I haven't been to Nashoba in at least 15 years. Went here yesterday afternoon and had a wonderful time! It was a very hot day, but there was a cool breeze. We arrived around noon w out a tasting reservation but got lucky there were spots available. We were greeted by a very friendly staff member outside and told us they had a jazz fest going. Music later and complimentary Mardi Gras necklaces etc! We went into the shop for our tasting. Gift shop and wines etc so nicely done arranged available for purchase.. We had a seat at the tasting bar and had a wonderful time choosing and tasting wine and spirits. I love how u can mix and match and try wine spirits beer and canned mixers. $16 pp including a wine glass. We added a cheese cracker plate for $8. Cheese was yummy! Loved it. Attentive and knowledgeable staff. The pours were once ounce and they did feel on the smaller side, and would have preferred a tasting w a bit more but that's just me! Highly recommend, will do the wine tour next time. We had reservations at J's Restaurant which was excellent. Afterwards we sat at a table to listen to the live jazz music. There was a QR code to order food and drinks. Will definitely give that a try next time. Beautiful location and staff always smiling. read more

I brought my dog to go check out a new place and listen to some live music. I had a drink with their blueberry wine while sitting on one of the surplus of picnic tables with umbrellas. Ordering was simple with the QR code they provided and the fig prosciutto grilled cheese was delicious. Staff was friendly and loved stopping to say hi to my dog. I've been going to this beautiful winery for a couple years now and my most recent visit was on Labor Day with a friend. I was pleasantly surpirsed to get seated with no reservation for a party of 2. I do recommend having a reservation though as it can get busy. The atmosphere is great for people who like sitting outdoors on a nice day as there are a ton of tables with umbrellas to keep people cool. You are able to scan a QR code to order anything off the menu and the service is great as the staff brings you the drinks to your table. For food they will text you when to pick up from kiosk. As for the drinks my friend and I both got the sangria, raspberry bellini, and fall sampler. All of the drinks were really refreshing and worth the price. The charcuterie and pretzel bites we got were also great for a nice winery day and the menu is pretty expansive so I want to try some other items in future visits. There were a lot of bees at some of the tables near where I sat and they often crowed the drinks and food so that it something to note. I definitely plan to come back next summer! read more

We had a wonderful time at Nashoba Valley Winery and Distillery. Reservations are strongly encouraged, and we were glad we made one. In the tasting room, we were given 8 one-ounce pours, and while we found the red wines to be better than the whites, the variety was enjoyable. We also sampled some of their spirits, which require two tokens. The vodka was especially good. Josh, who helped us in the tasting room, was fantastic--friendly, knowledgeable, and full of great recommendations. He really took good care of us and made the experience memorable! The tasting room is spacious, clean, and inviting. The outdoor area is really nice to have lunch or dinner on a warm day. After our tasting, we had lunch at J's restaurant, also on the grounds, and we had a reservation there too. The food was great! We tried the Banh Mi (not traditional and spelled wrong on the menu "Bahn", but we appreciated the creative spin--it was very tasty), the chicken tenders, and the pretzel, all of which were delicious. We also ordered wine from the shop but were unable to open it at lunch. We had to order bottles through the restaurant and they charge extra for that to open it, stating they need to track consumption. This was one disappointment. Overall, we had a great time and would return. If you're a fan of red wines and well-crafted spirits, this place is worth a visit! read more

It's always a good time visiting this winery. It's a drive from the city but it is so worth it. I like that they offer a verity of beverage options. So there is something for everyone. The price is reasonable for their tasting and gives you the opportunity to try up to 8 different beverages. There is a selection of foods to order from their menu. This time around they had vendors and a food truck, which was really nice. The food from the food truck was delicious! There was also a live band playing. The service is always great. The staff treated our large group very well. It wasn't as busy as other times I've been but they do have lots of seatings outside and inside to accommodate different party size. Another huge plus is that they don't only do beverages. There are seasonal harvest activities. I've been there for apple picking. The fan favorite was a great option to try a sample of the different wines they have. The Sauvignon blanc and peach wine was my favorite. I like a sweeter wine so I recommend getting the peach. The service was immediate and all the staff were very friendly. They had apple cinder donuts which you have to get. They were so warm and sugary perfect for a Sunday afternoon. Came here for a wine tasting and we were very pleasantly surprised by the pricing and the wine. You get 8 tokens and a free souvenir wine glass for $16. We also got a cheese board which included delicious cheeses (our favorite was the Gouda) and fresh slices of honeycrisp apples from the orchard. We were able to sample multiple reds and whites, some canned drinks, and a whiskey. My favorites included the renaissance and cab sav for reds, the seyval blanc for whites, mead, and the autumn mule and blueberry lemon canned drinks. The staff were friendly and pretty knowledgeable about the selections. We ended up getting a few bottles, which for the most part are $20-25 which is ridiculously cheaper than CA wines. The grounds are fun to walk around as well, and you can pick your own apples. The day we went the picnic tables were literally all booked and it was beautiful out. read more

