We stopped here for some snacks and a bathroom break. The facilities were clean. They had a vending area with coffee, drinks and snacks. They had a huge parking lot and plenty of picnic tables. Great stop area!

Nash rest area. I-95 southbound. Odd to review a rest area but a positive shout out to the staff here. It is one of the cleanest I have ever seen.

A very nice rest area headed south on I-95 a few miles into the state. There are six rest areas on I-95 in North Carolina, with three on each side of the highway. They are at Milemarkers 47, 99, and 142. The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) operates and maintains the rest areas. They typically have public restrooms, telephones, vending machines, picnic areas, and barbecue grills. It is important to note that North Carolina prohibits overnight parking at rest stops, and parking periods are limited to four hours.. The Nash county rest area is the MM 142 location. It is an easy exit and entrance off the right side of the road. As you exit, truck parking is to the left and car and trailer parking is to the right. Parking is right in front of the two structures. As described above, this stop has plenty of parking, vending and restrooms. One structure is for vending and the other is for the restrooms. The restrooms and grounds were clean and well kept and have pavilions and open areas behind buildings and between all the parking lots. OVerall, this is a good place to stop as you are travelling southbound on the interstate.

This rest area is located southbound on I-95 between Petersburg/Richmond and Fayetteville but is close to the intersection with US-64 that would take you to the Raleigh/Durham area. It was spotless clean and extremely convenient as a tremendous rainstorm came out of nowhere (literally blue sky) and I did not want to be driving when I could not see more than a few hundred feet ahead. Restrooms, vending, picnic tables and places to walk your dog. There's plentiful car parking and truck parking but not a lot of spaces that would be in shade. There is a corresponding rest area on the other side of the highway for Northbound traffic. [Review 11804 overall, 1586 of 2019.]

This rest area is located along Interstate 95 heading south in Rocky Mount, NC. This is the first rest area in NC heading south since the welcome center at the state line with Virginia is closed for renovations. My visit here was on July 25, 2019. This rest area has the amenities that one would look for at a rest area. Inside the main building includes the restrooms, as well as a map of the state. The restrooms were fine on this visit. I didn't see any workers there when in the restroom, but it did look like they would need to soon come in and do their cleaning. The building next to the main building is the vending building, where you can get drinks and snack items from those machines. You can pay with cash, debit card or credit card. However, the cost is 10 cents higher when using a debit or credit card instead of cash. They also have some outdoor space to rest as well. There are some picnic tables, as well as space to walk around for yourself or with your pets. Overall, this rest area covered the bases on what was needed for this stop. I was able to use the restroom and stretch my legs before heading back on the road again. If you do need to take a break, this place is okay. I think you will find this place to be busier than normal until they get the welcome center reopened.

This isn't the nicest rest stop. It is semi clean and it isn't interesting like some of the rest. Still, it isn't bad and there is an ample amount of parking. There is a concession area different from the restrooms.

    Vending machines galore.

We have been burning up the road to visit my grandma who was ill. Lots of time spent at rest areas. This was is always clean and well lit. It is usually super busy. If I have a complaint or is the vending machines, I really would love an old fashion refrigerated one with a ham and cheese. I am probably asking too much.

Very clean. Great for a quick stop on any road trip. Vending machines for snacks/drinks. Clean restrooms including family bathrooms. Beautiful scenery.

Clean, safe and free. Easy entry and exit from i-95. Glad these are available. You couldn't ask for anything more in a highway rest stop.

This rest area is located on southbound I-95 at mile marker 47 in Cumberland County, North Carolina, near Fayetteville. It serves as the southernmost rest stop in the state before crossing into South Carolina, making it a convenient final pause for travelers heading south. I have stopped here many times on numerous trips over the years, and it has consistently impressed me with its upkeep and amenities. The layout is thoughtful, with separate parking sections for cars and large trucks to ensure safety and organization. Interestingly, the truck parking is positioned closer to the highway, while the car parking is situated farther back, reducing noise for passenger vehicles. There always seems to be plenty of parking available, even during busier travel periods, which is a relief on long drives. The parking areas are centered around two single-story brick buildings that give the site a sturdy, welcoming feel. One building houses the restrooms, which are always clean, well-stocked, and functional, with modern fixtures and good lighting. Adjacent to it is the vending area, offering a selection of snacks, drinks, and quick refreshments for those needing a pick-me-up without leaving the interstate. The entire grounds are impeccably maintained, free of litter both inside the facilities and outside in the parking lots and green spaces. One standout feature is a very nice plaque dedicated to NCDOT employees who were killed in the line of duty--a poignant reminder to drive carefully and appreciate the efforts that keep our roads safe. Adding to the appeal, there are picnic benches scattered on both sides of the car driveway, providing spots to stretch your legs or enjoy a quick meal. Some tables are shaded under trees or canopies for comfort on sunny days, while others are open for those who prefer the sun. The shaded areas make it especially pleasant during warmer weather, and the overall landscaping contributes to a serene atmosphere amid the highway hustle. This rest area isn't overly fancy, but it excels in the basics: cleanliness, convenience, and a touch of thoughtfulness. Overall, it is a very nice rest area that always seems well maintained, and I highly recommend it to fellow travelers needing a reliable break on their journey through North Carolina. Enjoy.

Upon arrival, I was told that the room that the app reserved for me was not yet available. No big deal so I took another room. The beds here are the worst I've ever slept on. I could not sleep very well because you can hear everyone else on your floor every time they make a move. When I finally decided to get out of bed because I realized there is no comfortable position, I realized that trying to find a way to sleep only hurt my back during the night. Instead of a nice relaxing evening in a hotel room on the road, I received a stressful night of loud noises and a bed from hell!! The bathroom door would not stay completely open because of the hair dryer and towel hanging pegs. This makes it difficult to enter and exit the bathroom without bumping the door. There was no snacks to purchase in the lobby. The staff was nice but I believe one of the ladies that helped me just started so this lead to a much longer check in process. Limited parking due to construction equipment. The front awning was blocked off for some reason. The place appears to be under renovation. The room I was in appeared to be recently renovated but I truly hope I'm wrong. I will avoid this place in the future. Life is too short to waste money like this. If this review sounds like I'm bouncing all over the place it's due to a lack of sleep and extreme discomfort from staying here. AVOID-FOR YOUR OWN WELL BEING!!

Yes it was a small inconvenience but very small. Front desk service from J'Quan was spot on. Room was spacious and clean. Bed comfortable. Bathroom was just fine.
