Absolutely the worst service ever. Bought our Hyundai from here paid for the extended warranty- drivers window leaks when it rains too it in twice still not fixed. The gas filler door gets stuck and won't open had to pry it open. They have had the car for three days now supposedly checking to see if it is covered under the extended warranty. Have called them for two days and no on will answer the phone or call back. Extended warranty includes free oil changes and car wash and vacuum, first oil change fine after that we have waited 6 hours for an oi change and no wash/vacuum. read more

I own a 2025 Kia Telluride that I bought from here in April by end of May the vehicle engine has shut off 5 times while I'm driving. The first week I had it the vehicle shook at speeds 55-65 so took it tires balanced. Second week: An error of the window being down and child locks disabled. They just had my car for 16 days couldn't figure out engine shut off issue and replaced something with my window and picked it today and the window and car lock error is STILL on my car. Took it back to show them and said uhh should be fast fix when you bring it next time. NOTHING ESLE I am sorry we messed up sorry for this inconvienece. NOTHINGGGG. Drove an hour to pick it up, AND THEY LOST THE ONE KEY FOB. DONT EVER BUY A CAR WITHOUT TWO. We waited over a week for them to take action! Call after call, the manager Brandon and the service director NEVER CALLED BACK OR APOLOGIZED. When asked to make it right they didn't have any money in the deal to make it right. Shoo someplace else. This dealership should lose its franchise because it's ran so poorly. Buy here for no commitment to service and zero communication or a call back. So disorganized. I should've pulled the deal and made them give back our cash- but we did not expect this obviously and we had to have a 5th vehicle immediately. Recently encountered a 3% credit card surcharge now charged by Napleton's Toyota in recent months. This is for dealer service that routinely has very high markup margins. Incomprehensible to me as a business practice. It will discourage spending at the dealer and alienate customers needlessly in my view. They could have gone with a 3% discount for cash if they wanted to go down this dubious path. Paying by credit card gives important customer protections. These are not available with debit cards or cash. Long-time customer. Doubtful that I will return. read more

