Fabulous!! So easy to park and have van transport us to the boat ramp at Anini Beach for our water adventure. Our Captain and his assistant, Alexi, were just great. They shared so much good and interesting information. We went into some great lava tube/sea caves and so enjoyed our time!!! We booked this in April 2019 when we were already on the island and they were quick to reply and very accommodating. I am Celiac so they were able to accommodate the dietary restrictions with enough advance notice without issue for the lunch portion of the trip. I had higher hopes for the snorkeling portion but honestly the rest of the trip was so great I'm not complaining. We parked the boat by a few other tours so it was diluted with people instead of sea life. That's ok; the water was nice and it felt good to splash around in an area we'd otherwise not be able to explore if the boat hadn't taken us there. I'd say book a tour like this more for the scenic views of the NaPali coast and less for the snorkeling. The boat was smooth, not over crowded, comfortable to relax on while we headed out and back. I didn't use the bathroom but there was one on board if needed. This was the only tour we did on our trip in 2019 and it didn't disappoint! It's not cheap but especially when we went that whole section of the island was still closed so it was really nice to see it as a whole and soak up the sun and those incredible mountains! Definitely a recommended experience to really see the NaPali coast - amazing. read more

We were reluctant to go on a boat tour because we get motion sickness however I'm so glad we went with Sea breeze. We booked a morning tour with sea breeze Napali from Anini. Spent more time seeing Napali because we started on the north shore. It is family run and extremely well organized. None of us got sick and the whole family thought it was the highlight of our 2 week trip. We may have gotten lucky because the ride was really smooth- no one got sick and it was a gorgeous day. We saw dolphins, turtles and the snorkeling was great- amazing visibility, tons of fish and they had snorkels , fins, and noodles ready to go. Sandwiches were a step up from what you'd usually get and loved that they had sliced pineapple too. The napali coast is truly beautiful. This was the highlight of our 2 week trip. So glad we booked with Sea Breeze as they are a local family, watch the weather to make sure it's safe and are extremely well organized. read more