We all had a healthy amount of sips. We also had a small cheese plate to nib on. I'd say they can do a little more but that's ok. After the tasting, we went to relax outside at one of the picnic tables. We ordered food and enjoyed a relaxing afternoon. Their chicken tender and fries were one of the best I've had. The flatbread seemed alright, nothing special. Will definitely go back. The only drawback was the woman that greeted us in the store must not be a morning person. She's not welcoming at all. This is the perfect place to go if you want to get out of the city for the day. My group did the 8 wine samples for $16, which allowed us to try a bunch of different types of wine. There was a big indoor area where we sat, but it was also cool to check out the surrounding grounds. Since we were hungry, we also ordered and split a bunch of munchies, which were pretty solid. In terms of the wine samples, be prepared for pretty small pours. However, it was still fun and I got a tiny buzz after all. The staff was knowledgeable about the wine varieties and they were happy to help us make our selections. Good drinks and service, no outside food. I have been coming to Nashoba Valley Winery for years now. They have a spectacular variety of wines, liquors and beers to choose from. Their beverage offerings really run the gamut, and are worth stopping in to peruse. I particularly like the fruit wine here, and always make it a point to get a bottle. Their property is very large and has planted vines and fruit trees on the farm. In the store you will find their products, a bar, and a restaurant. They also have a huge event space and tasting room that demonstrates some very nice wood beam construction. They offer glasses and bottles as well as guided tastings, and another tasting system where you buy tokens that can be exchanged at different rates for a taste of one of their products. This system can be frustrating and a bit disjointed (lots of getting up and down and exchanging tokens). They do allow you to buy more tokens to try more drinks, and you even get to keep your glass! Service is wonderful as always. The staff are very attentive and kind to the visitors. I will comment that Nashoba does not allow outside food. This can be very disappointing if you plan on bringing your own charcuterie. They do offer food on a limited menu. This can be disappointing for picky eaters, but they do try to offer a variety of items for everyone to enjoy. Definitely make a trip out here for some delicious drinks!! read more

On the spur of the moment looking for something different to do on a beautiful New England Fall day, we took a drive to visit this winery (about an hour drive from Northwest RI). Beautiful scenery, nice retail shop offering their beers, wines and spirits. The wine tasting was $16 for 8 pours and they have plenty of wines to taste. I enjoyed the steel casked Chardonnay and the cab franc (both of which I bought bottles yo take home!). The apple wines were very tasty too. Owen who poured for us was very personable and knowledgeable. You also get to keep the wine glass (and it's not one of the small tasting glasses, it's really nice and "etched" on both sides!). The place is beautiful, they have food and wine, beer and spirits. You can sit on the deck or lawn. You scan a code, and someone brings your order. They are really nice employees the ID check girl gave me a smile face sticker. The tasting: Lots to choose from. You have 45mins and 8 tokens for 17$. They have so many selections to choose from. Some of my favorites were the blueberry merlot, overlook rose, and Cy-something its a white. Actually just ask Jill. That lady will learn your palet after 2 tastings, she will give you a recommendation. There were 3 of us all with different tastes for wine. She got all 3 of us right. The seating in the tasting room is weird and sucks to sit. They gotta come with something better. Us thick ppl don't fit on those seats. But the ambiance is nice. My husband and I stopped by this quaint winery on our way back from a weekend trip. It is a bit off the beaten path with a dirt road leading down to the site. It really didn't look like much until we walked inside the winery itself. They had a surprising selection of local wines of all types and offered tastings throughout the day in a beautifully maintained bar atmosphere. Next door they have a large room with windows on all sides where you can have a light meal at a cocktail table and do either a tasting or get wine by the glass. We listened to an acoustic guitar guitarist who plays in that spot every weekend. The wines were delicious! I sampled two reds and two whites. I will definitely go back! read more

