I had a great stay at Sonoma Bungalows. I stayed in suite 8, a corner unit which was very beautiful, quiet, very comfortable bed and most importantly spotless! The kitchen had everything to make a meal. Since the weather was bad during our entire stay, we made breakfast every morning and enjoyed the bungalow. Sonoma Bungalows is also located right in the center of the town with a lot of great restaurants and wine tasting places just a few minutes walk. Valerie was very nice and gave us some suggestions on what to do and places to eat in the town of Sonoma. The only thing is I wished I could have stayed longer.

Once again they did not disappoint! I'll never stay anywhere else! Beautiful property with wonderful amenities! Location is perfect! Staff is caring and prompt yet not invasive

My wife surprised me with this stay as she always does the planning for vacations! It was a small piece of property but so worth staying at even if you're spending all of your time in Napa which we did bc of the covid extenuating circumstances. We hope to get a chance to come back another time to explore more of Sonoma. If you find you are staying here you just might get ideas to renovate your home much like this!!! We loved it! Classy yet timeless interior design. Very much similar to our contemporary tastes. Valerie met up with us in the parking lot. She showed us where to park & how to use some of the pieces of the property. Like the adjustable thermostat though 68 was perfect for us, the espresso machine & jazz music in the background. It was so extremely comfortable & cozy. A one bedroom suite like this in Pacific Heights in San Francisco can easily go for 700 bucks. We didn't spend anything near that. My wife didn't want me to write a review about this hidden gem but it was bc the owners encouraged us to write one on Yelp so that you all can experience this exquisite yet modern hotel suite yourself. My wife loved those heated floors in the bathroom. Omgosh!!! The only small negative she mentioned was the mattress wasn't hard enough as she likes that to be extremely firm. Oh well maybe that's a possibility for the next time as the owners do want to improve! One afterthought. We needed help to lock the doors after leaving the suite that we had to ask the gal in the reception area to show us that. There was no one there at first but I saw a purse out on top of the desk that I guessed she was in the ladies room. I guessed right! Also they do offer bike rentals so if you need them just let them know ahead of time so they can make it available for you. This hotel is within walking distance of many eateries & shops that we just need to return soon! Such a gorgeous memorable place...

Recently stayed over Super Bowl weekend. This was our first time staying at Sonoma Bungalows and it was fantastic! Our bungalow was large, welcoming, clean and well appointed. The bathroom was clean and comfortable, it even had heated floors! The kitchen had everything we needed with a Nespresso machine! (Best one cup coffees maker on the market)! Great location right next to the Square with all the restaurants, shops and wineries, but still secluded and quiet. The staff were friendly, available and always helpful. Overall, it was a great experience and we've already booked our room for next year! If you're going to Sonoma I highly recommend Sonoma Bungalows!

My family had an incredible stay when we were visiting for my elopement in Napa. The Bungalows are well-equipped with full kitchens, comfortable beds, and so many thoughtful details (heated floors, washer & dryer (2 br's), extra toiletries, and welcome bottles of wine to name a few). The property is intimate, and I would definitely recommend it for couples and small groups. I saw another review from someone who also stayed during their wedding and tried to host a wedding event before getting caught by the owners. This person claimed they didn't know non-hotel guests weren't allowed, which is ridiculous. The hotel's policy is clearly stated in multiple places on the website and reiterated in confirmation emails. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The location is great; tons of stuff within walking distance! We had the most wonderful trip, and we can't wait to come back and visit for our anniversary in the future!

I measured the length of the pool in Google satellite view and it's about 20 yards so you can get some decent laps in. There are seating areas in and near the lobby; my team had a spot to play board games in the hallway one night. We had a meeting room right off the bar for a small 3-day conference. We had some natural light coming through frosted windows but no direct. There was another room in a separate building with natural light that looked really great, but ours was fine too. From the get go, the manager and workers were all so friendly and helpful. There were initially some issues with dynamic pricing, but they were able to correct things on the back end, which was much appreciated. The main building and breakfast area are both very warm and inviting. The couches and seats are comfortable. There are games and books in the cabinet areas too. The chef provides a tasty breakfast each day, with the menu slightly changing. There is coffee, tea, and hot/cool water available all day. It can get a little crowded at breakfast, so if you are in a large group, go either very early or very late. The afternoon happy hour is pretty relaxed with some offerings of cheese, crackers, and wine. Be sure to ask for gluten-free options, as they have them available. They also prepared nice chocolates for my parents (anniversary) and a cookie for my nephew (birthday), which was a lovely touch. The rooms are fine, some are a little darker and/more dated, but that didn't bother us. The one thing that I would've done differently, is to bring an eye mask and ear plugs. Depending on where your room is located, you could be facing the main street. The doors in certain buildings would slam pretty loudly, so if you had neighbors returning late at night, you would definitely hear them. I am a little fussy with beds, and I found the Vitners King (seemed more like a Cali King?) bed to be a little firm and transferred movement easily. We would consider splurging for the updated rooms next time. Bonus that they have cruiser bikes to borrow. It was very nice to go for a quick ride one of the mornings. The location is fantastic, it's within walking distance to downtown. There are so many great restaurants to visit. In addition, wineries and parks are also a close drive away. Overall a great place to stay and we really enjoyed our visit, thank you!

How about when you first drive up the winding drive, and glimpse the first take of the stunning main building. I arrived at night, so all the ambience from the lighting, the moon, the glimmer off the fountain in the middle of the courtyard. Immediately was struck. Then I walked in to check in at the front desk - and I couldn't have been more welcoming. I had just made the marathon drive from Pasadena, CA, and was just tired, hungry and looking to get to the room and get to dinner. But the warm faces and kind words instantly washed the road away from me (and to be honest, the perfectly chilled glass of local champagne certainly helped that too!). They ensured everything was right with the room and with the stay and so I headed out to pick up the puppy from the car and settle up to the room. And then... there is the story of the puppy. Out of all the hotels and resorts I've stayed in - nothing NOTHING compares to the dog friendly (while still wholly human centric) service at this Fairmont. They made me feel like Chance was as much a guest there as I was. And all that isn't even to mention the concierge, the perfect cocktails from the bartender, the beautiful winding paths that guide you through the campus, the world class spa and massages (note - make SURE you check out the quiet room, nothing like it I've ever seen), the OUTSTANDING breakfast under the trees next to the pool... I just don't have time to list it all here. But the cherry on top - really is the people. They just... they are the magic that infuses everything in the building, everything in the resort, everything in the spa. They were there for me at every turn and at every moment, for every need. The experience was basically just access to a pool area. There weren't many amenities, activities, or anything that made it feel like a luxury resort day. The setting itself also wasn't particularly impressive, with parts of the pool area feeling like they were right next to utility equipment rather than a relaxing spa environment. I'm a Fairmont member and have stayed at several Fairmont properties, including Banff and Hawaii, so I came in with high expectations. Unfortunately, this experience didn't come close to the level of service or value I've come to expect from the brand. If you're in your 30s looking for a fun, relaxing day trip from San Francisco, I'd skip this. It's not about the cost alone. I don't mind paying for quality, but this just didn't deliver enough to justify the price. A disappointing experience and a missed opportunity for what could have been a great destination.
