos. For my side, I chose "broccoli salad". Crackers are given with each platter. Plus, a cookie is given (mini round buttercream frosted). My husband got a croissant with Carol's chicken salad. He got a cup of soup instead of a side dish. We each got soft drinks. A cup is given, and it's self-serve. All in all, we enjoyed our meals. The decor, to me anyway, reminded me of an old time kitchen table, complete with plastic tablecloths with prints. I felt the decor gave off a cozy feel.

They catered my mother's 75th birthday celebration, and it was truly exceptional. We had a guest list of 300 people, and every single one of them raved about the food! They loved it! We ordered a delicious variety including their famous fried chicken, grilled chicken, chicken nuggets for the kids, rice, Campero beans, coleslaw, and their incredibly flavorful mac & cheese. Everything was perfectly hot, fresh, and beautifully organized when it arrived. The delivery was punctual and seamless, which made such a huge difference for a large event like this. Thank you Okely for the delivery service. From the very beginning, Carlos Gonzalez from the Pollo Campero call center was absolutely phenomenal. I was nervous about coordinating such a large order, but Carlos went above and beyond to make sure every detail was handled. He patiently explained everything to me and followed up with calls just to reassure me that everything was on track. His customer service was top-notch and honestly one of the best experiences I've ever had with any company. Thanks to Carlos and the amazing Herndon team, the food was a HUGE hit and helped make my mom's birthday celebration a truly memorable day for all of us. I am so grateful and appreciative of the professionalism, care, and quality Pollo Campero provided. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Sincerely, Lorraine

And the kicker, one of our sandwiches was made with moldy bread that had been torn up. We contacted corporate, and was told to expect a further response and resolution. It never came. They provided poor service, used slurs, left food out, and served dangerous food. Never again.

Since it was our first time ordering in person at this location, we were surprised at just how bad the parking situation was. I pulled into their lot to discover very few spots plus if you aren't careful, you end up in the drive up order lanes. Well...so much for that! Of all the Chick-Fil-A's we've been to, we've never come across such dismal parking. So...my suggestion is that if you want to order inside, park your vehicle in the main shopping center lot in the area of Giant. I found a pull-through spot right across the lane from Chick-Fil-A. As for the food---both times we ordered the Cobb Salad. I like to get the avocado lime dressing for my salad, which is their default dressing for this item. My husband likes ranch dressing. We take the default chicken pieces which are oven baked (they call them "nuggets" but they are really just cut-up chicken pieces). If you want the breaded nuggets, just let the clerk know when you place your order. My husband was the one who placed our order and said that all the staff he dealt was polite and friendly. It didn't take long for him to get our food. We like this salad due to the assortment of veggies plus you are given dried red peppers to sprinkle on top. Plus a small container of fresh bacon bits to sprinkle on your salad. We also like that there is a cut up hard boiled egg and some shredded cheese. We actually live a little closer to the Chick-Fil-A on Sunset Hills that's right across from Target. That store had ample parking which consists of some parking outside the place plus a lot that is shared with two other fast food places. We would definitely call Doordash again if we want to eat at home. Or, if like this past Saturday, we were out doing errands and the North Point Village one is the logical place to stop, we would go there, now that we're familiar with the parking set up.
