Looking for a florist for your wedding? Kimmie's Floral Design is it! LOVED LOVED LOVED Kimmie and her team! I hired Kimmie to do the flowers for my wedding (2 years ago and recently) and it was INCREDIBLE! Keep in mind, during covid times, our dates changed many times but we decided to tie the knot in Yosemite 2 years ago. She was super flexible. 2 summers ago, the forest fires were unpredictable but we still had plans to do a ceremony in Yosemite. With no defined date/time, Kimmie offered to create a silk bouquet with all the blooms I chose. It gave us the freedom to not worry of the flowers and when the weather/area seemed safe. We hopped in the car on a "good" day and drove to get married/pictures done. After consulting with several florists, Kimmie was just thoughtful and her vision helped me paint my vision. I had no clue as to what colors or even flowers. I just know what was pretty and not. Our first consultation video call, I knew that she was the one. The level of attention to detail and service she provided was truly above and beyond. When I had to reschedule my wedding due to Covid, she was more than understanding and helped me navigate holding an event with the new restrictions. She provided stellar recommendations when it came to other vendors and helped me make wedding décor decisions outside of the flowers. She wasn't my coordinator but gave honest insight about anything and everything wedding related. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago, despite being in a worldwide floral shortage, she was able to source awesome fresh flowers. We used my silk one for the table and she created a "toss" bouquet. I was instantly thrilled when I saw my toss bouquet but responded with "NO! I can't use that as a toss. It's way to pretty." Afterwards, she surprised us with a simpler smaller toss bouquet. It was a super kind gesture and I truly appreciated it. My bridesmaid noticed that the cake came with hard weird roses. NOT WHAT WE ASKED FOR. Kimmie quickly came and saved the day. She asked if it was ok to use fresh instead. It made everything 100% better. Aside from her expertise and the depth of her industry knowledge, she is so passionate and energized by what she does. Her enthusiasm and positivity lifted me up when I would feel discouraged or unsure about the decisions I made. I knew I was in the hands of a pro and that helped takes away all my stress. THANK YOU! Thank you so much for making our day so much better. I know all my bridesmaid knows who to choose for their florist for their day. THANK YOU!!!

Kimmie did the floral arrangements for our wedding and we were extremely happy! She was professional and very helpful in the process of planning for our wedding! She walked us through everything we would need like arrangements, bouquets, corsages, boutonnières, etc. She made great suggestions such as moving our flowers from the alter to our table, and really took the time to listen to our needs and the arrangements speak for themselves!! Kimmie is very skilled and helped make our day look amazing!!! Can not recommend her enough!!

Kimmie was by far our favorite vendor to work with throughout the wedding planning process. She was very accommodating with all the changes that had to happen due to Pandemic, and she paid special attention to our budget and provided different creative solutions to lower cost. Kimmie also understood the vision for our wedding, and everything turned out even more beautiful than we could have imagined. We particularly liked how she reused all the alter arrangements on our sweetheart table. We received many compliments on the centerpieces from guests as well. Kimmie truly put us first in her floral work, and therefore we would recommend Kimmie for your next event. Thank you for everything, Kimmie!

Kimmie is amazing and very talented and accommodating! With covid weddings and lots of uncertainties, she remained very flexible with me! She even delivered my bouquet to my place and when I saw the bouquet I was just in awe! It was my dream bridal bouquet and more! I told her I wanted a bohemian style bouquet with the greeneries and florals I want in it and she made such a perfect creation! She even made a flower crown and matching boutonnières. Everything she made were perfect for my elopement in Yosemite and I'm very grateful I chose her. I got so many compliments! I highly recommend Kimmie! She's also a really cool person and answers your inquiry very promptly! :) thank you, Kimmie!

Kimmie did the florals for our October 2019 wedding at Casa Bella and she was incredible! I had a pretty specific color scheme I wanted and the day of I was shocked at how beautiful our flowers were. They turned out better than I even expected! Communicating with Kimmie was easy. We talked over email initially and then a few months before our wedding we met with her at the venue and talked through all the details. I highly recommend Kimmie to anyone that is looking for a florist for their wedding!

    Peony's for my mom.

My favorite go to place for beautiful flowers. Kimmie is great to work with and she always knows what I love. Beautiful bouquets, always! She always manages to find me peony's for my mom when no one else has them.

