We don't usually eat at tourist spots but one can deny the attraction of it at the Pantheon. We were created by out friendly waiter and sat at a table with an excellent view. We ordered a couple cocktails and a bottle of sparkling water. Both were excellent and the water crisp and clean. For lunch we ordered pasta and a ceasar salad. Only in Italy can you get such quality at a restaurant and after we finished eating there was nothing left. The prices are reasonable too. Two cocktails, sparkling water, a salad, two pasta dishes, and a double espresso was about 60 euros. I would highly suggest giving this place a try and enjoy the drink, food, coffee, and people watching. read more

This place left a terrible taste in our mouths figuratively, not literally. We stopped by Napoletano's for just drinks and a small bite to eat, but it felt like the staff resented us for not ordering full meals. One waiter even farted near our group as we were being seated it might sound like a joke, but it wasn't. It was immature and downright offensive. When it came time to pay, they tried to coerce us into adding a tip on top of the already included service fee. They stood over us with the POS system, clearly hoping we wouldn't realize the extra tip was unnecessary. This kind of behavior seems like a deliberate attempt to take advantage of tourists unfamiliar with the local norms. With so many great places to eat in Rome, this one is a hard pass. This review is just for the cocktail and ambience so nice we just stopped here quickly for a quick drink and to people watch before our dinner reservation. I loved that this restaurant is along the courtyard where the Pantheon is. We sat along the edge of the courtyard so could sip our drinks and watch all the tourists maneuvering through other tourists and street vendors alike. The other thing I thought that was really good was my whiskey sour was mixed pretty stiff, they really know how to keep a tourist happy, hehe. I will say the food going by to other tables looked quite good as well. The next time I'm back in Rome, I'd surely come back here, if not for the food for sure for the stiff drinks. read more

The food was not good. The eggs flat, coffee bitter & bread stale. The server was very aggressive when it came time to pay the bill. He pointed out that they don't charge a service fee so a tip was expected. I'm American, I'm used to tipping for literally everything but his aggressive attitude was a lot to take. We stayed right next door n this Pantheon at the Piazza Della Rotonda is so popular, restaurants are open till 1 to 2 am n ice cream parlors are open till midnight. There were so many restaurants I didn't know which one to go to but I was happy I chose the right one despite 1 yelper rating it 1 star, it should be 6 stars!! We ordered the amazing scialatiellialloscoglio Which was just pasta w seafood, huge shrimps like langostinos, tender mussels n clams unlike most Italian restaurants back in USA which were always chewy. The eggplant parmigiana was good too n only 12€!! I loved their caipirinha only 9.50€!! Back home it was $15! The zucchini appertizer was yummy too. There is no inflation anywhere in Rome n I'm amazed why that is so when in USA we have 9.1% inflation n 30% inflation restaurants prices, you know what to do to lower inflation to the prosperity of Italy. Their customer service is unique, they greeted us like we were family, they gave us a free bottle of water and free limoncello after dinner! Tonight we made a mistake to go next door, I'll write a review for these bad people later. On the 2nd time I had grilled rib eyes only 20euros, it tasted good but a little chewy, just stick w everything else it's 5 stars n wish I could go back again n again. What a beautiful place to have dinner! We were walking near the Pantheon when this place caught our eye. The restaurant was fairly full, which I always view as a pretty good sign. We ordered bruschetta for an appetizer, thinking we would get small pieces of bread with tomato. The pieces were massive, so you can definitely share between two! My fellow Americans, this is it! This is the spot that is going to serve you Italian food with the stronger flavors we are used to. This was literally the only place we ate at over 7 days where I thought the food was good. We found that in Italy they don't really salt or pepper the food and are pretty scarce on seasoning that isn't already contained within the raw food. We ended up asking for table salt at the restaurants and that helped a lot. The location of this restaurant is to die for. You are literally sitting across from the Pantheon. It was an incredible view that was so romantic and awe inspiring. I cannot emphasize enough how amazing this place was. The wait staff were all very friendly and spoke English. Napoletanos is located in the Pantheon square across from the Pantheon. As with most tourist traps, there's someone in the front trying to entice you to come in. Although I had my eyes on another restaurant, my husband heard "master chef" and had to eat here. Yes, my hubby watches a lot of food shows. We sat outside as most tables were outside. Took about 10 minutes for our orders to be taken (which is good for Italy as everything's at a slower pace). We ordered... Negroni ×2 Peroni ×2 Melon and prosciutto salad Lemon chicken with grilled vegetables Pesto pasta Tiramisu Cafe Latte ×2 We ate many good meals in Italy but this had to be the best! My lemon chicken was so good that I had the other half of my huge plate to go. Typically I don't take food to go, but it was so good that I couldn't wait till next day to eat the rest. It was delicious even on the next day. The service was great, food was amazing and best of all, you never felt rushed. Our dinner took over 2 hours and it was a pleasure to be there. Average tourist place across from the Pantheon. Great outdoor location overlooking the Pantheon. Cigarette smoke a bit much, but it comes and goes. Wish there was an option(at the time) to sit inside or outside. We rrdered the Pasta with cream sauce and mushrooms (way too many mushrooms and huge) and the pasta with pomodoro sauce. Like another reviewer mentioned below, this place is definitely a tourist trap. The restaurant is located in across from the Pantheon and there is a host and some waiters in the front trying to convince people to go eat here. My bf and I decided to eat here because they have seafood pasta which was what I wanted to eat and we didn't want to walk anywhere else after a long day. Service was alright and kind of slow. We shared a bruschetta(€6) and seafood pasta (€17). A bottle of still water costs €4 which is ridiculous. On top of that, there's a service charge of €2 per person. I realized this after I left a tip with my credit card. The waiter was insistent on me leaving a tip with my card which should have given me a red flag to double check the bill more closely. I'm giving two stars (instead of one) because of the location and the affordable price overall. This restaurant only merits 2 stars because the food didn't taste authentic. I had the cacio e Pepe, and the spaghetti did not taste homemade or fresh, and there was a lack of fresh cheese taste. My husband had the lasagna, which was better, but tasted sweet. Also, we were charged 4 euros for tap water (not bottles) and 4 euros for a cover charge but we didn't get any bread. I'd recommend maybe coming here for wine and people watching, but then you'd still be paying the cover. read more

