We ordered to go at the front and waited a good 15-20 minutes which is fine. However the food was incomplete? And the cost was insane compared to before. So for two bowls, fries, a fountain drink, it was $47 after tax.. and one of the bowls (the one with meat) came without majority of the toppings. Which is an unfortunate find when you get home, since the bag is stickered shut. I have been visiting this location many times at this point and it's always a great experience. Last time we stopped by on Sunday for lunch. Not too crowded, the staff is very friendly. I see many new items have been added to the menu and this time I had a rainbow bowl. Definitely a great choice but I couldn't finish the whole portion, it was a little too big for me. I've always been a Nando's fan, but some location are definitely better than others. For instance, if it's inside a mall, stay away! Bu this location was really enjoyable. Super clean, well organized, and good quality. I ordered a half chicken, medium heat with a side of grilled corn on the cob. The food was at my table inside of 10 minutes. Very good chicken, it was really juicy. My only real criticism is the tip of the chicken wing was completely burned black. Maybe wrap the thing in some foil to prevent that? They have plenty of sauce bottles with plastic cups to use at your will. I went heavy on the lemon herb sauce as well as the wild herb. Now the wild herb, I had never seen it before, I don't even think it's available for sale. It has a touch of heat on it, but really like how pungent the herbs are, the rosemary, the thyme, the parsley, the garlic. The corn was fine, needed a little butter, S&P. I'm always a fan of a Coke freestyle machine. But in this case, it was the peach iced tea. Perfection! Just the right amount of sweetness and freshly brewed. Ater checking-in we we shown to our tables. You have to order and pay for your food using a phone app and then they bring the food to your table. That's the only option. So if the app is not working, you are out of luck. It took us three tries to order our food because my amex card would flag the payment by their app as fraud. And it is for a genuine reason. Their card processing is done somewhere in NYC and so my amex would see that my location is in VA and my card is being charged at NYC and flagged it as fraud. I had to use a different card with less stringent verification to order food. Everntually, it worked. **Food** Food was absolutely delicious. We were in town and needed a place to eat for our family. We've been to Nando's a while ago and now they use ordering from phone which is fine for us. Someone did seat us and let us know how it works. I shared my chicken thighs (boneless) with the kids and chose a milder sauce - mango and lime and I loved the flavor, although they were small and a tad spicy (the kids could handle it but I think some kids might find it too spicy). Hubby had wings at he hottest level. The flavor was ok but i thought the meat was a little dry. The restaurant was clean and had a festive/colorful decor. A coworker and I arrived for lunch and we were immediately greeted at the counter by Jessica. She was very helpful in making our selection at ease. They served variety of chicken in fiend of bowls, platters, sandwiches, wings and salad. For sandwiches, you are given a choice of either white or dark chicken which I thought was a cool preference and your choice of flavor chicken. It comes with a variety of sides (of your choice) and a drink. I order the medium dark chicken sandwich with seasoned fries. The chicken was so juicy and tender. You have choices of fountain drinks or homemade drinks behind the counter with flavors such as pineapple lemonade or blood orange mango lemonade. I order the blood orange mango lemonade and it didn't disappoint. My coworker order the lemon herb chicken with their mac and cheese. Their mac was creamy and delicious. The service here was horrible, we were the first table sat of approximately four tables in the restaurant. My girlfriend order a half chicken with two sides, it came out and looked half cooked. No grill marks or char that's typical of Nandos. They also forgot to put the sauce on the chicken, didn't have utensils available etc. I ordered a wrap with garlic bread and fries, almost 20 min after my girlfriend got her food I still had received mine. I looked up and it was sitting waiting to be picked up by the waitress. At this point my girlfriends meal is done and we are about to leave, I ask the waitress about my food (now 30 min after half the food arrived) and she's says "oh...I think we are waiting on the garlic bread or something". I said no thank you, we are leaving. She mumbles something and walks away. She spoke to the