I really, really want to like this places. I've been eaten twice and I have been pretty disappointed both times. The garlic naan is delicious. The service has always been good, though I've always gotten my food to-go so my interactions have been brief. The food is ready on time and piping hot, which is nice for a to-go order. I am disappointed because the food is bland, which is shocking for Indian food. It generally lacks salt and the spice complexity that I love about Indian food. read more

The wife and I stopped in here around 6pm for dinner and we were seated right away. Our waitress "Supriya" came over right away to take our drink orders and explain the menu. Our drinks arrived pretty quickly, but it took a little longer then normal for our meal to arrive. My wife and I ordered the chicken and lamb tikka masala and it was really good and the meat was very tender. The restaurant was very clean and quiet. Immediate 5 stars for my taste buds!!! This location is literally across the street from me, and I'm just visiting. I guess everything is in it's own time. Now! The butter chicken!!! I got it spicy, but the flavors go through the roof! Beautiful atmosphere, friendly service I love it! I think it's Basmati rice and it's sooo good. I recommend this location as a regular, and now to try the butter shrimp! Excited!! read more

Food, service, and ambiance all fantastic. This is an experience - not a simple dinner out. Opened for lunch 10:30am to 2:30pm and they re-open at 5pm. I arrived at 1:45pm and was greeted with a smile by the bartender who was clearly busy with customers at her bar. Nevertheless, she smiled and indicated I could sit anywhere comfy. Wasn't seated long when she approached with a menu and returned with a standard table starter of Papad with tamarind and mint sauces. Prior to entering, there were daily specials posted, so I went for the Raspberry - Pineapple mojito - DELICIOUS! The appetizer was Jhol Chicken Momo, main dish - Chicken Biryani. The appetizer came out after the main dish because it takes longer to cook. Both exceeded my expectations. Super large portions. Now, they give you the option of choosing your level of spicy, and the Biryanis is accompanied by a lovely, cooling yogurt with veggies mixture (on the side) which tempered the heat. Great! The heat does NOT drown out the flavors. Hearty, hot, wholesome, healthy. I loved every bite of these super-portioned meals. My wife and I enjoyed a great Happy Hour meal and drinks at the bar. Excellent selection of beers on tap and my wife had the Lemon Drop Martini. We loved the steamed mono's as an appetizer and then shared the fried rice with vegetables, chicken, and shrimp. Service was excellent and we'll be back again soon. read more

This place is my new favorite in all of DFW. I give it 5 stars for delicious food, 5 stars for food & drink creativity, 5 stars for atmosphere and 5 stars for service. They got everything right! The food offerings are from a variety of backgrounds so the menu is a fusion of choices. The food we choose was not a fusion the Indian food had the richness and depth of flavor you would expect from a traditional restaurant/recipe. I had been dragging my feet about going to the new Nanglo Restaurant on N Collins because I have never cared for rice or curries. My friend encouraged me to go to Nanglo and I was blown away! I had the chicken Chow Mein. It was to die for! The free corn chips were light and airy and the green and brown dips were delicious. My friend and I tried the garlic basil Naan--Delicious. This place is a higher end Indian restaurant than others around. We came in the afternoon, and it is peaceful. There is also a bar too. The fried then pan fried chicken momo were delicious! Several dishes but still limited on sides Not really impressed but we stuffed our faces anyway. The order menu looks really creative and has good reviews. Should have ordered off the menu. Food was in chafing dishes that were very poorly heated. The food was room temp at best except for the dessert, which was hot. Minimal amounts in each chafing dish and food didn't taste or look fresh. None of their sauces or dressings were labeled. I would not recommend eating buffet style here, at the risk of health issues. If a food inspector were to come in & sample the buffet - they would have issues. read more

Excellent food and service in an upscale setting. We had the coconut mojito and pineapple strawberry margarita specials and both were verrrry good. Tried the steam dumplings , lamb biryanis and chicken tika- all delicious and high quality. Price was same as other Indian places in the area that did not have very good food or quantity so if your looking for a Nepalese/Indian place in Arlington, this is it. I specifically went here for the Momo because my favorite place got hit by the Pandemic. Now, the momo was good, but it wasn't the style I was looking for and there weren't many varieties. I did also enjoy the curry that I ordered, but I can find the same for a couple dollars cheaper. read more

