SNS. My natural nails. By CiCi!
    Marissa P.

Another awesome job by CiCi!!!!! You have to be careful about which tech you see here though. Because I had a bad experience recently where one of the guys cut my cuticles and I bled. Not cool! I highly recommend CiCi or the store managers work. Blanking on her name right now... Rita I think. Also note: you will wait a long time even if you have an appointment sometimes, but no other salons are doing SNS for less than $50.00, where it won't chip for weeks and comes out perfectly, so I think it's worth it!

Super traditional nail shop. Quick, easy, no frills, good prices. I went in on a Friday evening and they were packed. Chairs all full. But they worked fast. I had to wait only 10 minutes and then they were working on my nails. I just got a nice brown gel nail color for $35 (that's with tip)! Can't complain! Other place around the area all charge 50+ just for one color gel nail polish. So crazy! Is def be back if I need a quick nail fix!

Recently moved into the area and needed a new salon. Came across good reviews and it's exactly as people said. Affordable, good quality, and fast. I booked an appointment because of COVID and didn't want to crowd their space. They put me down for a SNS manicure and pedicure on Sunday. Came in and immediately was pleased with their COVID precautions - glass protectors, plastic curtains between each station, and hand sanitizer available. Their large amount or polish, specifically SNS powder impressed me as well. A lot of places tend to only have a couple colors on hand - there were over 50+ colors with designs available too. I got their spa pedicure for $45 - came with 10 min massage and callus removal included. It was very luxurious and definitely worth to treat yourself! I was able to get my SNS manicure ($43 + $1 for one nail tip) with Rita - she's great at SNS powder, she made sure I loved the nails every step of the way. Will definitely return next month!

Thank you Rita! I tried a different style that was a little out of my comfort zone and I love them!!!!

Gel mani with French and design

The best job in the area hands down. Reasonable price and excellent work. You get what you paid for - literally. They have so many gel colors and powder colors as well. Highly recommend

I went on a Friday night and wanted a specific nail style. I had 3 broken natural nails so they fixed them with tips. They were very detailed and made sure they were just I what I wanted. They did a great job. The price was great too. I will be going back

I live in Long Island City and have been looking for a good nail salon that's affordable and consistent, can't find any of those where I am. Took the bus to green point and checked out Nassau Nail Spa and honestly was so glad that I have it a try. Got a regular pedicure which was very relaxing and good paint job. Also got a new set of SNS Powder color tips. Jennifer did an incredible job following my request for short almond shape tips. I was so happy, I've had such terrible experiences with tips everywhere that I've gone. I couldn't be happier with how they came out. For powder tips and a regular pedicure it cost about $75 which was very reasonable. Would recommend!!

I had a wonderful experience at Nassau Nail Spa. I got a regular pedi and custom design gel manicure for $60 total. They also have a deal for regular pedi and gel mani for $45. Some places will charge you this amount just for the gel manicure alone. Not only are the prices fair, the service is great and the work is so detailed from my experience with Rita. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she replicated it perfectly down to the colors. The pedicure was good and the hot stones were a nice touch. It does get busy right after work hours so try to make a reservation ahead of time if possible. I'm looking forward to coming back!

It was my first time at this nail salon and I can finally say I found my go-to spot in Brooklyn. I can't remember the name of the man with the glasses that did my tips but he is heaven sent. He gave my nails such a flawless shape. I first saw this design on a review someone else posted 3 years ago and was hoping Rita was still working here so she can do it the same way. I'm usually not the type to get designs but I'm sooo glad I did. I'm obsessed with my nails!

A friend recommended this nail salon and they did not disappoint! They were very clean in between customers and had a big selection of SNS Colors. Will definitely be back!

    SNS by Rita!
    Kinsey H.

I have been going here consistently for a year for my SNS nails. The place isn't the nicest in terms of ambiance but let me tell you...SNS by Rita cannot be beat. She is a master! I am very picky about SNS - if you've done them before, you know that they can come out looking thick. Not with Rita! They look natural with the same color payoff and last 4 weeks. I also like to do wild things with my nails and she always puts up with my crazy visions and executes them perfectly. She's also very sweet and accommodating. It is time for the holidays and she sent me off with cuticle oil as a very unexpected gift and it made my day! If you want SNS, go to Nassau nails and ask for Rita!!

    Fingernail Infection

I usually go to this salon and don't have any issues. I just got powder nails done on Wednesday 11/10. The lady who did my nails was using the electric nail drill on my nails and completely destroyed my nail beds until they bled. She kept going over the same spots as I was visibly in pain. She also drilled the metal bit straight underneath my nail into my skin until I bled. My fingernails now have a bacterial infection and I feel miserable. I had to see a doctor and get on antibiotics because I'm in that much pain. I'm extremely upset and disappointed with the nail tech that did my nails here. She knew I was in pain and kept acknowledging it but then kept buffing over the same spots until they were raw. I uploaded a photo of one hand for visibility but it is both. This was my favorite salon and the service was not cheap for this to happen.

    Dip powder

My fav nail place hands down cheap and the dip powder last a very long time compared to other places. I left the neighborhood and travel here all the way from Astoria. They treat their customers like royalty and make you feel cared for. Love your nail shop. I have been coming here for 2 years.

