We're so glad we found Napoli's! The restaurant is spotless, and the inviting atmosphere makes it such a comfortable place to relax and enjoy a great meal. The vibe is wonderfully chill, and the service was friendly from start to finish. The food was absolutely wonderful--especially exciting for us because Napoli's offers classic Italian dishes without pork. I got the lasagna and my partner had the penne bolognese--both dishes that usually include pork--and we were so thrilled to finally be able to enjoy them. I am so disappointed about the Fake Tiramisu they have. Real Italian Tiramisu is made with Creamy Mascarpone Cheese, but these guys put whipped cream instead. SMH, i hope they start using mascarpone cheese for the tiramisu. Food is great, service and maintenance are great. read more

This is a cute place located in a nice quaint little building. Atmosphere was your typical Italian decor, lots of greenery and rustic Italian themes. Service was incredible. I mean, our waitress predicted what we needed before we asked, put my son's food order in first and brought it out quickly (we so appreciated this) and was super prompt with literally everything. We didn't have to ask for boxes, and she had the check ready on time, her timing was impeccable the entire time! The food was overall, good. The bread service was delicious. The garlic knots were freshly baked and heavenly. They do an olive oil dip with it and we usually love this at comparable restaurants but their olive oil was on the fruity/floral side for me. My husband liked it, but for me I prefer a more buttery and garlic flavor to my olive oils, especially when meant for bread. The calamari wasn't good. The issue (which is easily fixable) is that the pieces were HUGE! We've never seen calamari rings that big! Because of that, I'm assuming they got overcooked to ensure they got up to temp as these were so so rubbery and tough. I don't know if this size is typical for them if there was an ordering issue, but these would be really good if they were smaller so it could be a faster fry and less likely to get overcooked. My husband had the shrimp and scallop Alfredo and he LOVED it, he said he likes it more than his usual at Biaggis which is saying something because that's been our go to for over a decade. I had the chicken parm and the chicken itself was great. The spaghetti was okay, but the noodles were watery, making the sauce on top thin, this would've been better if the sauce and noodles were tossed into a pan to thicken the sauce and coat the noodles. My son has the chicken strip meal (it came with fries) and he was happy with it! Pretty good but the food is not significantly different than Olive Garden. I had the your of Italy. Fettuccini Alfredo, lasagna, and chicken Parmesan. Had the garlic cheese bread for an appetizer . Cheese bread was good but the marinara tasted more like tomato sauce. The olive oil with seasoning in the table was much better. While it was good, it wasn't amazing. We found Napoli's and it was relatively close to the hotel we were at - so we popped over for dinner. As there was a winter storm just starting to roll in, the place was pretty quiet. Waiter was there as soon as we sat with menus and bread. The menu is good sized and with all of your Italian favorites represented. I went with fried calamari as an app and it was cooked right on the money. Sauce was good as well. For an entrée, I went with chicken parm which is my yardstick for measuring Italian places. Portion was good sized and fried perfectly - sauce and cheese were proportionally good and I also ordered a side of broccoli sauteed with garlic and oil. Again, the garlic / oil ration was where it needed to be and broccoli was cooked with just enough crunch. This was my first time at Napoli's. My husband and I went with the in-laws for their anniversary dinner. My first complaint is that we told the waitress we were going to have six coming, and we had to watch them put the table together instead of waiting until it was done to bring us back. Next, we waited for over 35 minutes to put in our food order. The bruschetta was not authentic at all. There was a bug on our table. The waitress was answering the phone while giving us our food. I thought the bread they gave at the table was nice. I did not eat any of the bread but it looked like it would probably taste good. Caesar salad was good but a little on the tangy side. I like that they give a lot of croutons. I ordered the salmon (dinner portion size) as my main meal, and substituted the pasta for vegetables since I did not want a heavy meal. I liked the way the vegetables were cooked and my request of having more spinach than other vegetables was satisfied. The salmon was cooked fine but the sauce was a little too sour for me but I bet it would taste fine with pasta. My waiter was extremely sweet and kind. We were in Cedar Rapids on a business/mini-getaway and decided Italian sounded good for supper. We found Napoli's on Yelp and it did not disappoint! We were seated promptly, but it took a bit longer than expected for our server to come over. Granted, the restaurant was about 3/4's full and there were several large groups there. They were not serving alcohol -- I couldn't tell if they just didn't serve alcohol or had lost their license, but it was OK. I ordered Linguine Sinatra and DH ordered Chicken Picatta with a dinner salad. The shrimp in my dish were large and well-cooked -- sometimes shrimp gets overcooked and can be rubbery but these were perfect. DH said the Chicken Picatta was the best he's ever had and that is one of his favorite Italian dishes. I had a taste and agreed it was great -- I would order that next time! Came in on a Saturday night for my mom's birthday. We were seated right away, but it was busy so reservations might be recommended. I had a hard time picking what I wanted because so many dishes looked good! I ended up getting the Chicken Romano and was glad I did. Lucky for me i found this restaurant quickly and i managed to have a nice italian dinner Service: 5/5. I was seated very quickly. Waitress came right away and got my drink Order, bread and olive oil. Wait staff are very attentive here and are always smiling and making you feel welcomed. Food: 5/5 frutti di mare was excellent. Large size shrimp and scallops. The food is always good! I try to go there at least every visit in CR! I usually get the stuff manicotti and it has never let me down. My husband tries different things like lasagna and he got a salad this last time with the most delicious chicken that melted in your mouth! Also It's reasonably priced! All the workers are very nice and the service is outstanding! Such nice people working there. The owners are doing a heckuva job at this new restaurant on the southwest side. The owners were at the new restaurant on the southwest side, and it was nice to see them there. We usually go to the one up in Marion but since this one opened on the southwest side, it's great so convenient. They are so appreciative of people that come in there! read more