Kia: Took car for ABS Light warning Friday but they were full so left car ca for 7:30am for Sat. appointment. never touched my car said too busy with cars that came in. Went Monday morning Lawerece did not seem to know which FOB was mine and they never even tried. Anyhow, Monday said they do it and send me email review, instead got text saying my ABS light was on. The. Said maybe Tuesday the could diagnose why. Nothing Tuesday, Wednesday contacted me said a sensor was off on a tire. Their quote to fix $435 on top of $200 Diagnostic fee. I said no thanks Farm & Fleet says they will do it for less than $100. unfortunately, now my power steering emergency light came on same day I picked up car. After inquiring about a specific vehicle. The dealer reached out to schedule a test drive. Since my schedule is busy like most people, I took off work and my wife and I along with our two year old drove 62 miles to this dealer. Upon arrival we checked in and was given an available salesman. He had zero clue what we were interested in. After giving him all the details he spent the next 40 minutes trying to find the car on the lot. During this time my family and I sat at his desk listening to two young sales associates at the desk next to us talk without consideration of the professional environment and cursing openly. After the 40 minutes we got up to head home, found our salesman joking around with the guys in a glass office. We said we weren't waiting any longer for them to find the car that they knew we were coming to drive. He just said sorry and that he drove the whole lot. We left. 30 minutes into our hour drive home, he sent a text saying he found the car and if we weren't to far we could come back . We did not. So after taking off work and driving a total of 2 hours, plus sitting for shy of 45 minutes why he looked for the vehicle we inquired about. It was a horrible experience. Not to mention the f-bomb language from the two young salesman. I was really that not once did a manager come out to save the experience, possibly work with us on something else. We never even received a follow up call from a manager apologizing for the inconvenience. This is why im actually doing a review. Is customer service really a thing of the past? I had a horrible experience at the service center last week. The following is a formal complaint that I have submitted to the regional director of Napleton's but have yet to hear back. "I am writing to formally express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the service I received at the Napleton's dealership in Urbana, IL on March 28, 2025. I had an appointment scheduled for 11:20 AM for Friday, March 28, 2025. In the week leading up to this appointment, I made multiple attempts to get clarification regarding my maintenance warranty -- reaching out by phone, text, and email. All of my efforts went unanswered; no one returned my calls, texts, or emails. For reference, I purchased my vehicle brand new from your dealership in November 2024. As a new customer to both the Mitsubishi brand and your location, I expected a much higher standard of service and care. When I arrived for my appointment, I brought my warranty paperwork and inquired about coverage for my oil change. Instead of receiving assistance, I was met with unprofessionalism and rudeness from the service advisor I spoke with (not sure of his name). He was dismissive, condescending, and offered no real support -- suggesting that I simply reset my oil meter to 7,000 miles, blatantly disregarding the factory alert at 3,500 miles and the valid warranty coverage I presented. Thankfully, Kelly Dillman stepped in and was kind, helpful, and patient. She is the sole bright spot in an otherwise unacceptable experience. I agreed to proceed with the oil change even if I had to pay and informed Kelly that I would contact Mitsubishi Corporate while I waited to confirm my warranty coverage. Mitsubishi Corporate verified that my oil change was fully covered under my maintenance warranty, regardless of mileage or timeframe. After Corporate spoke with your staff, the service advisor's dismissive and sarcastic response of, "I'm just doing what my boss tells me to do," was entirely inappropriate and unprofessional. When I left, I discovered the oil meter alert had not been reset. I had to return back inside to have this corrected, which was inconvenient and careless. Unfortunately, the experience did not end there. Concerned about the overall quality of service, I immediately went to a trusted mechanic to verify that the oil change had actually been completed and that the filter and drain plug were secure. Shockingly, they discovered that the skid plate underneath my vehicle had not been reinstalled. I returned to Napleton's Auto Park once again to report this issue. I was met with visible annoyance at my return. The same service advisor did not acknowledge me or offer any assistance. Thankfully, another gentleman (Paul I believe his name is) stepped in to help. Upon checking the service bays, he confirmed that the skid plate had indeed been left off and was still sitting there. While he apologized and offered me a free oil change, the careless service, lack of communication, and dismissive behavior I experienced have left me with zero confidence in your dealership. I declined the free oil change, as after today's experience I have no intention of returning to Napleton's Auto Park. I will gladly drive an hour or more to another Mitsubishi dealer in the future to avoid the blatant lack of professionalism and customer care I experienced. I am sharing this feedback because no customer should be treated this way, and no dealership representing the Mitsubishi brand should conduct business with such carelessness and disregard for their customers. I expect a formal apology and a clear explanation of how you intend to address this situation to ensure it does not happen to other customers in the future." read more

We purchased a car in November and were surprised to find out that they add a protectant on all of the cars they have to offer. We were not allowed to say 'no' to this as it was already added and they said they do that to all of their cars. The cost of this protectant was presented like it was an option, but they would not take it off at all. We should have walked away. After 6 months, we decided we did not like the car and traded it off. We had to get our money back for the extended warranty and we asked about the protectant charge. Again, we were told that they do this to all of the cars plus we went ahead and purchased the car anyway so they will not refund that. We understand that part is on us, but knowing that is their normal practice will keep us from ever coming back. In addition to all of this, we were told the oil changes were lifetime, but when we went to get the first oil change, we were told we had 3 more left. Also, the time to wait to get your oil changed is over 2 hours. Ridiculous! read more