This is an amazing tour from start to finish. We have booked this tour with Captain Bob and Janet more than 6 times, and each tour has been a wonderful experience. Communication with Janet about the tour, weather and other issues has always been prompt, very courteous and informative. Captain Bob and his crew are experienced, safety conscious and very knowledgeable about the Napali Coast, valleys and sea caves and have a keen eye for the abundant sea life you might happen to see. If the ocean is calm enough you may get to enjoy going into a sea cave! The tour includes a stop for snorkeling with beautiful coral, turtles and amazing colored fish, followed by lunch on the boat of sandwiches, chips, drinks and fresh fruit. Snorkeling equipment is provided if you need it, or you can just grab a noodle and head overboard. Book the morning trip if you can as the sea will be a little calmer on the return. Great communication from Janet prior to trip. She offered alternative dates due to weather and was realistic about snorkeling not happening due to swell. As it turned out weather was great and we had a perfect day. Our boat was full but everyone was very nice and we didn't feel like the tour was overbooked. We saw dolphins multiple times, turtles, and a good variety of fish on our snorkeling stop. The tour of the coast was incredible scenery with multiple waterfalls, caves, isolated beaches, and other incredible views. Alexis and Pepe were great on the boat- very knowledgeable and genuinely friendly, Pepe backed us into a few caves and his steering was impressive. The boat itself felt very well maintained, safe, and clean. We were with our 12 year old -our group didn't have any other kids, mostly a variety of couples/adult families. We had a great time on the Napali Sea Breeze tour! A huge advantage is that it leaves from the north side of the island so the trip to the Na Pali coast is very short. Sights of the coast are incredible and the captain/crew did a great job stopping so that we could see them while explaining the coastline to us and its history. We particularly enjoyed going into some of the caves and seeing them from a unique perspective. After the coast, the captain stops at a snorkeling spot where there were a ton of fish and turtles. So happy we chose Napali Seabreeze Tours for our cruise along the Napali Coast from the North side of Kauai. The crew was phenomenal! We'll start with Ben who picked us up and shuttled us to Anini Beach where we boarded our boat, he was such a kind, friendly person and loved his perspective on island life. He was really helpful throughout the trip. Spencer, the captain, was confident and provided us with details and information about the coastline and while the surf was a bit challenged he was able to navigate us expertly for close up views of several caves. Jilly was also wonderful and very helpful as well, we really enjoyed chit chatting with her during the boat ride...she's the kinda person you'd love to have as a friend the minute you meet her (not a stalker...really!) Janet was communicative and patient...she kept an eye on the weather (we had high wind/surf) and she called me to change our date for safety reasons. Captain Bob was there to send us off and receive us after the trip. His boat holds roughly 16 people so it's super comfortable and any one of the crew was available to help or answer questions. I found the Napali Seabreeze Tour through my hotel and explored its options. I followed Napali Seabreeze Tour's suggestion to consult their agents regarding health concerns before booking and called them. Unfortunately, I encountered a profoundly disappointing experience of disability bias with one of their agents because my mother has high-functioning Level 1 cerebral palsy (CP). When I researched the boat, every aspect I investigated aligned with my mother's capabilities, including boarding via the water. Her active, independent lifestyle, which includes gardening and long walks, remains consistent with Level 1 CP. She also LOVES boating. Her passion for boating, nurtured by spending much of her childhood summers on my grandfather's speed boat, is a testament to her particular competence in and around boats. Thus, I had little concerns about my mom on this type of boat, but I did have concerns about the rough seas. My main concern for the call was the turbulent seas coupled with the high seating on the boat, which could pose challenges for any passenger in choppy waters. The agent swiftly assumed my mother's abilities despite my efforts to highlight her extensive experience on boats. To steer her focus back to the turbulent seas, I light-heartedly asked if the conditions were so severe that we'd need to place my mom between my dad and me for stability, making me wonder why the boat would even operate in such conditions. Though the joke grabbed her attention, it inadvertently reinforced her existing beliefs, and she didn't realize I was being sarcastic. Overall, the conversations should have centered on sea conditions and the impact on passengers' seating rather than biased assumptions. The agent assumed my mom couldn't hold on due to her CP-related beliefs, citing an incident involving a child with CP getting seriously hurt on a tour. While I empathize with that situation, it's crucial to understand cerebral palsy varies in severity. Assuming my mom's abilities match that child's is flawed and against the ADA. Not all CP passengers might manage such a tour, but some likely could without issue. It felt like the moment this agent heard "CP," her preconceived notions took precedence, resulting in an immediate and discriminatory "no" response. I always advocate for disability inclusivity through understanding and asking questions rather than assumptions. So, I proposed to the woman a better approach to handling disability inquiries. I suggested providing a comprehensive tour explanation detailing challenges and risks. Passengers would then engage in a meaningful discussion to assess their own capabilities. A refund policy could be implemented if a Captain remains uncomfortable after meeting passengers on the tour date. Regrettably, the woman seemed uninterested in rectifying biased practices, as she abruptly concluded the conversation with a rude "Thank you for calling" before being **HUNG UP** on. I could not believe how disrespectful this company's agent was. ***Unfortunately, after the call, I saw another review on disability bias that mirrored my experience, indicating this company may have a pattern of biased practices. But the boat ride, the narration, and expert piloting into (and out of!) sea lava tubes and waterfalls was absolutely fabulous. We were staying at a rental on Anini Road and we passed the Sea Breeze parked at Captain Bob's on our first day. I recognized the ship's name from the options we were considering. I called and spoke with Janet on a Monday and booked us an afternoon Thursday trip. She answered my many questions (they have a bathroom on board - which my son used, they include a deli sandwich lunch, and snorkeling equipment). I'm so glad we chose to go with them. Captain Pepe and First Mate Noah were stellar. We were a party of five, my husband and I, our two kids (ages 8 and 10), and my father-in-law, who had been snorkeling just once before. There were a total of 16 passengers on the trip and there was room for everyone, not crowded at all. I'd been looking at photos of the caves off the Na Pali coast for years, and now we've actually been inside two of them! Going into the caves made my 8-year-old quite nervous, but Captain Pepe was in full control of the boat. The ride wasn't too rocky, though it being mid-October it wasn't super calm either. I'd taken some Bonine, as had my husband, and we had zero sea sickness. My 10-year-old felt a bit queasy on the way out but she rode at the front of the boat on the return trip and felt fine, and she loved being at the front of the boat. Due to water conditions we didn't snorkel at the original destination and Captain Pepe took us to snorkel at Tunnels. It was amazing to jump off the boat and use the (really good) snorkel gear to see the coral and fish. They also have swim noodles for anyone to float on while snorkeling. The sun was shining through the water onto the reef and the landscape is just breathtaking. We had planned to go to Tunnels but you can't access it now due to the roadwork, so it was great to stop there on the Sea Breeze. Captain Pepe also spotted a manta ray, turtles, and then on the way back to Anini, spinner dolphins. He and Noah gave clear instructions and information about what we saw from the boat, history and current day points of interest. After about 4 hours, we were back where we'd started. Captain Bob met the boat at Anini and was great to chat with. Needless to say, the whole family had a very memorable blast, we saw things we'd never seen before, and we will be talking about this for years to come. Fantastic cruise! Everything we hoped for - even better than we expected. The captain was very welcoming and helpful to everyone, especially to my father in law, who needed a little extra assistance. The crew (Pepe and Bret?) were friendly and knowledgeable. They went out of their way to show us spinner dolphins (three different pods throughout the morning) and a turtle on the way back. We went into a couple sea caves - awesome. We anchored for a bit to snorkel and the crew was again helpful in getting everyone outfitted, defogging their masks, and making sure everyone was comfortable in the water. After, there was a shower to rinse off on deck. Lunch was delicious. Quality subs - tuna, pastrami, or turkey with tomato, lettuce, avocado. Chips, sodas, water, and fresh fruit. The ride back was pretty bumpy but fun and fast. There were 16 people on our boat and plenty of room. I never had to rub elbows with a stranger. Tips: bring cash for a tip. $10-20 a head. If you're a vegetarian, bring a sandwich as there are no veggie options. Pack lightly. For the early morning cruise, we brought several layers for everyone, but weren't cold and didn't need any jacket or pants. However, a light sweater might be good just in case. They provide some towels. We brought our own but didn't need them. Wear your bathing suit! There's not really a good place to change. Don't wear pants longer than capris - you must walk in the water to board the boat. Overall, well worth the $$$. read more

This is another example of the dishonesty that permeates this business. If other yelp readers out there look at my other Yelp reviews, they will see that the LARGE majority of my reviews are positive. In fact, I think this review may possibly be the only one that is not positive. This is because I am a customer who is very easy to make happy. The fact that this is ONE of the only (if not THE only) reviews which I have reviewed negatively should communicate to others out there that I am not someone who is merely complaining for the sake of it; this was a very real issue. Also, I looked through others reviews of this company and there are other people who have had the very same problem my husband and I encountered. I am not saying that charging a card due to not being able to fill seats is a bad thing (it's a business, and businesses need to make money) what I am saying is if this is something which is common practice, it NEEDS to be added to the cancellation policy.
