Oodles of toilets. You can stretch your legs and detrash your car. Ok to walk your pet in the designated area.

Review on Rest Area? Sure, why now. My written reviews can't be all about food. I visited this location on the way home from NY. Why do I need to do these reviews? First of all, it's got a decent size grass area where I can let our fur babies do their business and not worry about other dogs since the grass field is wide open. Second, the bathrooms are nice and clean. Some of the rest stops we visited were not well maintained. As a matter of fact, some places are just nasty. But this place is well-managed, and the restrooms are clean. Lastly, there are plenty of parking spots. You can always find a place to park. A few places we visited were so busy with limited parking spaces. People had to park on the side and wait for people to leave, just like when you go to the malls. It's a nice place to stop in if you are ever on a road trip on I-95.

Clean and easy access. No frills or other amenities though. So don't expect food or gas.

A nice North Carolina rest area while traveling north on I-95. North Carolina has 8 rest stops along I-95, 4 on the northbound side and 4 on the southbound side. There seemed to be plenty of parking. The truck area is closer to the road (to the left as you exit) and the car parking is to the right. The car-with-trailer parking is also to the left before the regular car parking. According to the NC website, their rest areas are..., "Open 24 hours a day, every day, North Carolina's highway rest areas offer opportunities for convenient, brief stops and provide easy roadside access to public restrooms and drinking water. Most also have vending machines." This was a very clean area with lots of trees and shade without limiting your view across the area. The outside area was well maintained. There were 2 single-story brick buildings between the car and the truck parking lot. One held the restrooms and the other had some vending machines. Both were very clean and well-kept with an entrance atrium in each structure. The restrooms were tiled and very clean. Overall, it was a good area to stop for a break while driving north on I-95.

I don't five star rest areas often but this one rocked. I've never seen or smelled one that was this amazingly clean. Very well done, VDOT. Plenty of parking, a reasonable choice in vending machines that were not too expensive (Pepsi seems to have the contract here) and clean rest rooms. I approve. [Review 11747 overall, 1529 of 2019.]

This is a nice rest stop in NC. Plenty of parking and restrooms. Separate parking areas for trucks, cars with trailers and cars as the size of the parking spaces are different for each. This particular rest stop does not allow pets and nor is there a designated pet walking area outside. The bathrooms are clean but the soap dispenser is the push type - it would have been nice to have a hands-free one given current times. There are notices to keep a mask on and maintain 6ft - I noticed everyone following that here as well. This stop also has a vending area with well stocked machines. A good stop for weary travelers and especially those driving with a trailer!

NC has provided another well-stocked, well-lit, easily accessible rest stop! We love traveling into the Carolinas because it's like they have a competition between rest stops! This one has a particularly clean and well-stocked vending area, and their air conditioned restrooms are super clean. Always a pleasure!! Thanks NC!!!

This rest area is located about a mile or two north of the U.S. 64 interchange. This is located near Roanoke Rapids, NC and is about 40 miles from the Virginia state line. This was a nice rest area to visit. The restrooms and the building as a whole were well maintained and clean. There is a separate building for vending to the left of the main building. Although this was a nice rest area, we didn't stay long as the temperature was already below freezing at this location, and we were still headed further north at the time. There was plenty of space to walk around and stretch your legs before getting back on the road again. Overall, this was a very nice and well maintained rest area. If your travels take you this way, this place is worth stopping into, even if it is for a brief visit.

This rest area is located on southbound I-95 at mile marker 47 in Cumberland County, North Carolina, near Fayetteville. It serves as the southernmost rest stop in the state before crossing into South Carolina, making it a convenient final pause for travelers heading south. I have stopped here many times on numerous trips over the years, and it has consistently impressed me with its upkeep and amenities. The layout is thoughtful, with separate parking sections for cars and large trucks to ensure safety and organization. Interestingly, the truck parking is positioned closer to the highway, while the car parking is situated farther back, reducing noise for passenger vehicles. There always seems to be plenty of parking available, even during busier travel periods, which is a relief on long drives. The parking areas are centered around two single-story brick buildings that give the site a sturdy, welcoming feel. One building houses the restrooms, which are always clean, well-stocked, and functional, with modern fixtures and good lighting. Adjacent to it is the vending area, offering a selection of snacks, drinks, and quick refreshments for those needing a pick-me-up without leaving the interstate. The entire grounds are impeccably maintained, free of litter both inside the facilities and outside in the parking lots and green spaces. One standout feature is a very nice plaque dedicated to NCDOT employees who were killed in the line of duty--a poignant reminder to drive carefully and appreciate the efforts that keep our roads safe. Adding to the appeal, there are picnic benches scattered on both sides of the car driveway, providing spots to stretch your legs or enjoy a quick meal. Some tables are shaded under trees or canopies for comfort on sunny days, while others are open for those who prefer the sun. The shaded areas make it especially pleasant during warmer weather, and the overall landscaping contributes to a serene atmosphere amid the highway hustle. This rest area isn't overly fancy, but it excels in the basics: cleanliness, convenience, and a touch of thoughtfulness. Overall, it is a very nice rest area that always seems well maintained, and I highly recommend it to fellow travelers needing a reliable break on their journey through North Carolina. Enjoy.

Upon arrival, I was told that the room that the app reserved for me was not yet available. No big deal so I took another room. The beds here are the worst I've ever slept on. I could not sleep very well because you can hear everyone else on your floor every time they make a move. When I finally decided to get out of bed because I realized there is no comfortable position, I realized that trying to find a way to sleep only hurt my back during the night. Instead of a nice relaxing evening in a hotel room on the road, I received a stressful night of loud noises and a bed from hell!! The bathroom door would not stay completely open because of the hair dryer and towel hanging pegs. This makes it difficult to enter and exit the bathroom without bumping the door. There was no snacks to purchase in the lobby. The staff was nice but I believe one of the ladies that helped me just started so this lead to a much longer check in process. Limited parking due to construction equipment. The front awning was blocked off for some reason. The place appears to be under renovation. The room I was in appeared to be recently renovated but I truly hope I'm wrong. I will avoid this place in the future. Life is too short to waste money like this. If this review sounds like I'm bouncing all over the place it's due to a lack of sleep and extreme discomfort from staying here. AVOID-FOR YOUR OWN WELL BEING!!

Yes it was a small inconvenience but very small. Front desk service from J'Quan was spot on. Room was spacious and clean. Bed comfortable. Bathroom was just fine.