By far, the worst expereince ever. Not one single person there has a clue as to what is going on. Set up an appointment to see a car, drove 45 minutes to get there. No one could find the car, it was in the bodyshop. Multiple people called 4-5 times with differing versions of what was going on, promised calls that didn't happen. The sales kid (brand new) was the only positive. Finally got the call the car was ready to see immediatly drove 45 minutes to get there, test drove it, kid wrote up offer, gave to sales manager. After 45 minutes of waiting for manager, went looking for him. Only to be told the car had been sold! Sold during the 45 minutes we were waiting for our offer to be approved. WTAF!? I would give 0 stars if I could. Lemme get this straight, if you don't want business, then simply don't spam customers to come. I had 2 experiences with this horrible dealer. 1. I was gonna get a tire exchange, I called ahead to compare the price, but the price on site was actually $100 more than the price they quote me online. They would charge you for "service fee" and "dealer fee", which is completely bs for getting a tire change, but I had to replace the tire really bad so I took a hit. 2. They would scam you with their so called "appointment system". I used the term so called since it does not function like a regular appointment system, where you come in at your time and get service. They will make an appointment with you, but when you showup there will be NOONE serving you. There will be excuses like "ah the person you looking for is helping someone else" or something like "they are not in today" in that case why even an appointment? read more

My brother's car has been sitting at this dealership for 9 months because they refuse to perform the teardown that was explicitly authorized by both the warranty company and my brother. This is not just bad business, it's negligence and bad faith. The warranty company has been ignored. My brother has been ignored. My grandmother, who has stepped in multiple times, has also been ignored. Yet my brother is still forced to make monthly payments on a vehicle that has been undrivable for almost a year because of this dealership's refusal to act. Every time we call, the so-called 'higher ups' are always 'in a meeting,' which is nothing more than a stall tactic to avoid accountability. This is deliberate neglect and failure to fulfill contractual obligations. Be warned: I am already preparing to escalate this legally. This includes involving an attorney, reporting this dealership to the Better Business Bureau, the State Attorney General's office, and consumer protection agencies. If necessary, I will also pursue action for damages caused by their refusal to act in good faith. This dealership is a complete disgrace to the industry. The fact that they continue to operate while piling up negative reviews says everything. Save yourself the headache, the money, and the legal mess. Do not do business here. read more

Terrible experience and over priced. I was definitely taken advantage of. Took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation with their "free inspection". Received my car back over 5 hours later but when I arrived that morning I was told it would be 1.5 to 2 hours. After getting my car I asked to verify if my tires were rotated, I was told "they SHOULD have done that" not "that was completed." Received no inspection report. Even had another vehicle in the day before, all the same services were cheaper AND I received a detailed report about my car. Have yet to hear from a services manager. read more

Customer service is the worst I have seen. Purchased a 2023 VW id.4 in early 2024, was great the first year. Summer of 2025, error messages started up and continue nonstop due to a broken navigation system. The svc manager, CJ Bailey, has had this car no fewer than three times in the past six months to repair the same problem. Each time I've been hopeful picking it up as he assured me it was fixed, each time it has NOT been fixed. They repeatedly lie and deflect questions, don't return calls, and will only correspond via text or email. They do not have a tech onsite who can diagnose, let alone repair electric vehicles, but they kept it for six weeks this last time, assuring me it as finally repaired. Less than ten minutes from the dealership, the error messages started and the navigation showed my location in the middle of a cornfield literally miles away from where I was. NO SUPPORT AND NO RESPECT FOR CUSTOMERS unless they are trying to sell you a car. After that, doesn't matter if a car is under warranty or not, they cannot fix electric vehicles. Their final solution was telling me to take it to a different dealership because they cannot fix it. Unacceptable. read more

Napleton repeatedly left my calls unanswered, overpromised and underdelivered. Requested to buy car in Cash Jan 17th, did not receive it until Feb 21st. I received my car without a title, smelling of smoke with multiple undisclosed scratches. -------- We originally sought to purchase this vehicle January 17th; despite multiple call backs, I was not able to talk with a sales manager until January 24th. I was told we could place a deposit and close on the car that day. Despite multiple calls & emails back and forth, we were not able to place a deposit until January 31st for reasons unclear to me. I was told paperwork would be sent to arrange our purchase. The paperwork was not sent until February 6th. I completed the paperwork was told to wire money over, but for multiple days in a row I was told no one was available to confirm the amount. Finally having paid for the car February 11th, the vehicle was not available to be picked up from the dealership for another week. Once again, no updates when *I* have to reach out. The vehicle arrived smelling of smoke with multiple undisclosed scratches. There was no paperwork or title with the vehicle. I again called only for them to not know where the paperwork was and they claimed the DMV had it; I was later called back and told they simply forgot to send it. Working with Napleton Urbana has been one of the largest stressors of my life and I am so glad that our interaction is now over. read more

