This is the first review I write to warn other of this place - DO NOT GO HERE, they have poor/no time management skills. I scheduled an appointment at 6:00 pm and waited until 6:45 pm before leaving. I thought I would give it a second chance so the second time I arrived at 7:00 pm and waited until 7:30 pm. Both times they kept saying 5 more minutes to try to have me to stay even longer. When I scheduled the second appointment, I told the lady about the first experience and she said they will have someone ready for my appointment time, but that was not the case. If I could give zero stars I would. If you have any type of responsibilities, I highly recommend you do not go here because you will be wasting your time due to this places inability to properly time manage. read more

Came in Sunday for a gel manicure. And it peeled off the next day. Not to mention the nail tech cut my cuticles, I was bleeding and he didn't put anything on it. The gel was clumpy and smudged because he kept shoving my hand in the machine. He also tried to convince me that a color I choose was the same as another color I wanted to switch to. My go to place for a manicure and pedicure. Their prices are great. $9 for a manicure. Every time I go they've done a great job. I especially love how my cuticles look after. Their staff is welcoming, nice, and accommodating. I can't say I am a regular just yet but they know their regulars and give them a warm welcome when they come in which I think says something about their people. So far, so good! I have been there 3 times for Mani/Pedi and I have been happy with the service each time. They use the warm keratin gloves for your hands and feets, and it is very nice! It has never been busy and they don't rush you out the door. $20 for Mani/Pedi; if you want a 10min massage with the nails, its $28. Not bad! Hope it stays quiet and cheap! My family and I are from the Jersey Shore and we hang out in Greenpoint a lot. On a Saturday, I lucked up on Nassau Nail Spa. I have not visited another nail salon since. My little daughter and I visit Nassau Nail Spa at least twice a month. The staff is nice, the spot is clean, and they do a great job. They offer a variety of services and the price is decent. Great price, and excellent job! Rita did my nails today and I chose red powder gel which doesn't required UV light, it was easy and relatively quick! I m normally very picky with painting nails but she covers all area and it look so pretty! Honestly It's hard to find someone so skilled and humbled. read more

Gave this place a shot seeing there were decent reviews. My experience couldn't have been any more different. Sanitation is not a focus here. Pedicure bath smelled of stale water, hot towel smelled soiled, nail clippers were not sanitized after every use and clipped nails were just pushed to the floor. Quite disgusting really but you get what you pay for as manicure costs only $9. I'd rather cut my nails myself than go back. read more

On the top of Manhattan Avenue, this is the best Greenpoint nail salon. Sit in a massage chair when you get your pedicure. You get a tiny massage with cheapest pedicure, but the other offers are awesome too. Pay with tip using your credit card or debit card. Customer service is excellent. I live on the border of Williamsburg, so the fact that I go the distance for a simple pedicure & manicure says a lot. read more

I popped in for a gel mani while I was visiting from L.A., and I was totally pleased. It's your basic nail salon, no bells and whistles, but they took me right away, the girl was friendly and kept checking that I liked her work as she went. She was gentle and didn't rush. I don't live in the neighborhood but my boyfriend gets his haircut around the corner and I decided to look for a nail salon close by while he got his haircut and I was not disappointed. This is your typical NYC nail shop. They were busy and still were able to make time for me. I didn't mind the plastic lining in the pedicure sink, it assured me I wasn't dipping my feet into a dirty tub. She was fast but made sure to clip out all my cuticles and callused skin around the edges of my nails. My toes are happy and so are my nails. I also got a gel manicure and it's perfect. She had a nice style of curing each nail and that too was very fast and she made sure to perfectly shape my nails and push all the cuticles back. This isn't a fancy place, but they get the job done. My boyfriends cut was done early and he met me at the salon and decided to get his nails done too and he was super impressed. I'll now be back here for my nails the every time he gets his haircut and so will he. read more

