I wanted to love this restaurant but it was average at best. The food is not bad and it's not great. The menu items that I tried were heavy, loaded with sauce and didn't have a light fresh taste. My husband and I started with the Chicken Curry Puffs and Tom Kha. For entrees we picked the Crispy Duck and the Chicken Meatballs & pineapple fried rice. The puffs were delicious and turned out to be the best item that we ordered. The soup was disappointing. I asked for it to be medium spicy and it was served super spicy. The spice overwhelmed all of the other flavors. The opposite happened with the crispy duck. We asked for spicy and it was mild and bland. They loaded the chicken meatball skewers with a sweet sauce that overpowered the flavor of the meat, peppers and onion. The best feature of the restaurant is the service. My husband & I had lunch here & the food was very good. We shared the pepper steak & pork pad Thai. The spice condiment tray is necessary, but use sparingly! Wish they had better lunch prices, but we really enjoyed the food. It also has unique decor, which made it a little more interesting. Because Thai food is among my favorites, and something that I've learned over the years to cook well, I've been accused at times of being overly critical of restaurant renditions. Truth be told, so long as the defining Thai "four pillars" balance of sweet, salty, spicy and sour is present, chef interpretations have seen me thoroughly enjoy a wide range of creative spin. In an unfamiliar Thai restaurant I'll usually order a Pad Thai dish. First, Pad Thai generally predicts how well the kitchen honors the "four pillars" of balanced Thai cuisine. Second, and most important, I genuinely enjoy a good Pad Thai. At this stage of my review I'll interject that I really liked my lunch at NaraDeva. Their preparation of Shrimp Pad Thai combined a very generous portion of properly cooked rice noodles with tamarind as the souring agent and deeply-flavored palm sugar as the sweetener. Both of these ingredients are the most common "corners cut" in pedestrian versions of Thai cuisine. An overly-restrained hand was applied to the uses of fish sauce (salinity) and cayenne powder (spice heat); both are inexpensive and readily obtainable. The result was a balance that wasn't perfect, but was pretty darn close. A half-dozen properly cooked medium shrimp rounded out a thoroughly enjoyable lunch. Service was attentive and cordial when needed, but never hovering or imposing. NaraDeva is located in a retail strip mall, yet has effectively created a calming and attractive dining atmosphere. Lunch entrees range from $9.95 for beef, chicken, pork, tofu or vegetable preparations to $12.95 for shrimp dishes or $14.95 for mixed seafood. For food this good, these prices represent a true bargain. I would gladly return to NaraDeva at any opportunity that presented itself, and recommend it highly. read more

Ordered pad kee mao n red curry as take out . The food did not have salt nor spice . It was like boiled noodles and very dry. Very disappointing to get this food and throw it away as we were traveling to Florida.Tried calling to complain n ask for refund but nobody picks up . I hadn't eaten Thai in a year now. So I searched for a close spot and found this spot. We least see what they have to offer. Well well well... It seems as I were the only one dinner there for the evening until a husband and wife arrived. I had placed my order and had been talking with the owner I suppose regarding their lack of internet service. The area of millennium mall doesn't have great internet coverage through cell phone towers. For me It is needed bad to be able check in to post a review. I order the Pa Thai seafood and dumplings. The total was 25.00 and some change and only took 10 minutes to come out super hot. However, the portion for my Pa Thai didn't justify the 25.00 price tag. 17.95: 18.00 that is. I'm sure it was 4.00 over priced. I choose to takeout on this go around. The place was empty and had a dated feel. More like a Chinese restaurant in a Publixs plaza. After arriving home and enjoying the meal. I conceded I was just hungry. Lack of flavor and seafood; I truly would seek another Thai restaurant. I have passed this place so many times and have finally tried their restaurant out. Located in the small strip of shopping across of the BJ's, NaraDeva has a quaint little restaurant on the corner full of what looks like traditional Thai themed decor. Once greeted and seated we tried their chicken wings and thought they were pretty good. Actually, we like the sauce that it was covered in more than the wings. The sauce was thin but sweet and tangy at the same time. I ordered the chicken pad see ew, which as many other Thai restaurants I've tried before, it was in a sweet soy sauce based sauce and had broccoli and onions in it. I would definitely order it again, plus it was a rather large portion. My boyfriend ordered the grilled chicken with curry fried rice. The chicken was tender and covered with the curry suace, but his favorite was their curry fried rice. We would definitely come here again and try their other dishes. Plus there is plenty of seating for being in such a small plaza, so bring family and friends! read more

