Highly recommended. The newly updated (and renamed) McClelland House is magnificently appointed and the staff are absolutely delightful. We were well cared for during our visit.

Top of the line! Hands down an awesome place to stay.

My wife and I wanted to get away for our 15 year anniversary and just have relaxation, sip wine, wake up late...no kids (we have three) and pause the work emails. The McClelland-Priest BnB was a perfect choice! I felt like a hero because she really wanted to stay in a Victorian. Business was a little slower during the week so we felt like the entire house was ours for a couple days. There are so many places to choose from and this one is a best-kept-secret. Did I mention their is an attached bathroom with a jacuzzi tub/shower? Major plus ! Side note: It would be perfect for a large group of friends to rent out the whole place! Group getaways would be fun too! A leisurely five minute walk from the main downtown Napa Area. This is a winner!

    The Roma bed. Beautiful!

The Bed & Breakfast is beautiful! My boyfriend is not into the Victorian style, but I promised him a jacuzzi bath for two and this place had it! I love the antiques in this home so my eyes were delightfully pleased. We arrived and there were packets for the guest who would be staying that evening. I thought it was sweet. Inside was a free tasting coupon for two to V. Sattui (loved it!) as well as for Uncorked. Same owners of McClelland. *a note, keys, maps, other coupons, very nice little greeting. To open the door you have to turn the key AND the door knob at the same time. I looked a bit like a fool trying to get this open, so there's a small tip for you :D Our room (The Roma) was lovely. Afterwards we walked down the street to Uncorked and enjoyed free tastings with Celeste & her husband. Very nice couple. Loved the bed, super comfy; there was an iron in the wardrobe. Shampoo and Conditioner. Bring lotion and do not put bubbles in the jacuzzi! haha 5 star service. 5 star location. 4 stars on yelp because I was really looking forward to the breakfast. two courses, very yummy! but everything was sweet. It was too much sugar for me in the morning. We had a wonderful banana, strawberry pudding with whipped cream sprinkled with coconut and French toast. I kept wishing that some bacon would be delivered to my plate... Honestly, if I had bacon. FIVE STARS! Highly recommend this place! Would totally go back again even if I have to bring my own bacon!

    Firenze suite

Quiet neighborhood. This is a beautiful home with plenty of character. Our room the Firenze suite was spacious and had a private deck off the back that was quite large. The bathroom was large with a jetted tub. Close to downtown, literally 2 blocks from main street and all the activities. Breakfast was good but repetitive. Each morning started with coffee, tea, juice and small pastries while you waited for breakfast. First course was chopped fresh fruit with whipped cream, yogurt, and granola; it was good and light. The first AND third mornings we were there we were served a hashbrown casserole with eggs and cheese and a slice of canadian bacon one day, cooked sliced Kielbasa the last day. The second morning we were served the fresh fruit again and a french toast casserole with almonds and the canadian bacon slice. Both breakfasts were good. From a bed and breakfast I do expect a little more variety in what they serve for breakfast as it is part of the experience. I have stayed at other B&B's several times and have never had the same breakfast, AND the breakfast was individually made for each guest. I understand that takes a little more time, yet it adds to the character of your stay. Celeste is very friendly and kind as others have said. This was a nice place to stay and I would Highly recommend it to others.

The location is ideal for those who want to be in the heart of downtown Napa. You're less than one mile from several touristy Napa Locations like Oxbow Market, Napa Valley Distillery, great restaurants and the Wine Train. When I first glimpsed McClelland-Priest Bed and Breakfast I instantly fell in love with the veranda. The place is elegant and homey all at the same time. The hosts made you feel like a family friend in their welcome package. Even if the host is not available to greet you on arrival, they make sure you have what you need to get situated. The welcome packet contained maps to vineyards, 2 for 1 tasting coupons, Napa Valley magazine containing a variety of activities. We stayed in the Carducci Suite. It was very roomy that included a private bath with separate entrance to the veranda. (Bliss) Breakfast is served every morning at 9:00 AM by the owner Celeste. She is very friendly and gave us great ideas on how to spend our day in Napa. The breakfast overall was good though sometimes some items were not hot. It was the perfect amount of food. This is the place to stay if you want to be close to the downtown action.

It was more than a dream, such a wonderful little B&B. The modern look and design felt as if we were standing right in a pottery barn catalog. We stayed in the Laurel cottage, which I highly HIGHLY recommend! It's still attached to another cottage but was extremely secluded as the property was a little further out away from the main house and main patio area. We even had our own little garden to the side with a table & chairs! The cottage itself was absolutely wonderful. Extremely spacious with a cal king bed, which by the way, was too die for. The sheets were amazingly comfortable and made it tremendously hard to get out of bed in the mornings, but a dream to come back to after a long day of shenanigans. The bathroom floor, get this, has heated floors! The bathtub was incredibly spacious, big enough to fit two people. The fireplace was also a great addition and made our stay wonderfully cozy. Breakfast is served at 8:30 and 9:15! You have to tell them which time you prefer. All food is gluten free and they are very accommodating, always asking if you have any food allergies, etc. The breakfast was delicious and they always have these wonderful treats at the tea/coffee station in the main house. The staff were incredibly nice and welcoming! I highly recommend this place for any couple looking for a sweet romantic getaway. The location is great as it's only about half a mile from downtown, close to a bunch of food eats & wine bars! Make sure to book early as there are only limited rooms/cottages.

Having stayed at the Inn on Randolph in the past, it is painfully obvious that the property is…read moreeither under new management or has declined so drastically that it no longer resembles the high‑quality inn it once was. What used to feel refined, attentive, and culinary‑driven has now slipped into a level of service and upkeep that can only be described as substandard. While our room appeared tidy at first glance, that impression quickly faded. Upon pulling back the comforter, we found two hairs on top of the bed linens, an immediate sign that the room had not been prepared with the level of care expected from a boutique inn charging $400 per night. Cleanliness should be pristine -- not "mostly fine." The "private" outdoor sitting area attached to our room was equally disappointing. It had a neglected, unkempt appearance, and the outdoor furniture cushions were soiled and covered with debris. This is the kind of basic detail that should be addressed before any guest arrives, not something guests should have to discover and tolerate. The most glaring decline was the breakfast experience. During a previous stay, the Inn offered a culinary‑level breakfast that justified the premium price. This time, breakfast consisted of: A bowl of granola bars for all guests A self‑serve Keurig producing substandard coffee A small bowl of bananas and apples A few bottles of water This is not breakfast. It is a convenience‑store assortment placed on a counter. While Saturday and Sunday offered a slightly better selection, it still amounted to four pastries cut in half for the entire inn -- hardly the elevated, chef‑driven experience the property advertises. Adding to the disappointment, there was no consistent on‑site staff presence. Instead, guests were provided a phone number to call "if you need anything," which is not acceptable for a property positioning itself as a luxury inn. Hospitality is not remote customer service. I understand that COVID impacted the hospitality industry, but it is now being used as a blanket excuse to justify reduced amenities, neglected upkeep, and diminished service standards. At $400 per night, guests deserve far more than tidy‑but‑not‑clean rooms, neglected outdoor spaces, and a breakfast that feels like an afterthought. To be fair, the inn does offer off‑street parking, and the center courtyard is a pleasant space for enjoying time outdoors with friends. These are positives -- but they do not come close to compensating for the overall decline in quality. All in all, we would not stay here again. The value proposition simply does not align with the price, the service, or the declining standards. The Inn on Randolph no longer delivers the experience it once did, and guests deserve better.
