I went here for the first time and I would definitely come back! You get started with some bread, which was your basic sort of bread with garlic, it wasn't life changing but I was glad to have it! We then got fried mozzarella as an appetizer, which I was pretty disappointed in honestly, it was just cheese sticks and idk maybe that's on me and my expectations but I really would have thought it would have been a bit more elevated at an Italian restaurant. Next was my pasta, now I got the spaghetti carbonara and it wasn't like an carbonara I've ever had. Again maybe I don't know what spaghetti carbonara is and that's why I was disappointed so I put that on me. The pasta was... good enough for the price and then portion was HUGE. My family and I just had an early dinner here and we really enjoyed ourselves. I believe it is ran by a mother/ daughter duo, but I could be wrong. The bread served before the meal was light and fluffy and there was an abundance of butter available on the table. The Stromboli, Shrimp Alfredo and Spaghetti with Meatballs were served in HUGE portions. The lasagna portion was practical. Food: sausage in sauce appetizer was perfect. side salad was ok, dressing seemed to be a mixture of cocktail sauce, olive oil, vinegar and seasonings. Fettuccine with red clam sauce had a lot of meat in it, larger chunks as well, these honestly didn't seem like clam meat, the homemade fettuccine had a great bite to it. The lemon mascarpone cake seemed like a white cake that was a bit denser similar to a pound cake, lemon mascarpone frosting could have been lemon extract. The lemoncello spritzer was good, wasn't bubbly, but was delicious . All in all a good meal although not the type of Italian meal that I have commonly had. Service: literally exceptional, these people work very hard and are moving at all times to accommodate people. Ordered takeout after reading reviews and read their menu. I dont like eating out for Italian unless they make their own pasta. Menu says homemade pasta. Well its not homemade nor is it authentic italian. Maybe authentic americanized italian. $6 for this salad and $19 for this pasta with fresh basil, olive oil, and garlic......looks like dried basil mixed in oil. It did have chopped garlic. Our other dish was spaghetti with meatballs. It was good, nothing special. I dont know who these people are who say the pasta is homemade? It definitely is not homemade. Napoli's is a family owned restaurant-- from Naples of course! The pasta and sauces are all home made and wonderfully prepared. The spicy shrimp pasta had a rich marinara sauce with just the right amount of piquancy and a generous portion perfectly cooked juicy shrimps. The fettuccine was light and al dente. Delicious fresh bread to mop it all up. My two dinner companions were also pleased with the baked lasagna and the lemon/white wine pasta. The Caesar salad was also ample and fresh. My sister and I were looking for an Italian dinner in town after a weekend long wedding. We saw this one on Yelp so grabbed an Uber from our hotel and headed over. The decor inside is very welcoming. One of the owners sat us at a table and told us the history of how they started. They started us with this bread that was delicious. My sister ordered the chicken capellini because she wanted a lot of veggies and I ordered the manicotti. Both were really good but we also had to take some back to the hotel with us because couldn't finish our meals - which is a good thing for portion size! The only bad thing was the price. It was my fault for not double checking our bill before paying but it took so long to get them to bring the check and then again so long for them to run the card that we just wanted to get back to the hotel and sleep. But the total was just under $90 (with tip) and with each entree being $18 and $20, that means are two cocktails had to be close to $20 each. I should have double checked the receipt and that's on me but even if it was correct, that's pretty price for a glass of bubbles and an aperol spritz. Overall, delicious food though. read more

We went there to try it out for the first time yesterday. Granted they were busy and I can live with that but... I have to say that was the worst Italian food I have ever had in a restaurant. The bread looked pretty but was bland. We ordered stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer, they came to the table cold, the sauce on them was bland. We ordered fettuccine with clams in a white sauce. The pasta was over cooked and of poor quality. The clams appeared to be the chopped up variety from a can. The dish was not good. We were supposed to have salads but they forgot to bring them. After tasting the mushrooms and the pasta dish we decided we didn't care about salad. We paid $85 for the worst meal I have had in Champaign in 30 years. read more

We've been wanting to visit this local restaurant after hearing about it from friends. Valentine's Day was just the time for a late lunch that filled us up for the remainder of the day. We were greeted promptly and seated at a cozy booth with Italian music playing. While looking over the large menu, we received warm homemade bread. Our fresh pasta entrees, tortellini alla pana and a house special, "lucky guess", were served hot and delicious. The wait staff and, even the chef, were attentive and welcoming. Enjoyed dinner with my Mom at Napoli's for the first time. The meal and drinks were top notch. The complimentary bread was warm and buttery with a touch of garlic, SO GOOD. Plenty of menu items to choose from. There was no wine list available but our waiter kindly remarked that they just had their liquor license approved since opening and the list was still being made. He was able to answer any questions we had about the wine available. Our waiter was very welcoming, he had moved to the US from Southern Italy just 50 days prior and you could tell he was passionate about serving good Italian food and drink. For the portion size, you definitely get your bang for your buck. The ambiance could use some altering, the lights above each table are way too bright, more so for a dinner setting compared to lunch. Water came in red plastic cups, would definitely encourage to upgrade to glass. The tables seemed more like you were in a food court rather than a nice restaurant. All of this is being picky, the primary part of all this is the food and it was very delicious and we'd dine here again. read more

Food is amazing, some of the best pasta I've had. If you want a heavier more filling dish I would suggest the lucky guess. If you want something lighter then the tortellini modo mio w/ chicken. Pleasant customer service, with good timing on bringing out waters, bread, food, etc. One of my favorite spots in Champaign, if not my most favorite. The only downside is that when paying I think they included gratuity into the bill. I tipped on top of that and after doing the mental math I realized I paid around 35% more than what the bill should be. Maybe it's bc I'm young and they felt that I would stiff them. A gem if you like Italian dishes cooked by an Italian family. I had a traditional dish, linguine with clam sauce with lots of clams. It was our first time coming to Napolis. We came later in the evening and the only people in the restaurant on a Tuesday night. The waitstaff were friendly and welcoming. The decor was fresh, fun, and clean. The food was very good and came out quickly. We had a mix of vegetarian and meat dishes. All cooked well and fresh. We were giving the bread (which was delicious). We met the chef and he said the restaurant has only been open for 6 months and that he was from Napoli, hence the name. I was staying at my nieces home while visiting from Indianapolis and ordered delivery (via slice). The delivery driver forgot part of my order. I live in Los Angeles but visit family in the area a couple of times a year. This restaurant was new to me, and when we walked in I noted how lovely the interior was. I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce and it was good, my daughter got the ravioli which was apparently delicious and my mother in law's pasta with shrimp and chicken was apparently great, too. We got tiramisu to share for dessert and it was every bit as good as the ones I've had at Pasta Sisters in LA or in Milan. The service was excellent, too. We'll definitely come back the next time we're in town! ETA: Reading some of the other reviews, I have to laugh.
