I've found that speaking up and asking them to go gently usually helps, and going during less busy times makes the experience even better. My partner and I especially love going there for pedicures because it feels super relaxing, and they offer drinks while you're getting serviced which is a nice touch. Overall, everyone is accommodating and good at what they do despite occasional small misunderstandings. I personally enjoy the pedicure experience the most there, but for manicures I just make sure to over communicate what works best for my nails. The polish was applied with so many thick layers that three hours later it still was tacky wet- this is after the technician used quick dry spray to help. I had my visit prepaid and they tried to leave a service off. They had to move my appointment because the person who was supposed to do one of my services walked out that day. They stopped during my massage to go call the owner to figure it out. I reached out via email to give the owner a chance to rectify the situation but never received a response. Obviously, I won't go back as they will not take responsibility for their errors and the online system is horrible. Before things turned I enjoyed going. I was able to make appointments and they were usually always running on time. The pedicures were great and my manicures were always done to my liking. The salon was always clean. But here are the reasons why I had to find a new nail salon. 1. My daughter would get her nails done from time to time. She always wanted to use my person who happen to be the owner. She liked that she paid attention to detail and liked how her craft with nails was done. So when I would make appointments for her or she would make them for herself we always asked for the owner by name. She was always placed on the schedule for her. But, when we arrived 85% of the time my daughter was pushed onto someone else. That in time upset her and me. It was as if it was because she was 15-17 at the time her requests were not important. Money is money no matter how old the person is. I felt like she was judged for her age. I taught her to tip well, and pay etc. 2. I would average my nails to be done every 10-12 days. I get anxious and will start to pick it they are growing out too much etc, or if the cuticles were getting to be out of shape. Things were fine, but after almost a year of that the owner told me she just couldn't do that anymore. She said she really needs me to do 14 days. Personally I felt like that was not harming anyone or myself to have it done every 10-12 days. There is more I could say, but I'm just not going to. My nail tech now said she understands why I want them done when I did. She also stated that it is my choice and I pay for them to be done which is my choice. 3. I would pay with a card a good portion of the time. But, one day the owner saw that ai had cash in my wallet. Her question, "Heather, why don't you pay in cash?" I replied because I chose to use my card. My cash is used for other things. Either way how I pay is how I pay. This was strike three for me.'I did not appreciate being questioned about my cash. Overall what started out good just got worse and I just wasn't enjoying myself there anymore. When I went in to cancel my appointments there was a nail tech who helped me and she was so polite and apologized but completely understood what I was feeling.