Ok. We tried this place on 2 separate occasions. NEVER AGAIN! Like the first time we ordered the curry goat and curry lamb. The goat needed salt. The lamb was clearly not lamb. It was beef. The 2nd time we dined in. Service was meh. We asked for water and tea. Never got the water. Vibe was quite inside. But this time we got the curry goat, chicken lollipop (bland). We ordered off the main menu because they don't have a 'lunch' menu. I had the lamb biriyani which I ordered 'medium' heat. Next time I will have it 'hot'. Our Server and Waitress seated us immediately, and were SO friendly! We got the Chili Steamed Momo, and the Steamed Chicken Momo at Medium Spice, and . Yum yum yum. We got the little crisps that are made I think of lentils as well? The sauces are SO yummy. The brown sauce is like, tangy but sweet but also spicy all at the same time, and the green sauce is CHEF'S KISS! I was thoroughly impressed with ALL items I received, the service was fantastic, everyone was so friendly and accommodating and they were impressed with my pronunciation of the Hindi, so, ‍. We had never tried Nepalese so we were very interested. We had a party of eight and one of our friends was grew up in Nepal. Restaurant was clean. Service was great and they were very willing to answer our questions having never tried before. Food was out very quickly during lunch on a Saturday. It got crowded after we arrived. I've been coming to Nanglo frequently for about 6 months and in the beginning they had some of the best tasting Nepalese food! However, every time I come back they switch the recipes up and I've noticed a slight decrease in the flavors of the dishes. It would be great if they played ethnic music as well, they have loud pop music and it's not a calming dining experience and not enjoyable to listen to when eating. My favorite dishes are the pan fried chicken momos (the best in the area) and they're naan bread is delicious! read more

This is my first time here and just moved to the Fort Worth area. I was greeted by Eshna. She is truly a sweetheart and made recommendations for my dinner. I had the Momo's and Tandoori Chicken. Everything tasted and looked super fresh and delicious. Eshna served me some really thin and delicious chips with two sauces- a cilantro lime and tamarind sauce both were equally delicious. Definitely recommend this place and I will be back many times. read more

Chicken dishes consisted of very small meat pieces, tea was Walmart gallon premade tea where I expected Tea India fresh tea. Price high for variety and quality of buffet offer. We arrived midweek at 1:15 PM and buffet dishes were not refreshed. Best arrive closer to opening. Yelp lists a website that is no longer accessible, raising question if the business is failing?

Alone the food is amazing. I've tried too many things and have been more than satisfied by everything I've ordered, so all I can say is, anything is great here. However if I can recommend something specific, it'd be the Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, Vindaloo with Goat or Lamb, the spinach paneer, the sampler plate, the garlic naan, the paratha, the cauliflower... The list goes on. All that aside, the customer service is amazing. They remember everytime I walk in and ask how I am and/or my family if they aren't with me. The service is quick and very polite. 10/10 I highly recommend a visit.

My advice: order to-go, choose naan, and then cook plain rice at home :)

From the moment we arrived, the visit felt very different from what I would expect at a welcoming restaurant. We were greeted politely at first, but shortly after, two non-Indian customers walked in, and the waitress immediately went over to welcome them and bring them water. We had not been offered water at that point. When she eventually came to our table, she asked if we were ready to order but did not seem fully present or attentive while we were speaking. We then had to ask if we could also get water. When it was brought out, one of the glasses was broken. Later, when we pointed it out and asked for another glass of water, there was no apology or real acknowledgment, which was very disappointing. We had to keep asking for water unlike other non Indian tables. The food itself was mediocre, but the service was what made the experience unacceptable. It felt like we were treated differently compared to other guests, and that is not something I expected or appreciated. Unfortunately, I will not be visiting again.
