My wife and I have been coming here for 20 years, bringing our children here through out the years. I'm not gonna be petty or try not to about all the little things to complain about, but for the love of god can you please correct the bathrooms by the wave pool! The smell is horrendous, at first I just thought ok they need to repair something.. but it's been like this for the past several years now!! Each year it's the same thing! On a windy day, trying to lay out or eat by the wave pool is a consistent smell of sh-t! Another thing is you want to charge the high prices for food, I get it.. but please have some type of management looking after the concessions, more so the people working them! Waiting in line as long as you do is ridiculous! There seems to be extra people working behind the counter but you might only have 1,2 out of 7 actually working, and then the sense of urgency is definitely not there! This was the perfect day to spend with the kids. They enjoyed everything this place has to offer. We spent most time at the wave pool and lazy river but we were at the park over 8 hours. The food was decent park food with your normal tenders, pizza, options. Parking was easy and getting thru check in didn't take too long either. I purchased VIP tickets at Nashville Shores expecting a premium experience, but I did not feel the additional cost was justified. While the package included a Jell-O shot at entry and a souvenir bag with a cup, glow stick, and sunglasses, the overall VIP experience was underwhelming. The VIP area was simply a separate pool, the food quality was disappointing, with several items appearing undercooked, and the complimentary alcoholic drinks tasted heavily watered down. The dessert selection was also unimpressive. Entertainment consisted only of a performer on stilts and a hula hoop performer, which did not provide the level of entertainment I expected for a VIP experience. Overall, the VIP package did not deliver the value or quality I anticipated for the price paid. read more

the campground was fine. nashville shores the park was horrible....the lazy river was more like rapids. it was so overcrowed. you were shoulder to shoulder with people.... watch your kids and wives especially in the bathrooms,,,,,,,,,,not what you want around them then they go to the pool areas. don't leave shoes or clothes laying around because they will surely disappear. everything is on a card voucher per say. you cannot bring anything in like a cooler, etc . drink and food has to be bought in the park. some staff extremely rude others ok. needless to say we will not be going back. read more

I've visited Nashville Shores a few times for work events. Slides are fun and if you arrive early lines are short and sweet, however I don't think they are worth $55 per person and $15 parking as an adult. could be v entertaining with kiddos but there's nothing that really stands out about this park. The park is also not particularly clean. most mats are dirty and moldy, tubes discolored. water is cloudy & the lazy river is a free for all. Not a lot of veggie food options and the options that exist are egregiously priced. One small cocktail was $26 with tax and tip. An uncrustable sandwich was $12. I visited Nashville Shores with my family on July 26, 2025. They need to hire more people. The fact that they only had one or two people working the concession stands. The lines were so long that we found ourselves standing in line to place an order for over an hour. Then we had to step to the side and wait an additional 40 minutes or more for the food because it was only one or two people working the stands. The ground is uneven and I feel and scarred my knees and elbow. I went to the First Aid building and told them. They were great and friendly. They wrapped me up, but that should have never happened. They still do not have a sign near the restrooms and wave pool where I feel saying "Watch Your Step" or "Incline." read more

Go to the bathroom before you get there because it's packed. Me advice is to go on a weekday. It's so hot & the parking lot is so long you're exhausted by the time you actually get to the water. Also, don't bother going if you have a child under 3. They won't let them use their own floats. The only way they let my 8m old in the way was if she had a their float around her neck which didn't even keep her face out the water. If you're going to get the season pass get the parking pass too. 20$ for parking every time is too much. Food is stupid expensive. Bring a cooler of food and water and keep it in the car. read more

