We were here to visit our college student and stopped for lunch. We were seated promptly, within 2 minutes water was bought out and our server arrived. These are some of the best Olive Garden servers I've ever encountered. The young lady was personable and made sure we had all that was needed. Our food arrived fresh and hot and was very good. We ordered endless soup, salad and bread sticks, and had to ask our server multiple times for soup. When the soup (creamy chicken gnocchi) finally arrived the consistency was that of water. When I spoke with the manager they explained that the kitchen was working on new standards and that they were intentionally making the "cream" soup thinner. Really? Bread sticks weren't brought out with the salad and the salad bowl was less than 1/2 full despite both my wife and I having ordered the same meal. Everything took 20 minutes to come out independently. Our water wasn't refilled despite repeatedly asking for refills. What should have been a 45-60 minute meal turned into a 2 hour lesson in futility. This has happened 3x before, however we try to give benefit of the doubt that improvement will be made, or that having a different server will yield a better experience. Therefore I feel I should hold myself to account for continuing my patronage of this establishment. read more

Sad to see a chain that I've always liked slipping so badly. We went to celebrate my birthday. As seniors, we went the middle of the afternoon. There were very few people, expected considering the timing. It took almost 15 minutes for the server to greet us and get our drink order, so we were able to give out full order at the same time. Hubby's appetizer took another 15 or 20 minutes, then another 20 to get the salad and breadsticks. Another 20 minutes to get our entrees. The food was hot and what we'd ordered. Restaurant review: It was a stormy fall night and we had just finished shopping at the local Toy R Us. We decided to take a quick dinner here and was hoping for a solid Italian dinner. Alas not so good. I ordered the steak medallion Gorgonzola fettuccine alfredo. While waiting for dinner, we had the unlimited breadsticks which were good along with the soup. Somehow my two bowls of soup came out lukewarm which was quite disappointing. The dinner that I had ordered had overcooked fettuccine alfredo with 4 piece of "steak medallion". Unfortunately, not a good cut of beef as they were tough and chewy. Even though I had ordered it medium rare, the steak was close to medium to well. Even before we finished eating the waiter asked if we would like dessert and promptly threw down the check when we said no. Overall I will have to pass from eating here again. I came to dine at this restaurant on 05.21.22. The entire experience, food, seating staff and waitress were all fine. It was my friend's birthday and our waitress offered us a free dessert which was very kind. This is where the trouble started. We were ready for our check but the waitress said she couldn't find a manager to take it off the bill, we grew impatient after almost 30 minutes and just paid for it. It was on our way out of the restaurant that we then found where the manager, Chris Herrman had been this entire time. The manager was off the premises yelling at a young black female employee. I have never seen anything like this in my entire life. Imagine apparently being the only manager on a busy Saturday night and yet finding the time to threaten to fire employees outside. The new server came over took a new drink order, and proceeded to serve us. She had a snarky attitude from the jump, like being the only people in the cold section, was an inconvenience to them. Ok cool, ordered and stuff. We felt bad for our OG server, so went to the car pulled all the cash we had on us (paid with a card), I went to the host stand and asked for the OG SERVER, she had since been cut and gone (20 mins). So we left her the tip on the bill we would have ordered with her, who got shifted out of her table. Now our server wasn't the friendliest, so she didn't get a great tip. But overall, as a fellow server if a customer request a server, section or not... let them have them and don't make it a thing, especially when turning on the heat in your 65* back dining room isn't an option. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It wasn't her fault we needed to move, it was the anemia and temp of the room that dropped quite a bit from general dining![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It wasn't handled well, the food was good though. Used to like this place until tonight. Had horrible service. We sat in the bar, and it took forever for our waiter to come over and help us. We ordered our food. Enjoyed soup while waiting for our main entree. I ordered the chicken Alfredo. When it arrived, I took a bite of chicken that was so hot it burned my throat going down. Today I went back after maybe three years and I was impressed with how well the food I bought to go was packaged and his friendly the workers were. I ordered the chicken shrimp carbonara and this plate was good. Idk if they put salt in the salt the pasta is boiled in but the pasta could've used a little bit more seasoning. If I could do a negative rating I would. Food was okay, the waitress had an attitude and made it really clear she did not like her job. Tried to order the lunch size and it was during the correct hours and told it was not available. The restaurant only had a few tables taken so it was quite empty. When she asked if we needed anything else or something more to drink it was clear she was not happy that she had to ask. Gave the waitress the benefit of the doubt and thought she was acting that way due to the lack of customers, so I left her a good tip. She did not even thank me when I gave it to her, she actually gave me a nasty look. I guess 30% was not good enough. Tonight we attempted to dine in. Upon being seated, I requested that the hostess wipe our table of particles that were present from previous guests. Moments later the same host sat a party directly next to us, I politely asked our server to move us so that we can correctly practice social distancing. As we awaited our food, a different server sat a party at the table that we'd previously moved from. As a side room clustered with 4 parties not practicing social distancing whatsoever, I got up and immediately spotted the manager. I voiced my concern and she visually seen the issue. We went on Monday, July 29 2019 in the early afternoon. The hostess looked at my family and I like we had been bitter enemies for years. It was completely rude and uncalled for. When we entered the seating area, it smelled strongly of mold/basement musk. It was very warm inside with stale air. We ordered our drinks and food, and our food arrived before our drinks. When our soups arrived, my wife's was luke warm. I chose not to eat mine because it looked old, and again, our drinks hadn't arrived yet. When my margarita finally arrived, it was covered in condensation, and the salt around the rim had slid all the way down the glass. The ice looked half melted also. My wife's Bloody Mary was also warm. At that point I had had enough. My wife asked for a manager, and after I explained my frustrations, we were given a $50 card. I very rarely ever complain, because I understand how demanding the food service industry can be. But this situation was completely unacceptable, especially with the mold issue. I'll be using the card at my local Olive Garden in Kankakee, where we have never had an issue. I will never return to this particular restaurant. read more

First off I had a great experience with all but one employee. I believe her name was Molly and she wasn't my server but I could hear her since she was serving the table next to me. She was very impatient and moody when serving that table. I actually felt so bad for the customers since she was so rude. The food is mediocre at best. As for service? Not great either. The two people I was with ordered unlimited salad while I ordered a build your own pasta dish. The wait time for my friend's salads took a while and once it was served, the portions weren't enough to feed the two. When they requested more the wait time was long again. Meanwhile my meal took more than 20 minutes to reach me and by then both my friends were close to finished with their dinner. The mushroom sauce on my dish was pasty which was a bit of a disappointment, but was ok (not great). As the saying goes, you shouldn't expect much because it's a chain restaurant. I hate that saying because regardless of a place being local or a chain, you should expect the experience and food to be good.
