When I started my search for a 2025 Ford Maverick Lariat AWD Hybrid I quickly realize this was going to be a major undertaking after search the web and visiting no less than (3) dealerships before talking to Bozard Ford. Since the main purpose of purchasing this particular model was to flat-tow it four wheels down behind my MotorCoach it's been difficult navigating the available data, there's been a lot of confusing communications regarding this vehicle, mostly due to the fact that this vehicle is a newly released AWD Hybrid, Ford's literature, owner's manual and press releases sparked skepticism across the industry to the point that as of the time of this review the (3) baseplate manufactures still have not engineered and release the equipment needed to flat tow this vehicle unfortunately. Well after putting out a few feelers Hayden Lewis at Bozard Ford in St. Augustine reached out to me early on Friday morning just after I requested additional information on their inventory. He is one of the few salespeople I spoke to across a number of dealerships that actually listened and communicated clearly without any sales pitch - after starting a string of text messages he told me he had exactly what I was looking for on the lot and available for sale, I may have shown him a little doubt in my messaging only because this vehicle is somewhat of a unicorn at this time. After going back and forth for a few minutes he grabbed the keys of this vehicle and went outside and shot a video and texted it to me giving me a detailed tour of the exterior and interior then called me and answered all my questions which was quite a few being I had done my due diligence. Hayden is a straight forward sales professional he told me this particular model doesn't stay on the lot long and being this was a special order he could not hold it even for a few hours without a deposit over the phone that would be fully refunded if I decided I did not want it once I looked it over. I arrived a few hours after our conversation and he had already pulled it out front in good lighting cleaned and fueled, since I already shared my license and insurance info via text we took it for a spin after a quick walk around. Hayden is very knowledgeable on the products he sells and took the time to go over everything inside and out and showed me how to access everything on the touch screen including loading the FordPass App on my phone. Well fast forward another hour we completed the purchase after spending only a few minutes with the amazing and efficient finance manager going over the warranty and signing the paperwork being we weren't financing. After purchasing so many vehicles over the years I can't remember a better car buying experience. Mr. Ray, I thought long and hard during my hour long drive home yesterday. You had said you would have the truck, I drove down to see, on the lot. I'll be honest, I was ready to buy on my way there. But after being given excuse after excuse, almost 1.5 hours worth, the point is you did not want to make that sale. I was first told the truck was on the lot just couldn't locate the key, that lasted 15 minutes, I was ready to leave at that time. Then Mr. Bob asked me to sit so he could show me a simular truck, it was a 6 cylinder. Then I felted double teamed when you came over. Maybe I was just not in the mood to spar with you but I was and am very disapointed in the way I was treated. So I have decided I do not want to do business with your dealership. My wife took my sons F150 in too look at noise under drivers side wheel well (turned out to be a bearing). Received news of issue with no details or estimate. Then to top it off when my wife drives the truck out of the lot she noticed the air pressure on alerts said rear tire was down to 28 after the had the truck. She called immediately and Robert the service technician said bring it back. Upon arrival they wanted to charge her another $55 dollars for a nail picked up! I've got a 2017 Mustang with 10,000 miles on it. It's a convertible it's great, but it's not a 5 L so I wanted to drive one of the new cars and see if it would be worthwhile trading mine. Dealt with Jeff Erickson at the dealership and I have to say it was the worst experiences ever. I typically buy a new car every other year and currently have a Chevy Silverado, a BMW X5, the mustang and a brand new Jeep unlimited. I'm in sales and very used to the entire car buying experience. But this experience was one for the record books. I set up a time to test drive the Mustang - my initial impression of Jeff was "what a bag of donuts". He walked ahead of me & there was very little normal interaction or pleasantly happening. In fact, I wondered who would buy a car from this guy? We got in the new mustang & what is surprise Joe bag of donuts didn't have the keys... we had to go inside and try to find them. He didn't offer any information about the vehicle and definitely didn't seem to know how things worked in the car. The car only had 3 gallons of gas so we took the shortest test drive of any test drive I've ever had in my entire life. The new mustang didn't have all the equipment that I wanted, and Jeff indicated that there was a car on the lot that might "work for me"... there wasn't. The follow up and my interaction with Jeff the next day was so pushy, non-transparent and demanding... he sent me the wrong figures showing $10,000 in fees? Then said that the most they could give me was $20,000 & then that changed to $23,000 for my trade. he accused me of only asking for 21,000 and he was giving me 23,000 so he wasn't sure why I wasn't doing the deal. I found him to be so obnoxious. I ended up, blocking him. I wouldn't dream of buying a car here & wonder if I really want to even have my car serviced there if this is the kind of individuals the dealership hires. read more

