The Chicken fried was rice was ok need more seasoning and they use basmati rice compare to jasmine which I would prefer but it ok at least they don't use the cheap American rice that alot of place are using to save money. I had heard about this place and I had to try it. The place was certainly clean and cozy. The service was OK, since I had to go back to the counter, forgetting forks for the salad and fries, and they would not give me more than one fork at a time, and they were very stingy with handing napkins. Now let's get to the most important part, the food. We ordered a whole chicken with side of fries and salad. The chicken was not fresh and must've been cooked before and kept in a warm drawer because the skin was soggy and the meat was cold. The taste was good, however the most exciting part about these Peruvian style barbecue chicken is the freshness of it, which this chicken lacked. The fries were great and very delicious and fresh and the salad was very good. I will give this place a try one more time in the near future to see if it is just a fluke or it's a usual thing to prepare food and just keep it warm, which is a very bad practice. The young lady at the counter informed us about the halal chicken they use and even managed our expectations in terms of how long it would take for the next batch of chicken to be ready. I appreciated that because it allowed us to determine if we wanted to wait or not. Fortunately, I came with the chicken bowl in mind but I will definitely return for the whole chicken. Went to Rocco chicken yesterday to try for the first time. We ordered half chicken with fries and plantains as well as a combo platter with chicken and gyro. Everything was delicious. The chicken was very well cooked, flavorful and literally falling off the bone. The platter is one of the best we have had - better than halal guys and DCG in my opinion. The plantains were delicious as well and caramelized to perfection. The owner was also super nice and checked in multiple times to see if we needed anything else.