cooks, walked around to other tables that were sat after us and got their food before us, then goes back to the kitchen. I was waiting to see if she would package the food since we were leaving. Eventually she walked over with the wrap and cold fries (no garlic bread). I told her no thank you and to send the food back, it had been sitting out for quite some time. She did not offer to have fresh food made, or refund us for the food we did not receive. For years Nandos in Woodbridge has been my first stop when coming from NC. The containers would be full of hummus and veggies and lots of pita. NOT ANYMORE. This time...1/2 container of hummus, 6 small pita squares and 8 tiny pieces of veggies. I went back and asked if they forgot to fill it up and she said that's normal. The last time I had Nandos was in London in 2019, so I was so excited to know that our hotel was across the street from a Nandos! This Nando's is in a shopping center so there is plenty of parking and this Nando's is pretty spacious. We hadn't eaten since landing in DC so we ordered a lot of food. I ordered the 1/2 chicken in medium with two sides, my sides were peri chips and Portuguese rice, my husband on the other hand had the chicken breast sandwich with a side of garlic bread and chips! In the UK stores they give you your extra sauces in packets but in the states you have to put them in the ramekin which is fine because you get to have as much as you can. The chicken was just as tender as I remembered and there were so much good flavor. The next time I had it I did get the chicken thigh combo and it was so good. They also have about 10 sauce options, so there's something everyone should like. When my out of town relatives come to visit, we go to Nando's in large part because it can be adjusted to tastes ranging from mild to spicy and you can feed a bunch of people without breaking the bank. The staff is typically friendly and efficient. I have not really been impressed with any of the sides. They have a bunch of options - salads, potatoes, peas and garlic bread to name a few. None of them have really impressed me, so I typically just stick with a salad (when taste doesn't outweigh calories - go healthier ;-). I also wasn't a huge fan of their wings, I find them kind of rubbery. But the chicken itself is really fantastic and the atmosphere is fun. read more

Had a superb experience here. The place was about packed but we got seated instantly and we were served our family platters (we ordered 3) right away! The chicken was so tender, juicy, and fresh off the grill. The sides (grilled corn, garlic bread, and fries) were also superb. The Nando's hot sauces were also very tasty and not overly spicy. The only issue is the few bathrooms. They only have two, one-person bathrooms in this joint so you have to wait. But the bathrooms are clean and spacious so that's another pro. If you want to just wash your hands (which is a must because the peri-peri platters call for eating with your bare hands) there's a sink right by the door with soap and lots of paper towels! read more

You scan a QR code, and it'll take you to their menu, where you can order and pay. We order something simple, like their signature peri peri chicken legs. It would come with two sides , and If you want more , you can add as well. The peri peri chicken is roasted and has that charcoal , crispy chicken skin, flavor. Every peel of that chicken thigh, was hot and delicious. The aroma lingers , that makes you want to have more. Their Portuguese rice was cooked in spices , that make it have that lingering heat. The Brussels sprouts was roasted , but wasn't over cooked and would still have that crunch on every bite. In the menu, you can also order the sauces. The medium heat peri peri sauce , has a citrusy taste , that matches well with the chicken and rice together. Architecture and ambiance wise?, very rustic . Well, more like an elevated rustic look. We've been a few times but it's been the first time back since the pandemic started. We ordered a wing and chip platter (half mango lime, half lemon herb), a side of Portuguese rice, and two naughty natas (egg custard tarts, not a fan of the name). The original wing platter used to be 24 wings and two sides so it kind of sucks that they changed it to only chips. Pick up was quick and on time so no issues there. All the food traveled well with the exception of the chips because it was a little too hot and got sort of soggy but still had a little crispness. The wings were grilled perfectly but I just wish it had a little more of the sauce on them. The rice was ok, could've used a little heat or spice. Loved the egg custard tarts, nice and creamy with a good flaky crust. It's been dependable each time we've eaten here.