My recent experience at Nashville Shores was deeply disappointing and concerning, revealing what appears to be significant issues with their customer service and management accountability. On May 24th, my husband visited Nashville Shores to activate his season pass, as I had already done mine online. He was also there to pick up our parking pass and the cups that were supposed to come with our Platinum season passes. Unfortunately, having autism causes me to have bad sensory issues, and that cramped, hot, loud building makes me have issues. What should have been a simple process turned into a distressing encounter due to technical issues and the intervention of a supervisor who identified herself as the manager. This supervisor exhibited an alarming lack of professionalism. She flatly refused to provide management contact information outside of a first name, behaved condescendingly, and even made disrespectful comments to my husband. She escalated the situation unnecessarily, at one point withholding the passes we'd already paid for and yelling at him. While my husband expressed frustration, he did not act inappropriately, a fact later acknowledged to me by their General Manager. A week later, I spoke with GM Joe Eckman about the incident. His response was troubling. He claimed to have reviewed the footage "that day" (a week prior to my complaint), which seemed questionable. When I asked to view the security footage, he immediately stated, "Well, that's not going to happen," leaning into it being "internal" instead of offering transparency. Despite claiming to have heard "95% of the conversation," he denied specific aggressive comments made by his supervisor that my husband clearly heard. This discrepancy, combined with the refusal to allow me to view the footage, raised serious concerns about the thoroughness and objectivity of his investigation. While a refund was eventually issued, this situation is not just about money. It highlights a troubling pattern of poor customer service and questionable management oversight. We have also experienced previous negative incidents at Nashville Shores, including concerns about safety (such as unmarked dangerous pavement) and other instances of what appeared to be lax management practices. Given these experiences, I strongly advise potential visitors to exercise caution and consider other options. The level of disrespect and the lack of transparency in handling this complaint were truly unacceptable. Go to Wave Country! It's cleaner, the staff are always super nice and helpful, the parking is always free, and it's about a third of the price. read more

Honestly overwhelming busy and unsafe. This place has grown but not improved in quality. I came here because of a birthday party my son got invited to and I will not come back. 1st they charge $15 for parking, please help me understand why would they charge for parking and they have potholes, old pavement and trash everywhere? If that went for the maintenance of the roads/parking I would understand but nope. Rip off. After they charge you for parking, you find yourself paying $$ for the nastiest environment, let's start with the bathrooms, 4 stalls for all the people they allow in, are you serious? Then they are nasty and smelling like a hot summer in the horse barn? No thank you. They definitely need to add more bathrooms and improve the quality of them. My wife and I have stayed here many times over the years and watched the slow downfall. They are not maintaining the facilities and do not enforce the rules. The late-night parties bring in a loud and largely underage drinking crowd that trashes the place causing concern for your safety and security. I would give zero stars if it was an option. I feel like 3-stars is the perfect rating for this place. I've been here three times now and I find myself liking this place and then hating at the same time. Why I like it: - Season passes are worth it. If you go twice, you've already saved money. You get free parking and get to bring one guest per season pass. - For now my kids are young and only like the wave pool, lazy river and kid area. So no long line waits. - Food and drink is reasonable. I got two bottles of water and medium sprite for $11. Any other amusement park it would $11 for one bottle of water. - Plenty of free shaded areas to sit. Why I dislike it: - They need to step up their cleaning efforts here. Each time we've arrived in the morning there has been trash left from the day before. - All the good rides have very long wait times. - The food, although reasonable, is garbage and you're not allowed to bring outside food or drink. - The patrons. People in middle Middle Tennessee aren't the most environmentally conscious and that shows here. No one cleans up after themselves. Trash is just thrown on the ground and food wrappers just left in the parking lot. No concern for a clean hang out space. A-ok seems to be just right. I came out with my family early August for a premium boat rental and we all couldn't have been happier with the service and the boat. I reserved one online about a month prior to coming out. I rented a premium pontoon boat today for Labor Day. I'm not sure if the black mold on the seats and carpet is what makes it premium, but it was a nice touch that really shows how much they care. Beware that they will lie to you about how far you can take the boat. The receipt and website says 3-5 miles, but they will point to an island that you can see from the marina, then tell you that it's 3 miles and not to go past that area, which is right around 2 miles. 3-5 miles would be fine if they actually let you go that distance. If it wasn't a holiday, I would have gone elsewhere. So, I plan on renting from a different marina next time, and that's what I would advise you to do. read more

