Having beautiful flowers is so important because it will be in your wedding pictures forever! It can also add a lot of color and pop to your venue. I took one look at Kimmie's work and admired her unique arrangements so much and decided to send her an email! Kimmie is a straight forward, no bullshit, hard working and talented florist whom I had the honor to work with. She was the first and only florist I contacted and I trusted her to help me make decisions and let her express her creative abilities. My husband and I met with her at a coffee shop to go over our floral needs, budget, what our favorite flowers are, wedding colors, and decided to go with her right on the spot. We didn't have a ceremony venue at the time (only banquet venue) because all the awesome venues were booked and Kimmie gave us valuable tips on how to save money and suggestions on where else to look for wedding ceremony venues. Thank goodness for her suggestion, I was able to find the perfect place! We weren't able to stay within our floral needs budget because my husband and I had no idea how much shit costs and pretty much came up with a bullshit amount and we totally went over. But Kimmie did her very best to help us stay within our means and not add any unnecessary costs. When Kimmie delivered my bridal bouquet and bridesmaid bouquets at 8am the morning of my wedding, my jaw dropped! Not only did our bouquets looked stunning, she added sprigs of mint leaves to it (who would have thought to add herbs to a bouquet)! It was so different, nothing I have ever seen (and I've been Pinteresting the shit out of my page for months). My bouquet actually smelled a little minty and I loved that little detail! When I got to the ceremony venue, Kimmie had already started setting the arch and altar arrangements and they looked even more beautiful than I had imagined! There were light purple mini orchids cascading down from the arch arrangements and I absolutely loved it! The arrangements Kimmie created made my venue look 10x more expensive looking. My dad, who is very hard to impress, was IMPRESSED. Kimmie took down my arch arrangements and moved all my flowers to the banquet venue to reuse on the sweetheart table (money saved!), altar arrangements went to the entrance backdrop for photos and the extra flowers went to decorate my cake! She gave my husband an extra boutonniere because she knew the first one was gonna get squashed from all the hugging with people during the day. My husband had a fresh one to use at the banquet! Kimmie is very creative, has great attention to detail and is soooo extremely sweet to work with. When I was waiting for all the guests to arrive in the back room in my wedding dress, she brought me boba milk tea! I was sipping on boba tea moments before walking down the aisle. It was also hot as balls that day and it was the sweetest gesture a vendor can make to help me calm my nerves. I love milk tea too! I couldn't thank her enough, it's these little gestures that I appreciate and will remember for the rest of my life. Flowers are one of those things that can really accentuate your wedding. A lot of people like to go DIY or order a bunch from Costco and set up on their own... but when it comes down to it, time is money and honestly, quality is money too. A friend had recommended me to Kimmie and I have seen her work through weddings and also her popular HK bouquets that she's well known for. My cousin and another friend both used her for their weddings so when it came time to finding a florist for my wedding, I didn't look at anywhere else and went straight to Kimmie. When we met up to go over the logistics, she had came prepared with her portfolio and magazines to ask me what I wanted and had envisioned. We went over my budget, the types of flowers that were within my budget and what we could keep/take out when it came to the floral arch, the centerpieces, and the bouquets. On the day of the wedding, I had so many people came up to tell me how beautiful my bouquet was and how the arch at the ceremony was so pretty. I remember walking down the aisle, seeing the arch with the side pieces thinking "WOW, this is better than I imagined it to be" (check photos that I've uploaded to show the beautiful arch!). She also managed to take everything from the ceremony and bought it to the reception and redecorated and reused everything there. My reception was at a Chinese restaurant and so she was able to really make it more elegant and classy with all of the lovely flowers. I've been pretty lousy when it comes to giving flowers. Some examples: 'Hey baby, here's 2 dozen roses. Also, here's a hot dog and soda. They're both from Costco' 'Hey baby, I got you some flowers. I saved money using my club card at Safeway' So I finally decided that my girlfriend deserved a nice floral arrangement and I noticed at my UCI graduation people were getting these huge bouquets with lots of baby's breath and girly frilly stuff. I did some research and I found out they're called 'asian, hong kong style rose bouquets'. Apparently, they aren't that well known in the bay until I saw Kim's ad at Cafe Zen in Fremont. We communicated mostly through email to set up the order and she was very helpful throughout the whole process. I kept changing the pick up times, but she was very patient with me. I ordered a round 1/2 dozen roses with all the trimmings. It was beautiful and my girlfriend was surprised and she loved it. The thing that's great about the bouquet is that each rose has those water tubes at the end and she arranged them so they stand up own their own as if they're in a vase and she gives directions on how to preserve them after they've dried up. Different colors, different or missing flowers. Late by over 3 hours. It was a good thing that we had planned a morning delivery for our late afternoon/evening wedding. If I could do 0 or negative stars, I would. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone. After trying to get a refund for not getting the flowers that we had chosen, she gave us about 10% back. We were not satisfied with this, and requested something more substantial. She eventually just stopped responding to us. No storefront means we have no other means to get this resolved. I received a hand delivery of 2 dozen honk kong style rose bouquet at my house last year. They were amazing and the colors were vibrant! My bouquet consisted of red roses and purple/blu-ish colored wraps. Glitter was added as a detailed decor on the edges of the rose petals, which made it more special. Kimmie was so great and easy to work with! Me and my friends did a group order of corsages, boutonnieres, and garters with her for our Junior prom. We had 22 orders! Everything looked so great and other people's corsages fell apart throughout the night but the ones made by her didn't. Our corsages and boutonnieres also stood out because she was able to glitter dip the roses! It all turned out so pretty and I'm glad that Kimmie gave me one less thing to stress about for prom. Kimmie was so cooperative with all the changes I wanted to make and it came out absolutely fabulous. The only concern I had was that the corsage fell apart throughout the night.
