We had 2 couples, but the bathroom is spacious and never caused an issue for any of us. The place is very clean; towels and sheets all smelled like a Downey commercial. You can tell it is all very well taken care of; beds were very comfortable too. It is stocked w/ anything/everything you can think of needing during your stay and you're well within walking distance of downtown for excellent wine tasting and restaurants. The English gardens are beautiful and sitting areas around the back of the house are perfect for a cozy hour of reading/relaxing. The only downside to our stay were the 2 cats that decided to get it on our last night at 1AM for about 20 mins. That's the house's fault...we were just unlucky, I guess. The neighborhood is very nice; no worries about crime. Overall, we were very safe, more than pleased with our stay and will definitely stay again. Keep in mind there are no staff members on the site except for breakfast and at check in between 4-6p. Raphael was able to answer my questions via text. Free parking is a plus. Nicely decorated, automatic fireplace, soaking tub, loved the humongous shower, double TVs in living room and bedroom. Our room faced 1st street. The TV has basic channels and allows you to cast. We used the huge soaking tub and the fireplace was automatic. The walk in shower was huge and pressure and hot water were totally fine. The location, service and the hotel was amazing for a romantic getaway.

What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the people. Gave advice on what restaurants, shops, and wineries she thought we'd be interested in. Bunkie, who worked at the office, was very helpful. We stayed in an off-site at the Petite Syrah bungalow. It was in perfect condition and so clean. The amenities were great! Prior to arrival, I arranged for them to provide a shower chair for my husband, who is ill. It was in the shower when we arrived. The bed was comfy, and the gas fireplace was a nice touch. We had a small patio and a separate porch, which were so nice to sit on for coffee or drinks in the early evening. There was a hot tub, but we didn't get a chance to use it. There were other bungalows, but we didn't see any other guests. It was a gated property. Shopping, the downtown area, and restaurants were all within a quick drive. Good delivery was easy and quick. It has a full kitchen and a good selection of utensils, dishes, and pots and pans. I recommend bringing your own spices if you plan to cook something special. I wanted cumin for a meal, but I could only find a huge jar at the supermarket. We got champagne at check in along with fantastic cookies. The room was well appointed with a fireplace and private hot tub in room. The shower too was spacious, clean, and powerful. Overall the place checked all the boxes and then some. The breakfast was over and above our expectations. Fresh fruit and a delicious homemade muffin to start. Cold juices and hot coffee. Yogurt and granola. All before the menu comes out with a custom made hot breakfast. My wife got avocado toast and I got an omelette. Both came with house made potatoes and mine had an option for a variety of toasts to choose from. All delicious and a great way to start the day. Really grateful to have found this place and already thinking about when we could go back. Also, perhaps most important, it's walkable to just about everything downtown, including the oxbow market and all the restaurants and shops in between, of which there are many.