2021 marks the 2nd consecutive year I took my kids to a water park as Middle Tennessee locals. I have taken them to the Opryland Convention Center's Soundwaves, but found that to be quite underwhelming compared to Nashville Shores. The only redeeming factor about Soundwaves is that it's open year-round since a portion of it is indoors. However from the fact that my kids are little kids, they don't ride the "thrilling" water slides at all. So that makes Soundwaves a lot worse. In Nashville Shores, there are specific things that my kids will do for hours on end and seeing them scream and smile makes me happy. First is the Kowabunga Beach, which is basically a gigantic jungle gym for kids, complete with water guns, buckets, slides, and sprayers. It's really quite impressive and there's lots to do there. The second is the wave pool. My kids love the beach (complete with waves) and they love diving in and out of it. Third is the lazy river, which is relaxing as lazy rivers go. The one at Soundwaves is a big more torrential and it's easy to get caught in some of the undertows, which scares me to death as a parent. At least with the Nashville Shores lazy river, I don't have to worry about my kids being swept away. Last but not least is the Twin Cyclones water slides (which is next to the Tennessee Twisters). It's the only water slide that allows 36" and taller people ride it. My son is 38" inches and it allows him to ride without an adult. It's pretty mild as far as water slides go, but it really puts a smile on my face to see my kids race to go on the slide over and over. The food is OK. It's overpriced, but it is a theme park. When was the last time you went to any theme park without overpriced, mediocre food? But it is what it is and swimming makes you hungry/thirsty. My only regret is failing to get the Season Pass the last 2 years. I think math calculation shows that if you go twice in 1 year, you've paid for the season pass but life gets busy sometimes. I'll probably get it next year though because my kids absolutely love this place. read more

The following improvements need to be made. 1. Lower the prices on food if you do not allow food/drinks in. Also speed up the service and clean up eating areas. 2. Clean and repaint the slides and buildings. Mega Mayhem is filthy. 3. Fix the bathroom stall doors- half the locks don't work. 4. Lower parking fees. 5. Stop playing the same 8 songs EVERY DAY (Why do y'all like "Don't Let Me Down" so much it has to be played at least twice a day??) It's to the point now where I have to go somewhere I can't hear the music if any of these songs come on. (Cha Cha Slide, YMCA, Cupid Shuffle, Macarena, Sweet Caroline are also some examples- ENOUGH ALREADY!) 6. Make sure all slides are actually running. Annoying when you go to do one and it's closed and then go to another ride and it's also closed. 7. Better communication when events are rescheduled. 8. Instead of only having kid movies on Mondays and Friday nights, do some movies adults like as well (appropriate, but not just animated kid stuff). Adult movie night would be good too. read more

READ BEFORE YOU RESERVE! We recently hosted our family reunion there renting several lake view cabins. Making reservations was easily done online and confirmed over the phone. Upon check in we were helped by a very efficient young man named Tyler. He was the absolute bright spot in our visit. We arrived well in advance of our check-in time since we had family members already checked in the night before on each side of cabin 7, the cabin we had reserved. Our cabin appeared to be empty since the maid service did not come in the few hours we were standing there. I called back up to the front desk to find out if it had actually been released yet since it was less than 30 minutes from the 3pm check in time. While I was on the phone with Tyler, my family noticed that a young man was sitting on the couch in our cabin watching TV and looking at his phone. My sister, in cabin 8 next to mine, then told me that they saw him go in at 11:30AM. They all thought he was gone until they noticed him on the couch which at that time he closed the blinds. I drove up to the front desk to inform Tyler of all this and I appreciated that he listed to me and appreciated the information I shared. Upon returned to the cabin, another maid came and she went into the cabin to continue cleaning. We saw her wipe off the windows. I knocked on the door at 3pm to ask her when she thought she'd be finished since she was the second maid to enter the room. I was greeted with defensive attitude. She was very short when telling me that check in was a 3pm, which I knew and showed her that I had a key. (please notice that I knocked instead of just opening the door with the key) She told me that they never should have given me the key, told me she needed to finish, and then closed the door in my face. No apologies, no I'm just finishing up, just shutting the door in my face. Day 2 - Called the front desk to speak to the manager. I never spoke to her because they would not give me her voicemail. Instead I spoke with another person at the desk. She told me that she was aware of the situation and they had discussed it. She believed the 15 year old cleaning boy over my entire family as to the timeline of him being in the room and proceeded to make excuses for him. Telling me that he was the best cleaner they have. I could see I was going to get no where with this lady at front desk. No apology, nothing offered to make it right, other than by Tyler the day before. Again, he was the bright spot. I felt like my entire family was disrespected because they took the word of a 15 year old boy over several adults. We have no reason to lie and nothing to gain. I ended the call by saying if he was the best you have, then I feel sorry for your company. BUYER BEWARE - The cabins are VERY SMALL. It says it sleeps 6 adults but there is really room for only 4. 6 fit but don't plan on taking a lot of luggage! I took several pictures on the condition of the room. The pros, we have a beautiful site. It's in a great location. The waterpark and other activities are wonderful. The downside is the maintenance of the bathrooms is horrendous. We attempted to use the bathhouse nearest to our camper at 7:30 in the morning 830 in the morning 1030 in the morning and at noon. You will see from these pictures that maintenance of the bathroom nearest to where you camp is not a high priority. I spoke with the manager at 11:15 and she said she would get somebody right away. I attempted to use the shower at 11:45 AM and could not. I had to walk farther up to the restrooms near the camp store. I passed at 12:15 I stopped and was told I could not use them because she was just now starting to clean. I have never stayed in a campground, and I am a seasoned camper, that has not had a fresh place to shower by 7 to 8 AM. We do have a shower in our RV however, it is much easier, and you have more room when you can use the bath facilities. The set up is actually wonderful private, you have your own sink toilet and shower, It is air-conditioned, but if it's not available for use then, the rest does not matter. read more