Kimmie did a wonderful job on my group's prom orders! This was my second year buying a corsage from her and she did a stunning job! I was very impressed with the detail in her work. I especially liked the glitter tip roses. My corsage stayed fresh the whole night. She is very friendly and easy to work with. She even makes great personal design suggestions for all price ranges. Knowing that prom is expensive, she accommodated a group rate for 10 of my friends' orders. I would highly recommend her for anyone buying corsages or boutonnières. All the corsages in this photo were made by Kimmie.

Kimmie did an awesome job at our wedding last week! I showed her pintrest pics of what I had in mind for floras and table decor and she NAILED it! The colors and theme (rustic/vintage/industrial) are EXACTLY what I wanted. She was flexible, patient with all our questions, and professional. I would definitely recommend her to others.

Kimmie did my florals for my wedding back in November 2019 at Palm Event Center and I loved everything she did. I gave her a color scheme and she worked her magic. I swear my bouquet and arch belonged in a magazine somewhere. The arch honestly made me say "wow" when I walked down the aisle. Kimmie actually included some succulents in my bouquet which I kept and they are happily growing in my garden. It's such a nice "keepsake" to have from my wedding. Kimmie is super personable and I would highly recommend Kimmie to anyone asking me if I had a florist recommendation. Kimmie is well priced and if you have a budget she will work with you to make sure your floral vision is achieved without hurting your wallet. The arch we had for our ceremony was repurposed for the reception which added the perfect backdrop for the sweet heart table. Seriously, Kimmie knows what she is doing and you will not regret having her as your florist!

Having beautiful flowers is so important because it will be in your wedding pictures forever! It can also add a lot of color and pop to your venue. I took one look at Kimmie's work and admired her unique arrangements so much and decided to send her an email! Kimmie is a straight forward, no bullshit, hard working and talented florist whom I had the honor to work with. She was the first and only florist I contacted and I trusted her to help me make decisions and let her express her creative abilities. My husband and I met with her at a coffee shop to go over our floral needs, budget, what our favorite flowers are, wedding colors, and decided to go with her right on the spot. We didn't have a ceremony venue at the time (only banquet venue) because all the awesome venues were booked and Kimmie gave us valuable tips on how to save money and suggestions on where else to look for wedding ceremony venues. Thank goodness for her suggestion, I was able to find the perfect place! We weren't able to stay within our floral needs budget because my husband and I had no idea how much shit costs and pretty much came up with a bullshit amount and we totally went over. But Kimmie did her very best to help us stay within our means and not add any unnecessary costs. When Kimmie delivered my bridal bouquet and bridesmaid bouquets at 8am the morning of my wedding, my jaw dropped! Not only did our bouquets looked stunning, she added sprigs of mint leaves to it (who would have thought to add herbs to a bouquet)! It was so different, nothing I have ever seen (and I've been Pinteresting the shit out of my page for months). My bouquet actually smelled a little minty and I loved that little detail! When I got to the ceremony venue, Kimmie had already started setting the arch and altar arrangements and they looked even more beautiful than I had imagined! There were light purple mini orchids cascading down from the arch arrangements and I absolutely loved it! The arrangements Kimmie created made my venue look 10x more expensive looking. My dad, who is very hard to impress, was IMPRESSED. Kimmie took down my arch arrangements and moved all my flowers to the banquet venue to reuse on the sweetheart table (money saved!), altar arrangements went to the entrance backdrop for photos and the extra flowers went to decorate my cake! She gave my husband an extra boutonniere because she knew the first one was gonna get squashed from all the hugging with people during the day. My husband had a fresh one to use at the banquet! Kimmie is very creative, has great attention to detail and is soooo extremely sweet to work with. When I was waiting for all the guests to arrive in the back room in my wedding dress, she brought me boba milk tea! I was sipping on boba tea moments before walking down the aisle. It was also hot as balls that day and it was the sweetest gesture a vendor can make to help me calm my nerves. I love milk tea too! I couldn't thank her enough, it's these little gestures that I appreciate and will remember for the rest of my life. I can't wait for my sister to get married, because I will force my sister to get Kimmie to do her flowers so I can be impressed all over again!

I got a flower crown to go on my graduation cap from her and I loved it! It was very windy during the ceremony and it stayed on the whole time!

