I had been searching for replacements, but couldn't find any I liked as well as what I already had. So, I started a search for reupholstery, and that lead me to SBS Leather Repair. What a find! A few text messages where I shared photos of the damaged chairs, then a few phone conversations, I had a good sense about Sam, the gentleman I had spoken with, and we settled on the three bar stools being finished with all the same detail and a nice Italian leather, and he quoted a very fair price. Finish, timing, cost, all as promised. The work was incredibly detailed, I was so happy, that I had them repair my living room natuzzi red leather chair, where over the years, the arms had cracked and where badly stained. It too, was another success. I wish they weren't so far from another home, where they could do their magic. What craftsmanship, and what honest, humble skilled workers. I arranged summer work at Benz Connection of Naples for my collector car to be done May through October, 2024, with promise directly by owner(?) /manager, Brian Snowden, to store car indoors, not to expose to summer climate. I was told car was ready in November but it was not. Found car outside with open hood and trunk, some disassembly including rear wheels off. I was ready later in December. Found deeper evidence in my shop at home afterward, that it had been outdoor during Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Insurance claim for damages was filed. Initial claim paid and remains open by Florida law for 5 years for adjustments. My main point is owner and manager lied to me and made promises Benz Connection of Naples didn't fulfill. They had no remorse or concern regarding Snowden's initially admitted delinquency causing damage. There was no offer to remedy, just denial. I had no problem since I drove in without an appointment. As I was sitting in the waiting room, I noticed how nice and professional they handled their customers. Well after about an hour the nice lady working the front called my name and apologized for me having to wait an hour. That the tech working on my tire could not find a leak !!-- that the whole problem was found when he put the valve stem cap back on and that is when he heard air coming out !! I had a bad valve stem cap !!! She apologized again and said "no charge" !!! I gave her some "cross Pennie's" I made for her young family. She just had another baby girl about a year ago. I traveled up to NE and a week later my battery died ,when AAA came the battery posts came right off and he told me that's what killed your battery and had to purchase another. On November 5 2024 I visited European Auto Repair to investigate their honesty and Pricing. I have…read moremaintained my 2002 Boxster as my family business is car repair. I'm from out of state and my equipment was left behind so if I need someone else to do repairs that would be too cumbersome I want a place I could trust in the future. The alternator job was just a test, nothing wrong with my alternator. So you know the vehicle was not with me at that time. The first question I ask could they replace an alternator in my vehicle with the new one I purchased? his responded that Florida laws state that it is illegal for any service shop to perform repairs all items must be purchased exclusively by the shop and no work can be repaired with outside items. Not true, First lie. Check the status if you don't believe me. A shop can turn down work but it's not illegal. Second question, if the item was purchased through them how long would it take to install? His response is 4.5 hrs. So you know, to facilitate access to the alternator there is a face plate that must be removed. I told him I removed the face plate, which took all of 7 min. The actual job of replacing an alternator on a Boxster is easier than changing spark plugs. It is one of the simplest repairs to perform. It takes no more than 35 minutes to remove, It is only held in place by two bolts and 2 wires in the back. If one of the bolts is stuck it requires several light blows with a hammer to loosen which would add 5 minutes. Reinstall, and repeat the process in reverse. If this job was undertaken by the slowest mechanic in all of Naples with no Porsche knowledge they could do it in 2 hr and that is being extremely generous with the time allotment. So if you choose to use this repair shop you have been duly warned. Such a shame, I truly wanted to say good things and use the shop for the future, especially after reading other reviews. I don't know, maybe they do good work but you are paying an exorbitant amount. The search continues. Now to check with other shops hoping to have better luck. labor cost should not exceed 2 hrs not 4.5 hrs. This is a simple job. price for labor should be 220 to 250 ,no more.
