My husband and I stayed three nights at this Inn in September and it was perfect. The accommodations were great. Everything was clean and the staff were very accommodating. Breakfast was tasty and again they were very accommodating regarding any dietary needs. The staff was accommodating with dining recommendations and arranging activities for us. When we needed a cab we informed the staff and the cab was waiting for us. The location is perfect if you are a walker. It is close to the town center and other little coffee shops. We stayed at the Inn for 4 nights and hit the jackpot with this beautiful B&B. All the staff were friendly, treated you like family and were available for suggestions, reservations etc. The fully cooked made to order breakfast on the patio each morning was the perfect way to start the day. They offer a spread each afternoon with coffee, teas, carrot cake and other goodies. We were able to help ourselves to cans of water from the refrigerator and daily newspapers were in the parlor. We stayed in room #2 which was beautifully arranged with a big comfortable king bed. The shower was perfect pressure for us. There is on-site parking for those who need it, and a bicycle rack for those renting bikes. I cannot say enough about this wonderful Inn and it's wonderful staff. We would definitely stay here again for a Nantucket visit. read more

After reflecting on our traversal across the east coast from Kennebunkport, Newport, the Vineyard, and Nantucket, this is easily the best stay we had by a good margin. From the morning newsletter/itinerary of things happening in town each day, to the in-house made to order breakfast, to the afternoon snacks, this was excellent. Other places may have more name recognition, but for the quality, this blows them away. read more

I never stay in small inns because I feel like you run into staff all the time-but this was the nicest inn I have ever stayed in. The staff were so kind and helpful, and it was the most comfortable room I could have asked for. Every morning they put an activities of the day under your door with happenings on the island. On the back are the movies and times playing that night, and they let you know what their breakfast is that day on site. This is included in the room fee, and looked wonderful. Every day around 3 they put out iced tea and treats, and they have a lovely patio area if you want some fresh air. I am here in off season, so my room was extremely affordable. Comfortable bed, great tolietries, and a crew that really cares about your comfort! I will be back for sure! read more

I was lucky to get a last minute booking at the Union Street Inn and I couldn't have been happier. The room was perfect. I was in room #5, an upper corner room. I received an email warning me that the bathroom was very small, but it was perfectly fine. It was a hot weekend so I was happy to find that the air conditioning worked well and was very quiet. It made it easy to get a good night's rest. The staff is wonderful. The breakfast was great. If I make it back to Nantucket I will be looking for a room here first. read more

I've come to Nantucket every summer for years, staying at different inns each time. This is by FAR the best. The ladies at the front desk are cheerful, welcoming and uber helpful. Our dinner reservations for our entire stay were all arranged by them before we even arrived. Breakfast is included--and this isn't a "continental" breakfast consisting of a muffin or croissant. This is a breakfast of your choice of 3 or 4 menu items, all fantastic. Our rooms were kept extremely clean and well-stocked with towels, water, etc. There is free WiFi and a computer in the hall. The location is also great--right by the shuttle station and only a block or two from Main Street, but on a quiet street. I was delighted and can't think of anywhere I'd rather stay on future visits. read more

YAY! I get to be the first to review the Union Street Inn! When my husband and I first met, we started a tradition of vacationing in Nantucket every summer. In the beginning we were looking for that perfect place - so every year we'd try a new B&B until we found one we were excited enough about to settle on. For me, it was Union Street Inn. Ken and his wife, the owners, are perfect hosts. Unlike other B&B's we'd stayed in, they offer services like full concierge (which is helpful when trying to line up those ever popular dinner reservations in the summer), put free little bottled waters in the common fridge, always have coffee, herbal teas, and some sort of munchie out for guests. (Big huge cookies, or muffins, for example.) They offer beach towels. Their breakfast is the best I've had at a B&B in Nantucket. There is always the same cold option - bagel with smoked salmon and the fixings, or you can get toast (made with homemade thick whole grain bread) and fruit. Then they offer one hot entree that rotates depending on the day. Examples would be an incredible omelet, or french toast smothered in fruit and served with sausage, or eggs Benedict. When it's not raining, breakfast is served in their lovely secluded garden. The rooms are decorated absolutely beautifully, with Frette linens, Pierre Deux wallpapers and curtains, and classic color schemes. Rooms have genuine antiques or reproductions - but they are in good condition and not worn like other inns I've stayed in. Bathroom amenites are by Fresh. And the inn has free wi-fi. Be sure to book the Union Inn early - they sell out fast. Their availability calender is conveniently located on their website. read more

A beautiful B&B in the heart of Nantucket run by a sweetheart of an owner, and just about the only such kind of place that serves a full and delicious breakfast that comes with the room. That room, however, is a bit over-priced for what you get, so, from a value perspective it loses a star. Nonetheless, one of the nicest and most romantic B&Bs on the island. read more