Stopped in for lunch, my 3rd visit here. I appreciate that they offer lunch portions every day including the weekends! I had the manicotti (cheese stuffed noodles with red sauce), but started with a cup of tomato basil soup and their delicious homemade rolls. The rolls were hot and plentiful, and the soup is my favorite part of the meal. It is creamy and satisfying. I will probably get a bowl for an entree next time! Our server was pleasant and kept my water filled, which is always a sign that they're paying good attention! The vibe was very quiet today. We were just one of two tables at 1130am on a Saturday. We've driven by this place a thousand times (heck, I worked across the street for 4+ years), and until 2021, we had never been here. Since July, we've been here seven times. We were really missing out. This place is a good blend of fancy, but casual. I feel like I could come here on a Saturday in jeans and a hoodie to have lunch or dress up for a date night on a Friday. The food has been delicious every time. So far, I've been most impressed with the chicken niccola and the chicken parmigiana. The bread they serve before the meal is fresh and hot. My husband has enjoyed their pizzas - they are the perfect size for one (plus some leftovers) or two people to share. I went on a date night with my boyfriend to Napoli's Italian Restaurant and it was so amazing and romantic. Not many people are eating out because of Covid-19 and so we had the restaurant to ourselves. The restaurant was very decorative and fancy inside and had an elegant feel to it's atmosphere. We ordered an appetizer of Garlic Cheese Bread which was delicious with oil and parmesan and herbs to dip your fresh tasty bread into. I ordered the Chicken Niccola which was also very delicious. The waiter was very thorough and friendly and efficient at his job as he never let us run out of any drinks. I had a wonderful time at Napoli's and can't wait to go back!! The menu has such a good variety that it may be hard to choose exactly what you finally want. I had it narrowed down to three picks and I'm sure I would have had enjoyed all of them. Put Napoli's on the top of your list. This restaurant checked all the boxes. Excellent host and wait staff. Extremely attentive when needing service and follow up. Owners are active in preparing and serving and take pride in getting to know their customers. The food was amazing on my first visit. After our order was placed, fresh made rolls with a nice blended olive oil was served. We ordered the Grilled Sea Bass and the taste was as good as the picture looks. Fresh (and that's tough to get in Iowa) moist and the unique sauce blended perfect with the fish and vegetables. The menu has many other traditional and classics that we will try in the future. The noise level was very moderate which made it great to chat without losing your voice. Normally I am not into dipping oil but this had a fantastic flavor... I did get the most expensive dessert item which was the chocolate cake @ $8.....That was a huge letdown....It is made off site somewhere and you can kind of tell...It was quite dry and lacked any real flavor....I don't think I'd paid $2 for it. read more

nice place for our special occasion (college grad) Bread rolls they bring out are OK, but the oil to dip is delicious. Tomato basil soup was creamy and good Minestrone was ok Salads were good,. we upgraded 1 to a Caesar salad, it was huge Shrimp and scallops were very good. Large shrimp and good size scallops on a bed of pasta. We had 1 with scampi sauce & 1 Alfredo both were good My only complaint on this place is the small portions of pasta, the shrimp and scallops were plenty but just throw another scoop of noodles for a few pennies. 2 boys got their own pizzas and really liked them. With 1/2 left over for midnight snack. The grad got shrimp Alfredo and liked it but again pasta portion was so tiny. so I gave him 1/2 of my fettuccine Alfredo from the tour of Italy which the lasagna & chicken parm was meh.