This place has Thai beef jerky. So there was a restaurant in SJ that I used to go to and since we couldn't remember the name of the dish we used to call it crunchy beef. I have never found another restaurant that had this until now. What a treat, after years of going to many Thai restaurants and asking I happen to walk into this place and there it is. The flavorful little slices of beef with the side of sweet dipping chili is delish. Also had the Thai basil fried rice and some Tom kah soup and don't forget to ask for the spice rack for those times you just need a lil extra spice. I'll be coming back. read more

We eat here whenever we are in the area and crving Thai. The food and service are pretty good. The vegetables are fresh. The sauces are tasty. There are good lunch options, and the dinner menu is endless. Lunch portions are a little small. If you're there for lunch and have a big appetite, consider ordering off the dinner menu. For a few dollars more, you will get a much bigger portion. The food itself has been hit or miss. Sometimes everything is perfect, other visits, not so much. Overall we leave satisfied. read more

This Thai restaurant is probably by far one of favorites. I've been eating Thai food for a very long time, so I am no stranger to it. I have had mediocre, sketchy, and just over all bad experiences with Thai restaurants. I used to see this location all the time though and wondered how it tasted. Finally decided to give it a shot and I've been coming back ever since. The inside is decorated a little differently than I'd expect but that's okay. I have seen them super slow and a bit busy. I usually always get their curry, sometimes I try different noodle dishes, it all depends. They're pretty good about making my food to order. I don't believe I've ever had a bad experience tbh. Definitely a diehard fan. I've never had a bad meal or experience. They seat you quickly and take your drink order right away. I happened to order an appetizer with my drink order and it came out with my drink. The spring rolls (devoured before I could snap a pic ) are fresh and has the right balance of cilantro. YUM! Highly recommend as an appetizer-- especially if you're looking for something quick. I'm a creature of habit so I ordered the chicken pad thai which never disappoints. Tucked in a corner of a shopping center near Millenia Mall. Stopped by for lunch based on reviews. The staff were all very friendly. I was craving Tom Kha soup so I ordered a cup ($6) and Chicken Pad Thai ($16). I asked for the soup first then entree, unfortunately they forgot the soup and only brought out pad Thai. I told them I didn't want the soup since the pad Thai was ready, but she offered to microwave it?!?! I would say the pad Thai was ok, I was not asked for a spice level I told them medium but it had no flavor really, very disappointing based on other reviews. Maybe I just had bad luck this go round. We decided to come for valentines day for the first time and I was surprised by the good service, delicious food and cheap prices. I will definetly come back. Do I recommend this restaurant? A resounding YES! Very nice place. The waitress was very good. The food! OMG! The food was excellent. You know a Thai restaurant is authentic when you notice Asians eating and enjoying themselves. I had the chicken wings, which I shared, reluctantly, with better half. Crispy and delightfully moist. Never had better. Hubby ordered the Basil noodles and I ordered the Pad Thai. Definitely would order again. Happily had leftovers so that I may enjoy later. A must visit. It's located not to far from Millenia Mall so if you're on a shopping trip and not feeling the eats at the Mall you can just head across the road(by car) and grab something to eat. This is one of the cutest Thai restaurants that I have ever visited! The staff was super friendly and attentive, the food was brought out so fast I couldn't believe it! We visited for lunch and in less than 10 min after ordering we had our food. Pad Thai had good flavor and plenty of chicken... I have found that other Thai places will kind of skimp you on the chicken which is a bummer. We ordered the mango rice for dessert, which if you haven't had before it's a warm rice with a type of milk/cream served on top with a side of mango. Very delicious! They do have a lunch menu with a list of lunch specials to choose from. We didn't even look at the regular menu because we were both sold on ordering on pad Thai. I'd also like to note that the bathrooms were very clean.. which might not be a big deal to some but definitely always a plus in my eyes. read more

Ive dined in and ordered take out at this thai location a few times. I usually order pad thai chicken since thats usually my craving when I come to this restaurant. The food has always tasted great and their portion sizes are very filling. The staff here is usually very friendly and Ive never had a complaint, which is why Ive been back a few times. I ordered the tom yum chicken noodle soup and my boyfriend ordered the shrimp wonton noodle soup. My tom yum soup was enjoyable but it did not taste like tom yum. It was more like sweet and sour. Not spicy at all. I wasn't impressed with the service. The server did not come and check on us at all except for taking our order, bringing us our food and the check. We had also asked for some basil for the noodle soups but we were forgotten. I don't think I would care too much to return here. read more
