Since I knew motor mounts were not worth anywhere near that amount I chose to replace them myself for $50. However, this did not resolve the issue because the diagnosis was incorrect. I later identified the actual problem as a parking brake wire contacting the driveshaft, which was a simple and inexpensive fix. This represents a significant misdiagnosis and a large difference in cost. The second experience involved calling ahead twice to confirm availability for a resonator delete as the shop is about an hour away from me. I adjusted my work schedule and drove out based on that confirmation only to be told upon arrival that they likely would not be able to complete the job. I was advised to wait which I did for about two hours but ultimately the work was not done. This resulted in lost time, money, and other inconveniences. I want to clarify that I did not miss any appointments both visits were made after confirming availability in advance. Clear communication is especially important when customers are traveling long distances and planning around work schedules. While I understand that scheduling problems can happen the combination of being told services were available when they were not along with the earlier misdiagnosis led to a huge lack of confidence in this business. To me, this interaction felt untrustworthy. He also used jargon unnecessarily to make it sound more complicated than it is, something any reputable mechanic shop should avoid. The labor to replace the sensor is typically 5-10 minutes, and the part can be purchased OEM (Nissan factory) for ~$230-$250. My advice: get a second opinion or buy the part yourself to save hundreds of dollars.

Jammed up my steering wheel, telescope and my turn signal then called me a liar twice on something I didn't do. If I do it I own it! Anyway, 3/4 of my car bill is labor and 1/4 over inflated parts, cars finally put back together but I can't pick up during the M-F 9am-5pm hours and closed weekends. So l told them to leave the car out and I would pick up but when I turned on car I had to shut down fast and get it towed out of there fast. It's like someone purposely played with the motor. I never let any shop know I have more mechanics skills than most there workers, they still think women are dumb. They loosened and flipped my alt belt, loosened and chewed up teeth on my lower two belts, damaged my new paint job.