This is a resort on the marina. They have boat rentals and water park, small general store, many amenities. We stayed here in March. They looked like they were getting ready for opening the water park which is in May. The park was well used. I would say it is family friendly and has a dog run but your pup is sure to get real dirty, it didn't look that great. The sites really needed some upkeep, the slabs were breaking and unlevel. We pull a 43ft, 5th wheel and found it to be very tight corners and the sites are short and narrow for such a big rig, they have a picnic table and island for it. We did fit but if your pulling a long load I suggest a back in site so you can hang the back end into the grass for more room. The other bad thing is their sewer connections are all raised out of the ground at least 6 inches, makes things very hard to get a good flow on the outgo of your black tank. read more

Booked this for Memorial Day weekend! Had a blast! Nice boat! I went with my husband and 10 mo baby and my parents. My baby had developed a cough the day before and the boat they had us on originally had carpet. I asked if there was a way we could get a boat with linoleum floors so he wouldn't get chilled since we went in the morning and it had rained so the carpet was still wet. The guy helping us was so nice to change us over even though it meant more work and extra paperwork to do so! Ps. Keep in mind that the have a set area you can go in with the boats. My friend and I came on opening weekend, Memorial weekend. Yes, it was packed! We hung out at the wave pool and lazy river side of the park. The park was clean and organized. The staff who kept a watchful eye on the waters were impressive. Seeing that they were actively watching the waters kept me feeling safe even though I did not have children to keep in sight. There plentiful chairs and lounges to sit and lay back on. I never felt that my articles I brought, towels, sunscreen etc were at risk of walking off by someone else when I sat at the pools edge out of its eye sight. The key is to buy your tickets on line and get to the park before opening time, the lines are crazy long! They do check your bags. And you can bring a wagon load of towels and beach stuff just no foods or filled water bottles larger that 20 OZ. Now, let's talk about the concessions stand. Oh have one word -and that is absurdity! I think they want us to starve! I'm all for the fact that we purchase food inside the park, outside foods are not allowed is just unfair when there is only ONE food court with ONE cashier and minimal cooks. I stood in line over 20 minutes for free ice to put in my large cup just to watch the line build up behind me and trail outside in the hot sun. I thought this is the results of the Pandemic, low staffing, but later I talked my friend who's been there several years earlier with their kids and this was normal. The park is too large to expect to accommodate it's goes with such low staffing in the food courts. We got discouraged by the wait and decided that there must be another food court on the others side of the park with shorter lines to find out that it was the same there as well! Lucky for us we found a souvenir store that had pre made boxed sandwiches which were perfect for us anyway because I am avoiding fried foods that the stands ONLY provided. It makes me wonder why they don't take a page from the fast food restaurants like Hardy's, Mc Donald's, Tacobell in moving people quickly through the lines and out the doors with their orders. If they want us to buy their concession food then don't make us wait in a line over an hour in the hot sun!!!! Or let us bring in outside food! This water park may not be suitable for Christian families as the presence of loud rock n roll and pop music throughout the park creates a concert-like atmosphere instead of a family-friendly environment. Unfortunately, this experience resulted in a splitting headache, despite our initial hopes. If you don't mind the constant blasting of loud music throughout the park, you might still find enjoyment in this place. I'm giving this the lowest rating which is one star but it really deserves half a star. read more

