This store is kind of an unsung hero for me, it advertises having warhammer stuff a little bit, but…read morethey have so much more if you are more into the painting and building side of the hobby. First off, they have an insane amount of actual kits themselves, with a HUGE selection of kill teams and many of the newer battleforce boxes. More importantly though, they stock the traditional Citadel and Army Painter, but to my surprise, They also carry multiple waves of Dunchan Rhodes Two thin coats, and Vallejo Model, express, and game color. These brands are pretty difficult to find here in Nashvillle or the surrounding area, so seeing them here is a welcome surprise to someone like me who is big into the painting hobby and Two thin coats is my personal favorite paint brand, SO I felt I needed to write up a review to let people know for future reference.

This place didn't make us feel weird or awkward. They're very kind and are happy to help you with questions about the game or cards you're looking for. I was highly impressed with the variety of boosters they had, and their case had some incredible singles (sadly I'll never afford most). The only thing I missed is being able to comb through singles myself. Here they have them in the back and you need to know ahead of time what you're looking for. Other than that, no complaints and we will definitely be back!

You are about to experience the awe and mystery of, The Outer Limits! You've been seeking an experience. An adventure. Well, now you've found it. The Outer Limits is out there alright. But not so much for the hoard of Pokémon Trainers, who flock to this establishment to engage in the fantasy world of playing and trading. For them this is serious fun. For I, as an observer, it's a one of a kind experience to delve into the mysterious world, and minds, of my new friends. On my visit the store was packed to the Limits. From the Outer portion, to the inner sanctum. That's where games were afoot. The participants paid no attention to this pathogen who looked over shoulders in an attempt to make sense of what the eyes were taking in. Make sense? I couldn't. But it was fun watching the ones who knew what they were doing, enjoying themselves. Each digging into their prerequisite backpacks, ferreting through their game pieces in an attempt to gain advantage. At least that's what I think they were doing. I have no idea as to the process, or for that matter, the outcome. But what I do know, all were having a blast, albeit in a controlled intellectual way. I had a blast too. I admire this sect of game followers, these who dwell on the fringes. They're in their own world. One fraught with challenges of the game, as the real world meanders. In the game, they're in control. We on the outside looking in, can only watch in awe, and wonder. If it's collectable that you're interested in, it's here. Comics, cards, and weird doll things (you know what they are, me, I just shrug the shoulders). Enter the Outer Limits, where Reality ends and fantasy begins. Quick Tip: The card prices seem to be fair. But I have no perspective from which to judge. I being a sports card collector and not fantasy. I can only fantasize that one day I'll come across a rare Mickey Mantle for cheap. I wouldn't know a Pikachu Illustrator from a Alpha Black Lotus. Hmm...could those be the ones I used as drink coasters?

I would say that if you are completely new to collecting you might end up here on accident…read more They seem to be a little sketchy and shady on some stuff, especially with Pokemon. The service is fine, but the value you receive for the selling compared to what they expect in pricing is kind of ridiculous. I would be a little cautious on going here.

The first terrible experience was in October with Kaitlyn from florals who was called to help with the registers since a line was forming. When I went up to her register her expression was annoyed and she was mumbling unkind things under her breath as if I couldn't hear her. It was loud enough that I could. I told her I'd wait for the other cashier. She proceeded to slam baskets and take out her unwarranted aggression out on items at the register before stomping away clearly very angry. I told the assistant manager Makenzie about this hoping to not have to leave a review like this. Now today, another team member named Gypsy (who up until this point was fairly nice) had a terrible attitude. Maybe she was having a bad day. I asked her to wrap up an item I was purchasing and she huffed and did so with a negative attitude as if this ask was a bother. It was an item that could be easily scratched. Toward the end of my purchase I asked where I could place the empty basket in an effort to help her and she condescendingly rolled her eyes and said "where you got it". Her tone and the way she said was unfriendly and had so much attitude. It was unprofessional to say the least. It's a shame that I have to leave this review and that this contempt and negative attitude towards customers is seeming to be a common occurrence. I'm not sure what's happening at this location to make employees so angry at customers just looking to make their purchases and be on their way. At this time I cannot recommend this store as having quality and friendly customer service.

She found McKay's online and it seemed to be the best place to do that. Wow -- we were not prepared for the massiveness of this super, super busy place! Being our first time and not knowing how it all worked, it didn't take us long to figure out where to go and what to do. There wasn't much of a line when we started. We placed her books in a bin, then waited to be called by a greeter. Our greeter quickly explained the process, gave the daughter a claim ticket, then we waited. In the 40 minutes it took for her claim number to come up on the screen, we were able to walk through most of the sections and pick out a couple things to buy. I was quite surprised to find so many things beyond books -- DVDs, VHS, vinyl records, CDs, cassette tapes, clothing, Pokémon cards, instruments, game consoles, accessories, Legos, toys, comic books, etc. It was seriously amazing. My daughter decided to take her sale in trade which gave her about 50% more to spend. For the books they didn't buy she was given the option to take them back or donate them there. She chose to donate. The husband loves old movies, art and music -- he will absolutely enjoy McKay's. I can't wait to bring him here! The parking lot is as massive, so I don't think there's ever an issue with that.

There's no pricing system based on book condition, which would be nice. You may find a book in fair condition and pay the same amount for the same book in excellent condition.
