It is hard to believe the rude and offensive service of this company. It is even harder to understand given that the owner came to our home. He called just before his appointment time to ask for a later appointment. We said this was fine. Instead he arrived between the appointment times with no notice. Then, he took great offense at something while we were showing him which furniture needed to be moved, eventually storming out of our home. We remain dumbfounded. Was it too much to ask a moving and storage company to move and store our possessions until our new place is ready and then to deliver them to us? This leaves us incredulous. All I can say is, horrible. I hired Naples Moving and Storage 2 weeks ago to move a small amount of items from my personal warehouse in Ft.Myers to their storage facility in Naples. My experience with their staff and owner was, well, less than pleasant. Unfortunately I did not do my homework and I went with Naples Moving and Storage because they were the 1st company I called. To make a long story short... I spoke with three different people over the course of a week and a half: Bill, Bob and Henrietta. I'm not sure how their office is run but it is extremely inefficient. Each time I called I spoke with a different person who did not have notes or any information from my previous calls. I had to repeat the same information to each person numerous times. I was given a quote by voicemail and when I called back to confirm the next person had a price that was more than double the original. They did agree to go with the hourly price I was quoted. We schedule a date and time for the move. The next day Bob called and changed it to 2 days later. I re-confirmed the move for Wednesday at 2pm. Henrietta called Tuesday at 4pm (day before move) and said they had to change the arrival time to 12 noon. I was working all day, as most of us do during the week so I had a friend go to my warehouse to meet them. (They do not move on the weekends) Day of move, I called at 8am to confirm the change in arrival time... 5 phone calls and 3 voicemails later I had not heard from them on moving day. My friend was waiting for an hour and a half for someone to arrive and no one showed. I finally reached Naples Moving and Storage just before 2 and was told someone would be there between 2:30-3:30pm. The lack of professionalism and common courtesy was appalling. Upon their arrival they said that there was more "stuff" than they were originally told, however, if Bob, Bill and Henrietta communicated and took notes in some fashion they would have known exactly what to expect. Not to mention they explained they charge by the hour so the amount of "stuff" is irrelevant it's simply a matter of time. To top it off there was no customer service or trying to make the problems right. They made me feel like I was a total inconvenience to them. At the end of all of this they called me and asked where the check was. I was never informed that I needed to pay via check or cash upon their arrival. They do not take credit cards so I had to drive over after hours and leave a check in the mailbox. I have never been treated so poorly from a "professionals" I don't know how these people stay in business. Very disappointed in the unprofessional, rude, and unorganized treatment. read more

A few months ago I moved from Lemont Illinois to Naples Florida and used Naples Moving and Storage. I worked with Henriette Short, owner, who was very knowledgeable and accomodating. She helped me all thru the move with ideas and suggestions to make my move as easy as a move can possible be. Herman, the Driver, really was more than a Driver, he went out of his way to make everything work smoothly and efficiently. Vey puctual and hard working. They packed me up in Illinois and when they arrived in Naples unpacked very carefully. No damage was done, even moved my Baby Grand piano. Would highly recommend them for any move you might have.Would defintely use them again if I needed a mover. read more

The guys who did the actual moving and storage, Herman and Oscar, were great. 5 stars for them. But the owners of the company were incredibly rude. Minus 3 stars. After everything was moved back in but boxes were not yet unpacked, I signed to say I'd received everything. Big mistake. When I finished unpacking I was missing about $250 of kitchen stuff, biggish things like a Mr. Coffee, a large ceramic coated skillet, a large Teflon coated pan, that were noticeably not there. When I reported that I thought a box was missing, Henrietta said it was not possible and implied I was dishonest. When I submitted an itemized list to her, I got an even ruder email. I realize I have no claim because I signed the form saying everything was received but want to warn others not to sign until every box is unpacked and to say that I'm sure you can find other moving companies with more courteous owners. read more