What a great place... the rooms are very nice and opulent, but the building is older, and the walls are a little thin, so keep that in mind when you're in the bathrooms :) There is free wifi, and the location is right off of main street, so it's a quick walk once you get off the boat, and you're in walking distance of just about everything. The proprietors are fantastic, and very accommodating... they let us store our things there for a day after we checked out, and were constantly offering free coffee and food... T and I booked it out of Boston on Friday like a 5th grader escaping out of school on the final day before summer vacay. We caught the express ferry and arrived at Nantucket for our 5-year anniversary celebration. They were really great helping plan and make reservations for dinner, and having a bottle of veuve ready to enjoy upon arrival. We had the largest corner room with an attached sitting room. Stayed here for a quick getaway in June. First off, remember June is considered early season in ACK, so we still paid a decent price but nothing near what they want high season (I think the room we stayed in goes for $500-600 in august). The innkeepers were excellent (knowledgable, nice, and helpful). They obviously put a lot of pride into the place. The breakfast was also excellent with multiple options cooked to order. Our room was as described, a nicely renovated old house room. It creaked, had a tiny bathroom, etc, but those little 'charms' are to be expected. All in all this was a great place for a getaway, but it is pricey like the rest of ACK. read more

On a whim, my husband and I decided to escape to Nantucket for a minimoon a week after our wedding on Cape Cod. We stumbled upon this gem and are so glad we did!! Great place to stay. Clean and cozy. We have stayed only for one night initially but then decided to extend it to two nights. Stuff is super friendly, nice, polite and always trying to help. Breakfast is so delicious and they have four options to choose from plus complimentary Prosecco around 5pm. My fiancé and I stayed here for our honeymoon trip. We absolutely loved it! The Union St Inn is nothing short of amazing! The staff, Stacy, Leigh Ann, Bethany, were all so helpful to us. Also, had some of the BEST breakfasts there, included with the room. Anything that we needed (phone chargers, coffee all day, water bottles) was available to us. Very clean, and strong attention to detail from the staff. They also provide beach chairs, towels, books, and magazines to bring along to the beach in a beach bag when the weathers good. We stayed for a long weekend away at Union Street Inn celebrating our wedding anniversary. For us it was the perfect location for walking to any interests in Nantucket town. Our room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable with a tasteful mix of historical and modern decor. Choices at breakfast were fantastic with offerings as substantial or as light as you wish. Staff was always available, ready to help and inform but never intrusive. This was our first trip to Nantucket, but thanks to Union Street Inn and the wonderful staff, it will not be our last. read more

My husband and I stayed at this inn recently for our honeymoon and it is definitely not worth the money. We had signed up for a romance package which was supposed to include a couples massage at the White Elephant spa. We got a call from the inn a day before check-in that massages are sold out at White Elephant inn and if we would like to have them booked somewhere else instead. We had specifically signed up for the massages at the White elephant Spa and we did not want them at any other unknown spa for that high price, so we said no. The staff did not even apologize to us for this mistake when in fact they should have booked these in advance for us or at least let us know in advance that they were not available. On top of that, we were promised complimentary champagne and chocolates, out of which we only received a small box of chocolates in our room and no champagne. All of the management and concierge at this hotel seemed a bit stand-offish and condescending in general and were barely even thanked for our stay when we left. Needless to say, we are not going back to this place. UPDATE: After posting the above review, I got a call from Ken, one of the owners. He reached out to me to talk and get some more details about my experience and to see if there was anything they could do to make it better. I explained to him why I felt the way I did and he was very understanding and cooperative. He even invited us to come back and stay at the inn again at no charge or refund us the amount of our stay if we cannot make it back there again. We won't be making it back there again so they gave us a refund. All in all, we felt better about everything after talking to Ken and they seem genuinely concerned about our experience and about being in the hospitality business in general. read more

We think this is the best B&B on Nantucket. This was a repeat visit for my wife and I and we loved it. In fact, I had forgotten how much we really loved the place. First, the breakfast is a full breakfast, which is a rarity on Nantucket (I read something that mentioned there is a goofy local ban on this? Not sure, but most just do continental breakfasts). The breakfast is fantastic, served on the spacious patio. The innkeepers are also accommodating toward food choices by offering eggs if you are on a low carb or some other dietary restrictions. On the morning we were there, they were serving blueberry pancakes, which looked fabulous but we'd done a sweet b'fast the day before and opted for mini omelets, which where perfect. Secondly, the rooms are impeccable. They have nice beds with top notch linens and plenty of pillows to make for a great night's sleep. The TVs and wifi are all reliable and the bath is also supplied with excellent shampoos and soaps. Great water pressure too. They do everything to make your stay perfect, including: making restaurant reservations in advance (we appreciated that!), offering beach supplies for day trips to the beach, bicycle parking (we rented from one of the local shops and kept our bikes overnight) and just about anything else you can imagine. This place rocks. We will only stay here for future Nantucket trips. read more
