The cars we needed were ready and waiting for us on the way to the airport and they were waiting for us when we arrived back at JFK. The cars were neat, clean and late models (newer vs. older). Both of the drivers we had were very professional. The best part about Nassau Cab Co is Johnny Chimonitis, the owner. His level of service and communication is the greatest we've experienced with a car service. He really takes care of everything and makes sure you have confidence in your ride. Used this cab service for airport trips because booking uber/lyft doesn't allow booking in advance in LI yet. Very pleasantly surprised by the service. Great, courteous, and most importantly on-time drivers. For each trip the cars were modern and immaculate. Called them from overseas day before I was arriving JFK. Took my information, my destination, and told me not to worry, driver would contact me when he got to airport. On the way to customs the phone rang, driver was in airport. Of course this was the longest wait I think I ever had for luggage (except for the time I arrived from LA and my luggage went to Dallas) almost an hour. Called the driver when we finally got bags, he met us 10 minutes later, car (large SUV) was clean and ran well. took us to our apt building and helped carry one bag up steps. We booked a trip to the airport through Tom at Nassau Cable. He was personable, professional and efficient. He took down all of the relevant information. As we weren't positive about using the service, he set up a text and an email for us to confirm the trip. After talking it over as a family, we confirmed. Tom provided the driver's name Sam and said Sam would text us with his number which he did. He arrived early, notified us, put the luggage in the trunk, chatted a little while driving, and got us to the airport on time. He arranged for our pick-up from the airport. He texted us ahead of time to assure us he would be there and asked us to text him when we landed. On the way there he made an extra stop nearby to pick-up my son and daughter-in-law and was willing to drop them off at their house also if it was necessary. We had to get home to pick up our dog from the vet by a certain time and he made sure that we were able to do that. He catered to our every need in such a wonderfully friendly way. His driving is superior. His vehicle super neat and clean. We are thrilled to have tried Nassau Cab and Sam and have already booked our next trip with them. I have used this service before and had a great experience. However today was the opposite. My driver texted me and told me to tell him when I was ready. 10 minutes after I texted him I texted again and that was when he decided to tell me that he was still in the process of dropping someone else off. He told me it would be a few more minutes. My scheduled pick up time was 3:07 and the driver arrived at 3:43. He did not apologize at all and proceeded to defend himself by saying he cannot control traffic. True, but you can send a text alerting your customer you will be 35 minutes late!! Had I known I would have taken a taxi and been almost home by the time he got to me. I will say that the company handled it well and offered me a free next ride. Bottom line, make sure George is not your driver!!! read more

Heeeere we go again! Another FLAWLESS transaction made w/ Nassau Cab. He arrived 10 min. early in a very clean and stylish mini-van and loaded my 2 HEAVY & LARGE pieces of luggage. We started in Uniondale, made a pick-up in Lynbrook and proceeded to the Manhattan Cruise Terminal. We did the reverse after a lovely 10-day cruise and everything went smooth as silk! Super-Friendly SAMMY was our driver, once again, and we couldn't have been happier to see him. We knew we could relax w/ him @ the wheel. He's still VERY safety conscious. I needed a car to the airport for me my wife and infant daughter. I spoke with Johnny who was quick to take a reservation, professional courteous and quick to get all the information required. We were leaving at 530 am for an international flight , I had mentioned to Johnny about the rear facing infant car seat that was required, but for some reason I kept worrying it wasn't going to be there. I looked out my window at 520 am and to my surprise there was a shiney black Lincoln Town car outside, I promptly went outside and said hello to the driver who's name was Steve, I asked him if he had a rear facing infant car seat and he said yes it's all strapped in, to my surprise there was a brand new car seat, still had some plastic wrap on it. Securely fastened I immediately was relieved so was my wife when I went back in to get her and my daughter, the ride at that time of the morning was very quick with no traffic. Steve was pleasant to speak to, and took a reservation for our return home. On the way home our flight was delayed for about two hours, I was concerned our car wouldn't be there but to my surprise when I landed, and took my phone off airplane mode I received a text from a 516 number I promptly called the number back and Johnny answered when I told him who I was he said I understand your flight was delayed, he said I am waiting for you in the cell phone lot please call me when you have your luggage and I will meet you at arrivals. I called when we had our last bag and to my disbelief he just pulled up as I made my way out the door we got in and I got to meet Johnny who took our original reservation . The car was a black Yukon Denali that was spotless, Johnny had, it looked like the same rear facing car seat we originally had . I told him we were concerned we wouldn't have a car there because of our delay he said we keep track of all our customers flights and we knew you were delayed , he flipped over his armrest and he had an iPad there with my flight status, I was really impressed! I have since used Nassau Cab a number of times for social events that I thought I might have a few cocktails and they are ALWAYS There waiting for me. Apparently this company does not give rides to train stations even though the company website advertised train drop off service. The two places a cab is needed is the train station and airport. However, a ride to the train station isn't worth Nassau Cab's time. Listing "train station" as a destination on a drop down menu is a deceptive and idiotic business practice. read more