Waiters of this restaurant are rude and unpolite. We sat this restaurant with my wife. The dark, middle aged, middle height, dull faced waiter talked us from two meters away. I asked him 'Are these wines Italian?' He got angry as like Ihave to know it. I asked him which wine he advice, he adviced me three expensive wine. Because of that probably he got more angry. We served pizza, potato, wine and cocktail. Taste was normal. Waiter came and asked 'how we find the taste?' and as a joke I said 'Taste is normal'. Afterthat he got angry and he said 'This is the best restaurant of here. If you come one hour before, you can not find place to sit. About taste, you can only say something ıf you are expert. I understand your opinion when I look at your choices'. We felt very bad and had a very very bad experience. The view is good and the restaurant is kept in pretty good shape for a tourist trap. Got the Alfredo, make sure to ask for them to leave the parmesan. It did not have a lot of flavor but was not the worst I've had before. Very creamy sauce and the fettuccine was similar to what you would find at an Olive Garden in comparison to thickness and texture. Overall was a good experience and if you are looking for a place to rest your legs and get some ok food, might not be a bad spot. From Rome to Florence to Venice this restaurant was by far our most favorite food and place to enjoy dinner! Whomever has said anything to the opposite must have the greatest of expectations and may often be disappointed. Their service staff is so wonderful. By our second visit we were greeted with hugs and kisses and when they knew we were returning they saved us a table right in the from directly facing the Pantheon. The food, especially their lasagna was delicious, and of course their Tiramisu. Prosecco to start and Limoncello to finish. Cons: was a bit pricey, but I did know that going in, the staff was very helpful, but felt a little pushy (eat here, try this, you want that), and I think the wine may have been a little watered down (as a wino, I was a little disappointed about that). I liked this place quite a bit until my entree was served. The staff was on it, and seemed to anticipate our needs as far as seating and replacing a dirty glass the split second before my daughter reached for it. I commented to my husband that I didn't care if it was a "tourist" restaurant if it was this good. We shared a tasty bruscetta. The tomatoes were fresh and it gave me high hopes for the rest of my meal. I ordered a four cheese ravioli in a cream sauce and a glass of white wine. The wine was so bland it tasted like it was mixed with water first. The ravioli filling was very dry, almost gritty. Excellent with balsamic vinegar over top. Pasta was bland but Al Dante (the way I love pasta) . Companion had a plain bocochino pizza which he enjoyed. Ordered another beer and a pop. (diet Coke was $4.50 € ..a bit steep), medium size beer was the same price. Lunch for 2, with an additional med. Beer and Diet a Coke came to $32.50€...a bit on the steep side for lunch.