Drove 2.5 hrs to buy/inspect and it was apparent there was multiple body damage and the photos on there web were photo shopped showing no damage. Also the engine light came on while driving away from the dealership. They also use a new scam tactic : the guy (Joey) you talk to on the phone goes on vacation when you get to the dealership so there is no accountability for the multiple lies over the phone. I just purchased a vehicle from Daniele and she was great to work with. However, it was a nightmare getting to the finance department to do the paperwork. We were there from 5:00pm till 9:45pm. and was not financing the car. They keep saying it was only going to be a few more minutes. Once I finally got to the finance department the whole process took about 15 minutes. We had drove over 2 hours to test drive the car and at one point I was so tired of waiting I was going to leave but then realized I had been there so long and just stayed. I did not receive any paperwork because the office was closed and was told it would be emailed the next day. It's been several days and still no paperwork. This happened some time ago but I still feel like people should know about this when purchasing vehicles here In the middle of winter I called the dealership telling them about a particular Mazda on their lot I was interested in and that I would like to test drive it. I make an appointment and arrive at the dealership. First, half of the doors were closed and I had to walk around half the building to get to the appropriate door. I made my way through the empty building until I was directed to a saleswoman who sat me down at her desk and asked me to wait while the car was brought up. What I expected to be just a few minutes was 20 minutes of pure boredom as I waited for them to find a car that they KNEW I was coming for. She comes to her desk and tells me the car is outside but "there isn't much gas in it so don't go too far". I get in the car and as per the picture I am greeted to an EMPTY gas tank. Not close to E, past E. Now that I bought one of these (from a different dealership), I can tell you that the range estimate only goes blank below 20 miles. Thats less than one gallon of gas. Now I am stuck driving around barely able to leave the parking lot for fear of running out of gas,, and since it was so cold it took a very long time for the engine to heat up. The engine ran very rough due to being cold but it only warmed up when i got back to the dealership but I did not want to take it back out due to my fear of running out of gas. This is insane that this is how you treat a BRAND NEW car that costs $32,000. The amount of damage that this type of negligence does to the fuel pump makes me feel bad for whoever bought the car. And the best bit? On their website listing the fuel light was on. I also asked about the difference in the regular turbo model and the turbo premium. The saleswoman went onto the official Mazda website, did some clicking, and said "Yeah I guess it's just the leather seats. I don't know why you'd pay more for it." Here is an answer to that question (from the Mazda website): parking sensors, full leather interior, drowsy detection, 360 cameras, and traffic jam assist. read more

My Mazda needed a new wheel and tire so called Napleton's to order the part and schedule the service. I should have known something was off then because even after I provided my VIN number the person I spoke to seemed confused about which parts to order. I took pictures of my wheel and tire and emailed them to Miles in their parts department and provided my VIN again. Arrived for my service appointment only to find that they never ordered my wheel or tire. They tried to make me pay $50 a day for a loaner vehicle while I waited for them to get the parts in. Only after speaking to a manager did I get them to provide a loaner vehicle for free because of their mistake. Returned 4 days later after receiving a text saying that my vehicle would be ready at the end of the day. Arrived just after 5pm only to find that they tried to return my vehicle to me missing a lug nut. They put the lug nut on and I paid my bill, leaving about 50 minutes later. On my bill, the parts were almost $200 more than what I was quoted with no unanticipated parts added. At that point I was just happy to be done with them so I didn't dispute the amount. I will take my vehicle to an independent shop to have my wheels and tires inspected. I have no confidence that Napleton's did the mounting and balancing properly since they tried to return my vehicle to me in an unsafe condition. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE FOR SERVICE! read more