    Highly recommended .

Loved my bouquet! She did such a good job and the price was reasonable. My sister in law recommended Kimmie -she was professional and once I gave her my price range she was able to work with it. I loved it so much I refused to throw my bouquet. The boutineers were elegant with white roses and succulents. I highly recommend her if you're in the Bay Area.

I don't even know where to begin. My husband and I are extremely pleased with Kimmie's work and have absolutely no regrets in having her as a florist for our wedding. Not only is she professional and creative, she is also very kind and sweet (which are qualities I look for when hiring vendors). Upon booking, Kimmie is quick in responding to emails and phone messages. During our first meeting, she was overly prepared. She asked detailed questions about our wedding we never even considered. She had sample wedding books with her to use as reference in the types of flowers we wanted. On the day of the wedding, Kimmie was not late and everything was put together so beautifully. I love the bouquets she made for me and my girls. A lot of guests also complimented on our center pieces. And even right before the alter, Kimmie saw my dad and I getting to walk out and she immediately came over to fix my train! What a sweat heart! If you are looking for a florist, look no further. Book her! You wont regret it :)

My sister is getting married. I'm taking care of her wedding bouquet. Can I just order a bouquet or does there have to be more?

But it wasn't just the beauty of the arrangements that impressed me most - it was the heart, thought, and care that went into every single piece, and that really shined through on the day of. We inquired over a year in advance after seeing Lana's work at The Club at Ruby Hill wedding open house. Lana was responsive and took the time to go over everything I was envisioning for the day, from centerpieces to arches to aisle pieces to bouquets. When I brought up the idea of a floral chandelier, Lana was so excited to bring my vision to life and work with me to create the chandelier of my dreams, which was refreshing, since some other florists I'd inquired with weren't as enthusiastic about the idea. Lana is also super transparent with pricing, going through line by line what each piece would cost, and I found her rates very reasonable for the luxurious arrangements she offers. I also loved that I'd be able to reuse my ceremony arch and aisle pieces at the reception to surround the sweetheart table, which felt very much worth it. We also got a one-hour in-person design meeting with Lana about a month before the wedding, where she prepped a sample centerpiece and made real-time adjustments to her floral recipe based on our preferences. She was so receptive and detail-oriented, going over small things like where to leave the bouquets and boutonnieres on the day of, plus all the candle and centerpiece base options we could choose from. We were feeling a little burnt out from wedding planning by that point in our lives, but Lana left us with renewed enthusiasm and excitement for our wedding. On wedding day, Lana and her team were there bright and early. I think the first sight of the florals brought me to tears. They worked hard all day to transform the venue into the pink peachy princess wedding of my dreams. The team also added smaller bud vases to my In Loving Memory table and Sweetheart table, which was such a sweet touch. Despite being so busy, Lana still took the time to secure my personal bouquet charm so it wouldn't dangle around and would stay in place. I also found out afterward that our welcome banner was falling due to the wind, and Lana took the time to secure it with rope, even though it was completely outside her scope. It really speaks to her character, and I couldn't be more grateful to Lana and the team for a perfect day. Dream Flowers really was an absolute dream to work with. I would highly recommend Lana and the team for any of your future floral needs!!