We walked in on a Friday afternoon to do a wine sampling. We were able to share a wine tasting which was helpful for me as I am a light drinker. Nashoba Wine Valley is very pretty during the fall. They have a beautiful outdoor space where there are lawn chairs and picnic tables all around the property. Their wines were great, but their bourbon was outstanding! I am not a big beer drinker, but I am sure their beer is equally as impressive. I came here Thursday night for wine tasting. The store is really big with lots of wine bottles for sale. The tasting room was in the back of the building and I bet it's alot of fun on a weekend when it's busy. Amanda poured our wines. She was very friendly and knowledgable. There are choices for everyone, mead, wine, beer and liquor. I loved the Estate Cab Franc. I liked the Cabernet Sauvignon the new wave gin. This place was really cute. My friends and I did the wine tour. It was $20 dollars you get to taste 5 different wines. Our tour guide was great and really knew a lot about their wines and the wine making process. Every wine we tried was so good, and I'm not even a big red wine drinker and I thought they were great. The raspberry dessert wine was so good, I could have easily drank the whole bottle. You also get to keep the wine glass they give you the wine tasting in and it's really nice. We are huge fans of fall ... and applepicking. This is the first week that it's actually felt like fall. No leaves changing yet but we read on many sites that apples are becoming more scarce, so we decided to head out despite the foliage still being green. We had planned to go to another orchard but as we drove by, this looked so picturesque that we decided to stop here instead. Pro-tip ... reservations are required for both apple picking and lunch in their beautiful outdoor area. However, walk-ins are welcome if there is space. We arrived around 2 p.m. and had no issue buying a bag (well ... other than the $40 price!! Just a few years ago it was $20!). They check your temperature for apple picking (a placebo precaution), masks are required at all times (not a placebo precaution) and they scan your ID for the outdoor restaurant. We felt safe, although most of the crowd here was in their 20's, so social distancing is not a thing with that crowd. We didn't see many families with young kids at all which was strange. Instead, the orchard looked like a J Crew catalog. The orchard is small because they rope off certain sections. The trees are small-ish ... around 8 feet. There were about 20 rows open and 3 varieties available for picking. We were dissapointed Courtland was unavailable and the golden delicious were roped off. We got some small-ish MacIntosh and a few red delicious. There were no big apples, they were all small/medium sized, which will make peeling them for pies a chore. The apples also seemed like they needed 1-2 more weeks to ripen. We filled our bags fairly quickly ... and then we headed to the outdoor area to see if they could accommodate walk-ins. They were able to take us at 3 p.m. The menus are only scanned and there are no waitresses. You order online and someone brings you your food in a bag and glasses of wine. Everything ran smooth and the scenery is beautiful on a nice day. I really can't emphasize how pretty and socially distant the vibe is. You can only get a table if you are eating lunch ... not for wine drinking, which is kind of a bummer because our food was not great. I'd much prefer to get wine next time. Or at least wine and desserts. They were sold out of the cheese plate, which is what we all wanted ... and it was cold food only. I had the avocado strawberry salad which was served with this sugary sweet pink dressing. It was one of the worst salads I've had. The bean burrito was bland and blah. The tuna salad croissant was loaded with tuna but it was underdressed and smelled and tasted way too fishy. The prices were pretty crazy ... $16 for a small Italian sandwich ... most menu items were in the $15-$20 range and wines which sell for $12-$15 per bottle in the store were $9 per glass. Overall, we reminded ourselves that we were paying for the scenery and vibe, over the food. In fairness, one out of 4 people did like what he ordered. We were worried about apple picking this year and wanted to avoid a place crawling with tourists and children. We were pleased by how easy the process was here and how socially distant and safe everything felt. Its a beautiful property ... maybe less 'farmstand-y/rustic' than some would prefer. But overall, a good spot to apple pick. Just make reservations in advance online to ensure you are able to go. If not for the icky food ... I'd have given 5 stars. read more

Had a great afternoon at Nashoba Winery! Pre purchased wine tasting tickets for a Friday afternoon. Was planing on staying for the food truck, but they cancelled due to weather. It was a passing rain storm. Received 8 tokens for tasting, can use for wine, beer, or spirits. 1-2 tokens per taste. Great way to check out their offerings. After we enjoyed a bottle on the patio. You order via a QR code, and the bottle is brought to you. Food was available at the outdoor restaurant. Don't skip on apple picking, the apples were great! Orchard is well marked plenty of varieties. Beautiful grounds. Foliage just starting to peak through. I'm sure it's busy on the weekends but a Friday was a great time to visit. I am sorry, I was disappointed visiting Nashoba. If you are not a wine connoisseur, you will be freaking lost looking at the tasting menu and the staff is of absolutely no help. They way tasting works here is, they hand you 5 coins and a tasting menu for you to choose. You are on your own and they don't flipping care to explain anything. Wines = 1 or 2 coins, Vodka or couple of other spirits = 2 or 3 coins. So, you are torn not knowing how to pick with no help. Plenty of outdoor seating and the outdoor wine tasting counter is beautiful. They do have a cafe and the food is very average and not worth the $$. I don't think I am coming back here. read more