We used to love this place and came every year between 2014-2019 during the CMA Festival and always looked forward to our stay here. We have not been here since 2019 and were happy to be coming back. However, we were very disappointed in the maintenance (or lack thereof) of this campground, particularly the bathhouse. It was very dirty, floors were disgusting, and there was no ventilation so smelled horrible. We were pleased to see that the old chain link fencing around the lake has been removed and that looks much better than it used to. But, that was the only thing that has improved since we were here in 2019. Focus on improving the bathhouse next - it desperately needs renovating. read more

The park is relatively small but pretty much expected for the area. Not all areas were open and the areas that weren't instead of having a screen up to keep you from seeing the area it just had either caution tape up or a simple rope up that wouldn't really keep unattended children from exploring. The capacity seemed to be reached while there though I could be wrong because as we were leaving there was a lady counting people leaving. The reason I mention this is due to the following. There didn't seem to be enough seats for people to sit, people had their things lined up along the wall because they had no where else to put their belongings. The park opens at 10Am and the food places open at 11. We got in line to get food at about 10 after 11 and stood in line for over an hour. By the time we got our food and sat down to start eating it was after 1pm. The food and drink locations were very unorganized and very understaffed. For detail on the unorganized.... When placing our food order a staff member from back would come to the front and ask for each item placed. What I mean by this is we placed our order. The staff member came up asking what we ordered, the cashier told him one thing at a time. We ordered 5 food items making the staff member take 5 trips back and fourth to get our food and bring it out. The food was decent pool/water park food. I don't really have any complaints about how the food tasted. Over priced but it was good. Their alcoholic beverages were good as well. I will mention this, the day we were there they did not have water to purchase nor were their water fountains turned on so we could only buy alcohol or fountain drinks resulting in all of us feeling dehydrated. The lazy River was very disorganized. There were not enough floats for people and there was no specific line for people to wait on one. It was kind of a free for all and having to be slightly aggressive to obtain a float. It was also overcrowded like they weren't maintaining how many people were in the river at a given time. The only bathroom I saw was extremely small and compact. It felt far too small for a water park bathroom. Lastly, the parking lot was overflowing. People were parked up in the grass and on the side of the road. It cost $10 to park so you would think they would count capacity at that point but it certainly left like they were not maintaining any capacity levels. Overall my family had fun but they weren't crazy about the wait times for pretty much everything. We left around 2pm rather than staying the entire day because we were so thirsty and also felt bad for the families that didn't have a place to sit so we opted to give our seats up and leave. read more

Overall I'd rate it 3.5 stars. Rounded up to 4 because some of the issues are likely due to visiting on a very hot, busy weekend and the obvious tough staffing environment. The park overall seems like a blend of new and old. There are parts of the park (wave pool, lazy river, the kids area, and the new slide) that seem well maintained. Other areas (bathrooms, changing rooms, and lagoon pool) needed some definite maintenance and upkeep. Some concessions, shops, and other building seemed perhaps permanently closed. We ate at Chicken and Waffles (the privately-operated food truck on site) and had about a 15 minute wait. The Nashville Hot tenders, crinkle cut fries, and fried pickles were good and quite reasonably priced at right around $30 for two people including sides and beverages. It was a more than adequate day in the water on a near 100 degree day. Pricing was high for a one time visit ($35/person plus $12 for parking and $22 for a locker), but this place is obviously geared toward locals who can get a season pass for just the price of two visits. The internet made it impossible for my wife to be able to work from home during are planned stay so we had to leave a day early and the cancellation policy would allow for early departures so off we go a day early. Staff at the general store were pleasant, views from the waterfront cabins were nice and the kids enjoyed the waterpark. HOWEVER, the cabins were filthy. Soap scum all over the sink, dust and dead bugs along baseboards, lamps, etc. Spent the first day just cleaning the cabin. For over $2,000 for the week we shouldn't have to do this. Showers in the cabins are also unusable for the average sized man. My husband is 6', 200lb, and couldn't bend his knees in it.