I had a great experience buying my new Maverick from Bozard Ford a year ago, so wasn't surprised to get great service from them when I was in a jam. I rented a uHaul trailer on Saturday about noon with a 2-day road trip ahead, but discovered the tow hitch lighting connector on my Maverick had no output - it wouldn't light the trailer lights. Bozard Ford was on my way out of town, so I called and got Travis, the service advisor. He was clear he couldn't promise anything, as the service techs were all booked on appointments, but said he'd take a look. When we arrived he couldn't find a problem right away, but took it back into the service area. Less than 10 minutes later he was back and we had fully working lights. He and a technician had found a wiring connector under the truck had come loose. They saved our trip! This is great service and I was again glad I picked Bozard. Everyone at this dealership was wonderful: We were traveling back home to Michigan after vacationing in Florida, towing our camper, when my husband's truck broke down right on the expressway. The truck was towed to Bozard, and they made arrangements for our camper to be towed to Camper World next door- (which will also be getting a great review.) First off, Matt in service was great- facilitating the truck getting looked at, while Piper provided me with a hand written list of nearby hotels and was so nice. We found out the needed repairs were too numerous, so Mike W. and Brandon from sales assisted us in finding a new truck and the best deal. They went above and beyond - after all we had been through, they gave us personal attention, were very knowledgeable and turned a very stressful situation into a positive outcome. Pushing that into their already busy schedule when I was originally just there for an oil change... I work in the dealer industry so I know the level of attention that takes. ***Read before you have your vehicle serviced*** I purchased a custom order over $100k 2022 F-250 Platinum Tremor from Bozard. Jeff in sales was amazing to work with. I spent another ~$5k in accessories on my truck with Bozard. They have a beautiful facility. Taking my truck in for routine service and a windshield arm recall (I was previously told my truck was not affected by this recall) was a regret I will have forever. While in Bozard's care, my truck was damaged. It has less than 10,000 miles on it, and I have had it for almost a year. It is not a daily driver and is never parked near any other cars.I had the truck Ceramic Coated the first day I took possession to protect the paint. Someone at Bozard either opened my driver's door into a very hard object or something very hard hit my truck. You can see from the picture that this was not just a scratch. It is deep. It went through the ceramic and clear coat, ultimately damaging the paint.Now Bozard is "taking care of it" by sending it out to have the door repainted. Sounds great, right? Wrong. The truck will never be the same. I do not plan to ever sell my truck, but you never know. Any dealer would measure the paint thickness to ensure it was not in an accident. Now my driver's door will have thicker paint, and I can almost guarantee it will not match the rest of the paint exactly. If it does not match, I will be asking for a new factory door. Now I am with a brand new truck that is damaged. I have the loss of use of my truck for 7-10 days when it should have been in and out of the dealership in one day max. I will lose the use of the truck again when I have to have the ceramic re-applied. (Bozard agreed to pay for the ceramic) That will be two more days, and I will not have a rental for that period. I am stuck paying for the rental car insurance coverage, the anger that someone else damaged my truck and did not report it internally at Bozard. The anger that my brand new truck without a scratch on it now has a door that has been repainted. Look, I get that accidents happen. If it were a tiny scratch, I would not have cared. That is why I have the ceramic on the truck as a second layer of insurance against damage. It does not protect against something (likely metal) impacting it hard enough to go as deep as it did. I also am sure people will say, "it is a truck." No, it is not. It is a luxury vehicle that will never see dirt. It will never be driven in the woods to get hit by branches. The moral of the story, make sure your service writer documents any and