We buy gifts from here every year for birthday, celebration, milestones, graduation, Christmas, etc. Their service system is excellent!! Grab a piece of paper & pencil (usually located near the front door), write down the items you are interested in buying, and hand it over to an James Avery associate. They will call your name. Step over to the window and they will have all the items you requested, displayed, for you to touch, try on, ask questions, etc. They will also tell you what sizes are available, when it will be back in stock and they will "hold" anything you want for 24 hours. Today, our daughter picked out this green gemstone ring to represent her UNT 2022 graduation. Our visit to James Avery was a lovely and memorable moment for us. read more

I have a friend that needs a little pick me up so....thought a piece of jewelry would do the trick. This shop (as all James Averys) is well laid out and staffed with helpful employees. Today however, there was a slight snag. Seems they are rearranging the entire store and about 1/3 of items arent marked with a number or price which is a key to their system. As a result, it took longer than usual to be waited on. I was patient and got a great gift. I did see another customer apparently ready to order leave so, hopefully, they will get the system back in gear soon. Definitly the place for great value in fine jewelry. No costume here. read more

Came in to pick up a bracelet today I had had a charm put on. We weren't greeted. No problem. We were the 3rd customer. We got in line (only ones) and waited. The lady behind the counter was obviously working on someone's problem. No big deal. We waited a few minutes and began to look around the store. The associate on the floor had to have seen us. As we were looking customer 4 comes in, was greeted and gets in line. We got back in line because we had been in the store first. Next thing we know the associate on the floor leaves her customer and helps customer 4 pick up her jewelry and the goes in the back. By this time there is several people behind us. We were left waiting until someone finally came out and helped us. The original associate never came back. Service was seriously lacking today. James Avery needs to remember that customers have options and this is not the location I will return to for my next piece. read more

My "mom" figure loves this chain of stores. The running joke is that Momma D is going to get us charms for our funerals. She loves getting us jewelry from here and most of the time I end up returning it. She tends to get religious stuff for us, and while I'll gladly admit that my spiritual Yelp score is closer to a 4.5, I can't really rep it at work. I try and cultivate a certain atmosphere and it helps if I'm not blinded out in crosses head to toe. I decided to finally leave a review for this store because I had great customer service from Cynthia on Monday. She quickly got my items returned and helped me get my cool Whataburger charm on my wrist. I freaking LOVE Whataburger so the moment I saw it I had to have it. I can't give it five though. James Avery is RIDIC on its pricing. Sterling silver shouldn't cost this much. I feel like people pay the Jesus tax here. Most of their stuff is so plain and I don't understand why folks come here and pay 10 times what this tiny thing costs. Religion sometimes clouds reality in my opinion, but hey...it's your money. I'd never drop $100 on a necklace I know I could get at an actual jewelry store for $45, but again, not my circus, not my monkeys. read more

I've been to this location several times and never had a issue until today. I visited today to get my mother a charm for mother's day. I wasn't greeted and I was starred down by one specific worker.... Alison. I had to approach her myself to get help. I told her exactly what charm that I wanted. and she lied to my face and said that they don't have that & walked away. I had to find the charm myself in the showcase like i worked there. Now she was forced to help me. Checking out she didn't smile nor give me eye contact. Felt really unwelcome. I'm glad there's several locations in my area I can go too. read more

This James Avery location in Allen is the best location by far! It is always easy to get in and out of without the long wait. They are very accommodating when it comes to soldering on charms or fixing a clasp. The entire staff there gives the best customer service and are very attentive! I have been to at least 5 other James Avery stores and this store is the worst. They gave us the run around on a pair of earrings that we had bought and told us they would order but didn't. They have the worst costumer service of any jewelry store I have ever been to. I was beyond frustrated with them that I just asked for a refund and I will never shop at that store again. I will drive out of my way to go somewhere that cares about their costumers. read more

The people here were so rude to me and my bf. They didn't gift wrap or put my bracelet in a bag and tried to get us out of the store as soon as possible even though we were the only ones there. Horrible service. Bad manners and not even a smile from any of the workers. This was supposed to be a gift but they didn't even give me a bag for it. If I could give zero stars I would. James Avery is a great jewelry store, even if you're not looking for religious jewelry. I've never had a bad experience at a James Avery. My last trip here, I brought four charms I purchased on vacation to be added to my charm bracelet. It costs $5 a charm for outside charms to be put on, which I thought was reasonable. James Avery charms can be added to your bracelet for free. I thought I might get some shade about my vacation charms but I definitely did not! I also expected to have to come back later in the week to pick up the bracelet but she told me it would be done within 2 hours and I could pick it up that evening. I was very pleased with the work that was done. On a previous occasion, I noticed a small scratch on one of the charms that was not there before, and they replaced it for me without a second thought. I own several other James Avery pieces that I cherish. They are well made and will last a lifetime. They also polish your James Avery pieces for free anytime! read more

This location is a terrible James Avery. I have been buying their jewelry for years (although they have substantially increased prices over the years) but this particular one in Allen is the worst! Of the four times I've been to this one, I've had an issue three different times. The service is bad and the employees are always rude older ladies. My husband ordered an engraved necklace for me back in July. Unfortunately he put the wrong engraving. He put roman numerals of our wedding date on one side "VIII.XVI.MMXVII" and instead he made the first one read June instead of August. No big deal. So i called James Avery to see if they could redo it and the woman i talked to said it was their fault & they would send a return label & cover the cost to redo it. So then i get on the phone with a man & he tells me it was my husbands fault, which was fine. I told him the woman had said it was James Avery's fault, just stating that is what she had told me. He tries to argue with me about it and then tried to be rude saying it was "gibberish" and proceeds to ask me "what it even means?" so i told him, which wasn't any of his business to begin with. He tells me I can send it back and get it fixed, if i pay for the extra engraving. Okay great!!! I send it back and wrote on the return slip TWICE what i wanted it to say. I got a call asking for a card to charge for the extra two characters i wanted, so i give it to them. Two weeks later i finally got my necklace and i just opened it and they put July instead of August. I understand it was my husbands fault to begin with but i was just very upset with how poorly i was treated on the phone and the fact that i paid for the two extra characters i wanted and they only add one.