I wanted to start by thanking Lelan for taking me and my partner on as a newer employee. Even though he has only been there for around 3 weeks, that didn't hinder his professionalism and work ethic. He was very kind and anytime he didn't have an answer, instead of lying or making something up (like I've experienced in other dealerships) he made sure to go to leadership to find out for us. Everyone was very kind and helpful throughout the process. Devan from finance was also great to speak with and ensured we understood the whole process. I should've walked out! And come to today, they didn't even pay off the loan on my trade in! I spent over an hour on the phone calling repeatedly until I got through to the sales manager! He got it straight out, but this should never have happened in the first place! They don't use KBB, J.D. Power, or any other common pricing tool. They use their own system. No effort on their part to locate the repair parts needed & terrible communication snafus. (Picked car up Thursday morning. Took car elsewhere and needed only cleaning and adjustment.) I was promised when I picked up my new car that they would get in it to detail since it was not done when picked up and I was told that they would fix the tire since it had a slow leak. I called to schedule (was told to do with the salesman Louis since he knew what was happening) and I have left several messages that I have lost count. I have sent emails to the website main email and left message on sales manager voicemail. No one has called back. I ended up with a flat tire on interstate and had to call a tow truck. I witnessed Payton W. work very calm, cool, & collected in a caring manner & under a lot of pressure. I personally witnessed him handle 2 phone calls, help another customer in-store, all while retrieving the keys to my car for pick-up. 10/10 would recommend Payton - you have a great employee in him! read more

On March 30 of 2023, my 2015 Kia Sorrento had started to die. I met Felishia Sutton, who took the time to help me find a replacement vehicle for the Sorrento. Felishia was absolutely amazing. In the fact that she listened to my concerns worked very diligently to find a vehicle that I could afford with the monthly payments and offered as much service as possible, she found me a 2016 GMC terrain with average miles on it in great condition and the payments that I could afford, she allowed me to take it for a test drive to my home and bring it back. She also allowed me to take it to an independent mechanic and have it looked at and use it while I ran to the bank to get the new financing. Felishia Sutton knew that I needed a vehicle that day and she scheduled a post sell detail for the terrain to be done the following Saturday morning at the VW branch of Napleton's, the branch managers name Idris McPherson, was also fantastic in all of his assistance. While I was dealing with Felishia Sutton I had asked her to please look into seeing if the terrain had any recalls that needed to be fixed, and that I would like those scheduled within a week of taking possession of the vehicle, Felishia Sutton promptly looked in her computer to see if the recalls had been completed, and while she could not confirm through the computers, if the recall had been done, she promptly contacted the local GMC dealership in Savoy, and provided them with the Vin number to this vehicle, and provided me with their contact information, she informed me that they were expecting a phone call from me at my convenience. when I pointed out to Felishia Sutton and Mr. Idris McPherson that the truck needed a new radio antenna they both informed me that they would get a new radio antenna for me in just over a week. Which was no big issue for me. My overall experience with Napleton's. This time was 100% different than what it had been in my previous review of this business. I would certainly encourage anyone that is looking for a used vehicle to contact Felishia Sutton or Idris McPherson and deal with either one of them. Felishia Sutton is an absolutely amazing sales person. She understood my concerns, and she did not waste my time in trying to find something that I was not interested in. The communication that I had between Miss Sutton, and myself was very prompt and responsive within a reasonable amount of time. I was asked if I was going to be dropping off the vehicle for its post detail wash, and when I informed Miss Sutton that I would be, she was happy with it, and she wanted to make sure that everything was taken care of promptly. I cannot say enough good things about Felishia Sutton or Idris McPherson the VW branch manager, they both were more than willing to work with me to get me out of the Kia Sorrento and in to the GMC terrain. Idris, Mcphereson, and Felishia Sutton both took the time to explain to me that because of the fact that the Kia Sorento was eventually going to need a new engine that they could not do a trade-in on the vehicle however, both Idris Mcphereson and Felishia Sutton had stated that they would be willing to purchase the Kia Sorento however, it would be a minimum amount because it would be going to auction because of the problems.
