A four this visit, the food is a 5/5. Zoey's is one of the reasons why I believe California can't do pizza properly. There's no comparison except maybe Zachary's which is a Chicago-style pizza as well. I normally come in off hours as the restaurant can be loud. I sat with my AirPods on for most of my meal to help drown out the noise. I love the ceiling decor but I don't think it's noise-reducing. There's enough seating for about 30 people. The people I shared a seat back with must've been involved in a royal rumble as about every 2-3 minutes I'd get a huge bump in my back from the people on the other side. When I put my hand down to slide into the booth, it was covered in crumbs. I put my hand on the table top and it had crumbs as well. I ended up asking my waiter to grab a washcloth to wipe my table as there was some food stains on it too. Someone must've cleared the table without wiping the table or seats down. My waiter was on top of things and was friendly. The pizza however, was on point as it always is. The crust was thick, buttery crunch on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. The sauce was fresh/good. The mozzarella was oozing out the sides of my slice. It was hot but not unbearably so. I love Zoey's pizza. It's on my shortlist of places I always go to when I'm in town. Fantastic restaurant. It's busy and that's what makes a good restaurant a good restaurant. The Pizza is spectacular. The Service is always great. Nice selection of beer. The Only restaurant in town to play music that doesn't hurt my ears. I order Chicago style because it's the best in town. They have been open the longest out of all the Pizzerias in Marion and Cedar Rapids, they know what they're doing. We picked up the pizza what was to our surprise was $75.97 for two pizzas. For the price of the pizza and the time waited, we had fairly high expectations. Also we had to wait another 5-10 minutes because the name was taken down incorrectly as Digy... the name was Gigi. We got home and noticed the pizza tasted as it had been left sitting out, honestly have had better frozen pizzas, the pizzas were both raw in the bottom and rather tasteless. We were in Iowa visiting family when we found Zoey's Pizzeria. When you walk in it has the old school pizzeria smell. We were seated immediately. The server recommended some local ciders which were delicious. When in Iowa you must try taco pizza. They nailed it. Great crust. Well seasoned meat and flavorful chip toppings. The server recommended getting it NewZago style. Perfect! We also got The "Zoey" Chicago style. WOW! Flavorful with amazing sauce and fresh ingredients. If you're in the area you must try Zoey's! In the last couple months this place has truly degraded. Used to be a great place to go for a good pizza with good service but now it takes over an hour to get your pizza and it's often not what you ordered. However the servers and hosts are always pleasant, so it must be a problem in the back of house. Would not recommend especially if you are in a hurry. read more

The best pizza in town! Period. Get the taco on New York thin and/or the "Zoey" in the deep dish. Really anything you get is amazing. Highly suggest the zookie if you need a little something sweet. I really had to think through this review because I want to give Zoey's 5 stars but can't get myself to do so. I'll start with all the stuff I like: Great quality ingredients! The sauce, veggies, cheese & bread - all good quality. I ate some leftovers 2 days later and still the pizza held it's quality. The restaurant is very warm and cozy. There is dim lighting at the restaurant, the music isn't too loud, the servers are very warm and friendly. Great place to go for a date night or catch up with friends. Now the things that took me aback: They don't cut the to-go pizza in slices! Why? I had to come home and figure out how to cut a hot deep dish pie. I wanted to eat the pizza asap, but oh well, I had to cut it first. Secondly, I felt the crust isn't salted well. Deep dish pizza has such amazing crust, but lack of salt really too away the pleasure of it. I know I'm comparing Chicago style deep dish from Lou Malnati with Zoey's in Marion, it's not the fairest comparison, but I do want to hold my town and it's businesses to high standards. Parking situation at the Marion square is getting worse by the day. Be prepared to park a block away to get here. We paid about $40 for a deep dish pizza and some cheesy breadsticks. It's not a $10 pie, I expect better pizza for what I paid. read more

I first went to Zoey's Pizzeria on a date with my boyfriend and it was so special and i loved the relaxed, Italian atmosphere with old movies playing on their overhead TV. I then have been back since and have even further fallen in love with their cornmeal crust and just loved the authentic style of traditional Italian pizza that we ordered at Zoey's. We ordered a large pizza called "The Zoey" which was an amazing pizza. I really love Zoey's Pizzeria and was so worried about them surviving the Derecho storm since they were closed for a while doing repairs because their kitchen roof had blown off. And I along with many of my friends were very delighted to find out that Zoey's Pizzeria was reopening. Whenever, I visit Zoey's Pizzeria, I'm always greeted with friendliness, respect, and kindness. I have sat in both their booths and at their tables and I like both equally. I love their old Italian authentic decor and their family-style atmosphere. I have had friends that have tried their giant dessert brownie/cookie with ice cream and whipped topping, and all have loved it. What a great little pizza joint in a perfect location. Bonus was the beautiful park across the street all decked out for Christmas Super casual, simple but tasty menu.