We showed up at the wrong location and they waited for us to essentially start 15 minutes later. I appreciated that. The Williamsburg location was more spacious and seemed newer. The Greenpoint location seemed cozy. My technician was Elena and she was really sweet. The tools seemed to be thoroughly sanitized and the filer seemed to be brand new, which I appreciated. I think the price is around $60 plus an extra $5 on each nail that has a design. Total was probably around $70 not including tip. I tipped Elena $20 because she was so sweet, she was amazing. I wanted something classy but glitzy and chose a pinkish color and a shiny glittery one. At the last minute after the gel mani was almost done, I asked for some designs. I think they didn't have the type of crystals and add ons that I really liked but opted to do two nails with designs anyway. I chose a dry flower design and three crystals. The technician was very patient but I don't think they had the proper tools to pick up the crystals. The tweezers weren't pointy enough to apply the crystals so it took some maneuvering but it finally made it on. It seems like the 3D designs aren't commonly done here. The final result I am decently happy with. We also got a quick hand massage and 5 minute back massage so that was a nice add on. My short stubby nails seemed to be elongated with the way my nails are shaped. I absolutely loved the glittery polish, I should have done all my fingers with this instead of the pink color. The 3D designs are okay, not the best and the flower fell off after 3 days, so I wouldn't recommend doing 3D designs here. My friend had a complaint about the nails and we were able to work with the owner to get her nails redone, so the service is quite good. If you have any issues, I recommend contacting them immediately to see if they can do something for you.

That is a huge plus for me. They made sure you were comfortable. What I loved about this place was they have a Cafe inside. Who doesn't want to sip a chai or cocktail while getting a pedicure? Lol. Their cafe prices were very reasonable. As far as the service, my technician was extremely nice however the service wasn't worth the money at all. I regret getting my nails done because that is something I don't play with. I regret not going to my usual nail salon that is pretty much perfect. I just felt like taking a drive and trying a new spot. I won't return. My nails were mediocre and there was dried gel polish on my skin that I removed in the car. In my opinion, a technician sees your hands and they have a light so to be honest I shouldnt have to correct much, but that's my opinion. My toenails were okay as well. I've had much neater and precise paint jobs on both my gel mani and regular pedicure. It has been four days and I definitely have a some chip polish on my fingernails. Cute decor. Cute area. Parking wasn't bad either. Salon clean and you can choose to have your services done in their garden area or inside. Update: nails didn't even last a week. Was chipped and peeling.

When googling around I saw they had this service listed on their website. I just recently moved to a building two blocks over so I stopped by to make an appointment to have them removed. Everything after that was chaos. They had no idea what I was asking for and treated me like I was doing something shady or weird, when it's a listed service on their website with a price and everything. Halfway through the service, they asked if I also wanted a manicure. I repeated what I told the woman at the front desk: my nails beneath the extensions are too weak and damaged from all the fill ins so I want to let them grow out a bit, but I wanted to have them filed / trimmed / shaped etc once the extensions were off so the would at least look clean. They told me this would cost extra. I gave them some side eye because that should be part of the price but told them that was fine. At the end of the service, the woman told me I was done and could go. I was shocked. My nails were a mess. Not trimmed, not neat, with edges literally cracking and hanging off. They didn't charge me for the clean up service, but I couldn't believe they were going to send me on my way with nails looking how they did, super damaged and ugly. I went home to finish the job myself. Additionally, they treated every other customer who came in way different. Other girls were offered little stools to put their bags on while mine was put on the floor right next to old nail clippings etc. Even if it wasn't for the terrible service, I wouldnt go back for the poor treatment alone. I was treated so strangely for asking for a service that they say, per their website, they offer. Luckily, primp and polish is only a few blocks away. I've been going there ever since. The space is clean and bright, the staff are friendly, and the prices are comparable. I will never return to nail of the day.

It just been many misses the past months. I got this time a gel acrylic tip. I asked for short almond with a yellow French tip design. Everything was just so rushed and unorganized. They had so many people come in and they want to attend all but it's only three females working and all shuffling around each other. Literally all three woman did different things to partake in doing my nails and still they came out so bad. I'm not one to complain because I just feel so uncomfortable having to do so but even if I did I couldn't because they had already started working on 5 other people they said yes to while only being 3 workers working ! So I would've needed to wait even longer to get them fixed. My thumbs were two different shapes. And my nails just looked so bad they shaped them in like 4 minutes all my 10 fingers which I feel takes time but they didn't bc they all rushing and just taking on more than they can so my nails were all just not shaped or buffed out and smoothed out at all. Making the shape look so bad from the sides as you can see. And then the paint job was awful! It was so bulky and looking like waves on my nails which you can see in the pictures and especially on the sides how bad it all looks. I left so sad and defeated because I paid $60 for this job and left a tip to make it $70! Just to come home and remove it all. Then the past months I get a gel manicure on my nails very simple manicure of just gel and they start chipping within 5 days never did it use to do that but three times I've gone and that's what I ended up with so it's time for me to just not come here anymore they gone so downhill

Honestly I don't have a go-to manicurist because, in my opinion, the ladies who have served me (usually) did an excellent job- minus some accidental hiccups. Overall, the employees are professional, can read the room, and do a nice job. The price is reasonable for the location (especially) with the weekday specials. The music is excellent as they play a playlist of lofi hits.
