My wife's diamond had come out of her ring. Luckily she did not lose the diamond. As a result, the ring sat in her night stand for several months. We had no clue as to what Jeweler to go to, to get the diamond reset. I put out a notice on the Neighborhood website asking for recommendations of a reputable, honest Jewler. The Neighborhood responded with several recommendations. Then I researched the top two on the list. I chose Nasr Jewelers and am I glad I did. I dealt with Paul Nasr at their Fairview location in the Fairview Town Center. He looked at the condition of the diamond ring as well as the accompaning wedding ring. He told me what repairs were needed and gave me what I thought was a very reasonable quote (but I actually had no idea what to expect), and a time of about 10 days to do the work. My wife's birthday was coming up and I planned to give her the ring at that time. Unfortunately that was only about five days away. I went in just wanting to see my options for resetting my engagement diamond. The employee was a woman and she was so kind and patient to allow me to play around with all the jewelry to see what I liked and what I was really looking for! I found two pieces I liked and she placed a fake 1 ct diamond in the prongs of the ring to give me the full effect.