If i could give 10 stars, i would. I just got back from a business trip to Las Vegas and Nassau Cab brought me to and from JFK in the middle of snowy weather. I found Nassau Cab last minute based on reviews from Yelp and thought i would give them a shot- I spoke with the owner Johnny and he was very accomodating. The driver on the way there was pleasant and on time- clean car and professional. He had water bottles waiting and got me there quickly. The driver on my way home (Chris) went above and beyond. I had all kinds of delays and issues with my flight and was very anxious about getting home safely. Chris was at the airport early and waiting for me when my plane arrived late and called me to let me know he would be waiting. He even got out of the car in the middle of the storm so i could find his car and he could put my bag inside He was a pleasure to be driven by - reliable, safe, professional & clean. Booked them for a trip to and from LaGuardia. On the trip to the airport I was picked up in a nice suburban and the driver was very courteous. There was one glitch as his manifest said I was going to JFK, but it was quickly resolved and I made my flight in plenty of time. The ride home was a disaster. First, the driver could not locate me at the airport. The car broke down about halfway to my home. They offered another car but it would have taken 45 minutes. I was able to have family pick me up in less time. The worst part of this was the driver attempted to collect payment from me, which I refused. Good thing I spent the better part of two hours staring at the passenger bill of rights posted on the seat. One phone call to the office handled it, and they waived the fee. Three stars for handling a problem relatively well and making it right when the customer had an issue. read more

My family ( with 2 toddler children ) have used this service several times from LI to both JFK and LGA and then back home. What made the service incredible was the highly professional and super friendly driver Sam. Awesome service. A group of 5 of us needed a cab from a wedding in Oakdale to our home in Wantagh late Saturday night. I made the reservation on Thursday for our Saturday ride, and spoke with John. He was super helpful, quick, and provided a solid rate. I called the day of our reservation to confirm the pick-up time and was once again greeted with quick friendly service. The wedding wound up ending earlier than planned, so I had to call a second time to see if our group could be picked up an hour earlier. John wasn't annoyed by the change in reservation time, and quickly got in touch with our driver who sent us updates on the status of the earlier ride. Shortly after I spoke with John, we were picked up by Ali in a beautiful SUV and had the smoothest ride back home. John and Ali were awesome, and I truly appreciated how accommodating they were. Fantastic service at a price that was way better than that of a local cab service to LGA Airport, the scheduled time was for 0500 and the car was promptly waiting outside our doorstep at 0455 not too early not late, the car was a Black super clean Chrysler 300 series that was well maintained quiet and DID NOT smell like the following :Smoke, Body Odor, 138 little tree air fresheners, bad food, vomit, or alcohol. My wife and i needed a reliable ride to JFK R/T and after seeing all the stars and reading the glowing reviews i decided i would give them a try. BAD IDEA............... Their automatic telephone system asked me to choose 1 of 2 options; for reservations or the dispatcher. I chose reservations but the call went unanswered with a recording finally saying that John was busy and would call back ASAP. My first thought was that "when i landed back at JFK from Europe my luggage in hand what will happen when they don't answer the phone?" The following day my wife insisted i try calling this company again. Again no answer but now i decided on trying the 2nd option.............dispatcher. You got it!. again no human answered.............John was busy. You get the point. This company is either OUT OF BUSINESS or DESERVES TO BE OUT OF BUSINESS.................or will soon be out of business. read more

This is a fantastic and reliable car service! I have used Nassau Cab for various occasions and they have exceeded expectations every time. I travel very frequently and they are always early/on-time for the pick-up and drop-off. Most recently, they were hired for an elaborate wedding, where sticking to the schedule for several pick-ups and drop-offs were essential. Not only was the driver professional. patient, and kind; he actually went out of his way to drop off the groom's elderly parents at their hotel back in Manhattan at the end of the night, FREE OF CHARGE!!! I found Nassau Cab though the Yelp and I just can't get enough of my amazing experience with them. My driver was Ilya K. I was in a desperate searching for a cab company who will take me to JFK with no delays. This guy knows the roads and how to avoid all that NYC traffic. His car was extremely clean and he even offered me some water and on top of that we had some pleasant conversation. We really struggled to find an affordable option for airport transportation that provided car seats. I'm so grateful someone recommended Nassau Cab. Arranging the transportation was quick and easy. Our driver to the airport was prompt and friendly. Sam drove us home from the airport and was wonderful in connecting with us earlier in the day to confirm details of timing and car seats. Picking someone up at JFK is often a nightmare but he made it a smooth and enjoyable experience. Even after leaving us at our door, he made extra effort to get out of the car and help me get luggage into the house as I was struggling with too many kids and bags! It was much appreciated.