I went to Nashoba in the past, but I haven't been there for a while and will not be going back. I went there with my wife and got there at 11 when they opened. We went to go inside and were inundated by people telling us that we have to check in to get a table. Many of the tables were marked reserved for times like 2 or 2:30 and we were told we cannot use them because they were reserved. I went to the bar and got 2 cups of wine which were $25. we went to sit in the Adirondack chairs and were told again that we need to get a reservation for a table. i went inside to get some crackers and cheese and a beer and at checkout I was told I could not have the beer as I had to buy it at the bar outside. I asked If we could get food and go into the vineyard, but were told we could not go down the rows and food has to be at the tables. There were signs that said you cannot have drones, balls or frisbees due to insurance policies. I was originally there to pick apples, but I'm sure they would have wanted an affidavit to pick apples. Used to be a nice place, but I'll never go back again. read more

The winery is a Knotsberry farm knockoff. The main building is a gift shop and farmers store with wine and regional liquor. The wine is made with care. A serviceable Merlot and decent Rose'. The food and wine is available at the outdoor seating area by QR code. The ordering platform is glitchy and be sure to confirm your order has been finalized or you will be waiting for eternity for an order still on your not so smart phone. The food is Stop n Shop charcuterie board style. The Bavarian pretzels were steaming heiß, served with a warm cheesy spinach dip and German mustard, perfect for the 95 degree day we chose. The service was complete with a nice lady to unscrew the cap on our wine and provided us with plastic cocktail cups. I rarely enjoy wine in plastic cups, as the aftertaste generally ruins any decent beverage. Since it was so hot out , we needed to hydrate at $2.00 a bottle for Aquafina. 6 bottles of grapes in, and many waters later. We gave up early. If the venue would have provided a self serve water jug on the main counter, many of the customers might have stayed and enjoyed more vino. The little pond and vineyard area was nice. I don't think it was pet friendly except for the house dog, Cody as the signage denoted. So, as I mentioned earlier, the QR code plan was odd for a winery, and being stuck to a phone looking for a text to notify you when you are to pick up your food order was less than optimal, as when I am dining or imbibing with friends and family, I really don't want to be anchored to my phone as I consider it to be rude at a dinner table. The winery had several waiters that brought the alcoholic beverages to the tables and stood around otherwise, plenty of extra time to deliver the food items and harvest tips. All in all, wine was decent, the operation of the food and beverage service was less than I would expect from a typical winery. We have visited wineries across the world and most recently the winery in Austria that provided the vino for the Oscars. I am not a wine snob nor do I play one on TV. But I do know that Covid -19 protocols are over and we can get back to real service at a restaurant or bar. In general I avoid taking pictures of my food or drink as it is uncouth. *disclaimer* My Lover purchased a case of mixed wines to "test" in laboratory conditions! I absolutely loved this winery. I would highly recommend taking advantage of the wine tasting $10.00 gets you a wine glass to take home and you can sample any 5 wines/beers/liquors you'd like. The apple picking was tons of fun and the staff were very pleasant. the booth attendants only accept ash. also, make sure you wear close toed shoes on the Apple paths. The tractors leave quite a bit of ruts they can easily fall while walking on the paths. The parking lot can be tricky so I'd also recommend arriving early so you get a decent spot. read more

What a wonderful fall trip to the winery! My review is based off of the tasting room, store, and meal experience. My party and I enjoyed a wine tasting. We were given plastic chips to sample the varieties of red, white, and rose wine. They even offer spirit tastings. We really liked the keepsake glasses they let you take home. Directly after the tastings we sat down for a bite to eat on the outdoor patio. It was the perfect fall setting beautiful weather and a decent crowd properly distanced. I ordered the Korean bbq sandwich with chips. The sandwich was tasty and the beef was tender. An employee stopped by our table and dropped off coupons to use in the store. The employees were great at directing guests and attentive to the guest experience. There were a lot of happy guests and full tables. I would definitely return. Reservations if you are eating are almost a must. We were very fortunate to find a last minute reservation. We also took home some apples. A small bag was $12. The apples were good and fresh . You order from your outdoor table. There are probably 50 or so places for couples to groups of 8 to sit. They bring your food to your table and leave you be. You take all your trash with you when you leave. They didn't offer water with your food. Came in for the day from out of town. Pretty quiet for a Tuesday which was expected. Plenty of parking. There were Adirondack chairs around a little pond area and plenty of seating outside. Tables and picnic tables with umbrellas on the lawn and tables and chairs on a covered patio. We did the tasting which we were told was inside only which was fine. We got 8 samples plus a wine glass which was a great deal. Love doing a tasting to see what I like and don't like prior to committing. We went outside to have food and a glass but it was so hot so we tried to go inside but we were told we had to stay outside and inside was for tasting only. It was so hot and humid which was unfortunate so we finished our drink and left because we needed to cool off. If there was an indoor option we definitely would have stayed longer so that was unfortunate. Maybe they should work on an indoor seating option so guests are cooler and end up staying longer. read more