Great experience that I'd wholeheartedly recommend to anyone…read more I'm a complete idiot when it comes to flowers but Nina was more than accommodating with my ignorance. On Monday, I spent some time looking on their website to order some flowers for Friday but I was getting nowhere. So I finally decided to give up and give them a call. Nina was patient and friendly explaining what flower combinations are preferred and what's not. But there was only so much that could be explained in words over the phone. So I stopped by during my lunch break. They were very busy. There was a elderly lady in the front and another lady in the back making arrangements and there was a lot of arrangements being made. I didn't know if I could get my questions answered in time but since I was there already, I decided to wait and ask. The older lady who's name was Joanne heard my question and showed me the ready arrangements in the cooler that I could pick out and take with me immediately. When I told her it's for Friday and wanted a custom arrangement but wanted some recommendations, she deferred me to the lady making the arrangements who turned out to be Nina. I felt a bit guilty because she seemed so busy making arrangements and I was only asking questions but Nina was very friendly and accommodating. She explained my options as far as having my arrangements wrapped or placed in a vase. I could ask for any color combination I wanted (within reason and pending availability) and any flower choice preference. If I didn't have any flower or color preference, I was given the option to set a budget and trust the florist. I thanked her for her time and went back to work. After thinking it over, I called Nina back after work. I asked her for pink and peonies because that's my wife's favorite flower. I didn't know what else to ask for so I gave her a budget and request a wrap in pink and silver color. Apparently, peonies are not that readily available and I was a bit confused because I've picked up peonies from Trader Joe's before and they didn't seem that rare. But I had already placed my order so I went with it. Friday came and when I went to pick up my bouquet after work, I was completely blown away with how big it was. She showed me the flowers and the peonies in my arrangement was so much more vibrant and at least twice as big as the ones I've picked up from Trader Joe's. Maybe there's different types of peonies but I'll never buy the ones from Trader Joe's again. What a difference. The colors were exactly what I asked for down to the wrap. It was so big I didn't know how/where to place it on my car and Nina was kind enough to send one of her staff to secure it for me in my vehicle. Great experience from star up finish. It was money well spent and worth ever penny. I'll definitely do it again. My wife absolutely loved them, more than any other flowers I've bought for her, and we even had to get a larger vase to fit the bouquet.

The flowers are great! That's about the only positive thing I can offer. The staff are so…read moreridiculously rude that it feels like the flowers serve as a pittance for the trauma from enduring their abuse. I've literally been treated more warmly by the police giving me a traffic citation. Each time I've been here (a total of 3 times) i have been addressed not with indifference, but scathing condescension and disdain by both (I'm assuming Nina herself) and her aunt. Forget being treated professionally--being treated with NEUTRALITY is wildly aspirational here. It is the type of contempt typically reserved for tax collectors and dinner party guests carrying active tuberculosis. I stopped by in person to inquire about ordering flowers for Mother's Day about 10 days in advance, just to ask some basic questions. After demonstrating the audacity to inquire about baskets and differences between tiers, I was met with audible sighs and eye rolls that escalated into beratement of my ignorance. The level of unprompted venom was astonishing! Despite my unforgivable transgression of inquiring about the basket diameter of the "Country Blooms" arrangement, I hung my head and meekly submitted my order. I called a couple days later to change the time of my pickup and was immediately screamed at, with the level of hostility normally demonstrated during international war: (verbatim) "do you KNOW how many customers we have? We have HUNDREDS! You're just going to have to wait in the pickup line!" I was completely stunned by this. Okay, congrats. Nina did not consider the radical alternative of asking my last name to clarify my order. This defies reason. It genuinely feels like Nina's Flowers is trying to repel new customers. Unless you enjoy being chastised like a cowering servant in a Brontë novel, I highly recommend you spare your dignity (and money) and go literally anywhere else. EDIT: Angel's Flowers in Newark is selling the same products on their website for like half the price.

At that point in time I made peace with their response to my review and told them that we could move on. I thought that I could lay the matter to rest and focus on my family during this sad time. Four weeks after my dad's passing, I was beginning to open up again to the world, when I went to my in-laws' home. My MIL had a letter addressed to me; even she was perplexed. It was from Starr. In a gross violation of my privacy, Starr wrote me a handwritten letter using my in-laws' address from their order. In her letter Starr claimed that she did not have my information due to me declining to share it and so she used my in-laws' payment information to find her way to me. Her letter was one full page, front and back, of defending herself and telling me stories of how she is a truly exemplary employee, even staying behind at the store extra late for another order. This letter did two things: 1) it reopened my wounds from feeling like I was unseen and unheard in one of my truest moments of vulnerability and 2) showed me that she still had no awareness of the pain she had caused since she did not apologize and instead told me stories of how she treated other people better than me. I then reached back out to the manager via Yelp to ask for a phone number and good time to talk to discuss something. They told me to just call the store number and stopped responding when I asked for a good time to be sure to speak with the right person. I decided not to pursue the matter because, honestly, it hurt like hell having to deal with this on top of my grief. It has now been 3 months since my father passed, since this all started, and I tried to let it go, but I decided to write this update. Albeit delayed, I think people should know the way this matter was handled -- vindictively with self-interest and an outright disregard for the reason why people need their service in the first place. What an an absolute disgraceful display of professional conduct.