These guys are great. I have worked with several moving companies over the years and Bob was the best person I have worked with. He was honest and told me what I could expect, and didn't make any false promises. They moved our whole office within town and it went perfectly. I've got some tips for you when working with a moving company. First - give accurate information on what you need moved. Don't just tell them you have a dresser and 2 beds to move. Give accurate dimensions and weights. (I learned this the hard way a couple of times with other moving companies). If you don't know- don't call any moving company because your quote won't be done correctly) get dimensions at least! 2- any moving company is going to give you an estimated time for pick up. Plan ahead and know that you aren't the only person rushing to move out of your apartment or storage unit on the 1st of the month. You are going to have at least a 2-4hr window if you can even book that at the end or beginning of the month. These guys aren't the lowest price in town, but they aren't the most expensive. You get what you pay for. I was happy with what they did for me and my company, and I think for a family run business, I'd much rather give my business to them- they will do what they can to accommodate your needs and won't BS you. Will definitely be using them for any storage or moving needs I have in the future. read more

People keep telling me to write this review even though this occurred a couple of years ago. I hired Bob to move my furniture out into his storage facility while my floor was being replaced. He came to me recommended by A friend. His crew came and loaded up my stuff and off they went. A couple weeks later it was time to move it back. After uncovering my furniture I found 4 pieces damaged beyond repair. Bob came over and tried to tell me they were damaged when they were picked up. However the paperwork showed they were fine. He told me I should have bought the insurance. Then he demanded the second half payment for moving and being that my feathers were a little ruffled I told him not until he made good on the damage. He called me every name in the book and swore at me several times. Ultimately after he agreed to make everything right and gave me his word, I relented and paid him. After several phone calls I received a check for under $200 (the per pound payment required by state law) for the repair of several thousands of dollars of damage. Again, he told me I declined the insurance and it was my fault; although he admitted he knew that there was a big shift in the truck from incorrect loading and which of his people were probably responsible. This man was not honorable we me, and his word was worthless. Word to the wise...just because someone is referred to you does not commit them to high standards. ALWAYS BUY THE INSURANCE! read more

I called the company today and decided not to use them after the receptionist was extremely rude. When I called back and asked to talk to customer service the receptionist informed me that she was the OWNER! Wow, not a great way to run your business. I have never wrote a negative review on any company before, but I felt like this lady was so extremely rude (even raising her voice at me at one time) that it is necessary to review their customer service. I am surprised to see any negative reviews because Naples Moving and Storage has done nothing but accommodate and assist me in any way they can! I work for a construction company and our Client asked us to remove ALL items from their home and store them elsewhere while the remodel was being done. This was a pretty large house, 3 stories, and over 3000SF. I called Naples Moving and storage and they came out the next day to give us a quote for not only packing and moving the items, but storing them as well. Everything went perfectly. We hired them to start and the men they sent were very professional and pleasant! They packed everything very carefully and even marked each box so there would be no confusion in the future. They even moved a baby grand piano worth over $20,000 down 3 flights of stairs, and again- perfect. No issues at all. The remodel ended up taking longer than we expected, so we kept having to re-schedule the completion (move-in) date. Both Henriette and Bob were understanding and worked with me without any issues or giving me a hard time. Then the topper- this is why I decided to write a review about this company. We had the final move-in date scheduled for 12/23/15. On 12/22/15, my Supervisor asked me to call and them and see if we could postpone the move to 12/30/15 due to a delay on the project. Bill informed me that the entire company was closed from 12/24/15 - 1/4/15 AND that they were completely booked until 1/15/15. I was at a loss for words. I had a Homeowner that expected to be moved in by the first of the year, and the moving company wasnt available to help until 1/15! I expressed my concerns to Bill and he said let me call the Owners and see what their opinion on this is. He called me back within 5 minutes and he was excited to let me know that the Owners decided to OPEN their business on the 30th and have 4 men complete the move-in for our Homeowner on the desired date! I was soooo grateful that they did this!! I have never heard of a company actually interrupting their winter vacation to accommodate a Customer! Today is 12/30 and my Clients are almost 100% moved in!!! Thank you!! I will DEFINITELY be using Naples Moving & Storage in the future! they went above and beyond for my Client and that is not very common these days. read more