all damage to your vehicle. Inspect it before you leave. When my truck was brought around to me, the person left the door open, and I got in. I drove home (1.5 miles), shut the door, and saw the damage. I called and returned to the dealer immediately. My service writer, Steven, has been fabulous to deal with. He didn't do it. I picked up my truck on his day off. Buyer Beware of this place!! I Brought my 2020 Ford Explorer ST in for routine repairs and the mechanic ended up breaking my Turbo. They claimed they fixed the issue at no cost to me but 1 month later I have issues with the turbo and because I've completely LOST TRUST in BOZARD FORD's ability to do quality work I brought it to another local Ford dealership for diagnostics and repair. They informed me that it was the Turbo. Interestingly I was required to pay a $107 dollar fee. I contacted Bozard but the representative on the phone told me the managers and all supervisors were too busy to accept my call. Bozard Ford, if I can't get a response from you regarding reimbursement for damages that your dealership caused, I will just contact Ford Corporate with proof of previous service showing Bozard Ford damaged my truck. read more

Called the service department to have new brakes put on my ford. When I arrived at my appointment time, they said my appointment was not with Bozard Service, but it was with "Quick Lane" Tire and Auto Center across the street. They explained that they don't do Brake jobs at the Dealership location and my appointment was automatically made there instead. Stan at the Ford dealership pointed across the street and said its over there. When I looked it was a building with Enterprize car rental one the outside of the building. I went inside to get better instructions from a different person. Drove over there and checked in. After waiting a few moments, I walked outside to see if they started with my car yet and it was in the bay with three people standing in front. It appeared to me that they were struggling with something on top of the motor of the car and it appeared that none of the three mechanics could complete what ever they were trying to do? After walking up to the edge of the bay I asked one of them if they could please tell me what they were struggling with? He said that they could not remove the cover of the air filter so they could complete their 21-point inspection. I thanked him went inside and asked the service rep about the ford dealership training at the Quick Lane and before I could finish, she interrupted me and said she would have my car brought around and I could be on my way. I opened the hood before I left and reconnected some of what they had disconnected and left to never return to the Bozard Ford dealership again. The people were rude and did not understand I wanted someone from the ford dealership that had "FORD" training to do the work. The only reason I made an appointment at the (what I thought) was the Ford service department. Obviously, none of the "Mechanics" Or shop technicians where familiar with my ford car. They assumed I would want to have my car maintained by a third party company that must be owned by the same owners and the dealership. I don't understand why Ford is passing off service to a separate entity and charging customers the same rate as the Ford service dealership does? I can assume it must be all about Money, but they are not getting mine. I found Bozard Ford dealership as well as Bozard Quick Lane; not people friendly, and not professional with people... or my car! Their skills and knowledge in my opinion seemed very limited, I am sorry to report. One day in these next few years I'll need to buy a car. My Husband and I have nothing but great reviews to share about Bozard Ford/ Lincoln. We had been look all over Central Florida for a Lincoln Nautilus. We had gone to a pain staking test drive at Central Florida Lincoln in Orlando it was just not a good vibe and they had so many extra costs floor mats was shing etc it was horrible. So, we started chatting with Hayden a Sales Rep at Bozard he sent us a price of the vehicle we were interested in, and that price did not change there were no surprise costs. The vehicles are marked up at this dealership - Once they the tack on the dealer fees, etc you end up paying too much. There's not much room for negotiation and to be honest they probably don't have to because someone else will end up paying asking price with all the added fees. This dealership is located in a shopping plaza and competition is limited since there's no other dealerships in the area (that I can see). They are also expanding since they purchased the Gander Mountain next door thanks to all the suckers that overpaid for their vehicles. The car I was looking at had a few flaws. I noticed the windshield was replaced but left some extra sealant. Also, the fluids were a little low which makes me wonder if the oil and filter were changed. My salesperson Zach said they do but I wasn't too sure about it. The car was also missing a SD card for the navigation and they said they could knock off a few hundred for that. I walked. read more