Good place and price for a manicure. It's $10 for just a manicure--they ask if you want a 'quick dry' top coat, which I assume costs $1 more. I got seated pretty quickly as I walked in on a Saturday afternoon. My manicurist was very quick, though I'm not sure if that was a good thing. I came in search of a reasonably-priced dip powder manicure, and Nassau delivered with their $35 SNS manicure! Only a 25-minute walk from LIC (where all the nail salons have terrible reviews), I was happy to find this place. Their regular manicures were also reasonably priced ($10), but regular nail polish never lasts more than a few days on me so I didn't test that out here. There are many color options for regular polish, gel polish, and SNS dip, which I appreciated. It's only been a few days, but so far I am very pleased with my manicure. IF it lasts as long as they say it will (up to 5 weeks, but I'd be happy with 3-4) I would come back. The workers were very friendly, and the salon looked clean enough (if not the most glamorous or clean I have been to). However, I am not pleased with their credit card policy (TLDR: bring cash). They first insisted we pay in cash, and when we said we would pay tips with cash but didn't have enough on us to also pay the bill in cash, they reluctantly accepted our credit card (BTW, they advertise that they accept credit cards on their front door so I'm not sure why we were given a hard time). Then, when we got our receipt, we saw that they added an up-charge for using a credit card - a little less than 5% on top of our bill. They didn't mention this extra fee to us in advance and there are no signs anywhere indicating that the prices listed and quoted to us were "cash prices." A cash discount is fine, but charging more for using a credit card is illegal. read more

Really solid nail salon but strongly recommend NOT getting a gel manicure from here. Every time I've gotten one it chips within a couple of days - They've repainted it for free but still, I expect it to last for the full two weeks which is incredibly frustrating. They do a great job with pedicures and waxing which is why I keep coming back. Save your money and get your gel manicure somewhere else. read more

I would be careful with this place. Their work is not consistent. The owner did my nails before and did an ok job however this time when I'm going on vacation, she screws up. She did not put enough coats so you could still see the white on my nail even though I asked her several times to. I got pink nail polish yet there was a bright orange spot on one of my nails. I asked her if she could please remove it as it was obvious and she says it's just how the powder is mixed up. I've done sns many times including there and never experienced that. She totally disregarded me knowing I was dissatisfied. Poor customer service and I won't be going back. One of the guys did my pedicure and was in a total rush and just so rough. Not the cleanest environment and hardly any room to move. I left there looking like I messed up my nails when it was actually done that way. read more

Also wanted to point out that I came by here for their signature green tea pedicure. It was certainly relaxing and including a ten minute foot massage. The lady did my nails and I noticed it was a bit sloppy. When I asked her to fix one or two nails another woman swooped in, removed ALL the nail polish, and started from scratch. They didn't even bat an eye and it didn't make me feel awkward at all, it was more like they realized it wasn't up to par and knew it had to be fixed. Such a disappointment, as this salon is the most convenient for me, but just poor quality. Every time I've been here I always feel rushed, like they can't wait to get done with this and get me out of the chair (definitely not a relaxing experience!). They were also VERY rough on my cuticles and made me bleed. My gel manicure was also one of the worst I've received, the first chip came the next day (!!!!) and, it only made it about a week before half my nails were chipped. I over all had a great experience. It looked run down and was skeptical but came here because of the good reviews and my expectations were met. I provided a photo and got almost exactly what I wanted. It's a great place for acrylics. No sloppy shapes or paint job, they are not thick and fat and there was no gap between the cuticle. There were only two people working there when I went although it was probably because it was right after a big snow storm and some people couldn't get there. The worst nail salon ever. They are extremely lazy and put no effort in their work. Got a pedicure and the guy who did my toes was so damn lazy, didn't even scrub my feet. He was sucking on a lollipop the whole time too. He put more effort into sucking the lollipop than on my nails. Like what kind of nail professional is that? I can't even. No wonder their place is always empty because they suck. How did they also get their nail tech certification, they don't know what they are doing. I have been going weekly for a mani-pedi since moving to the neighborhood. Today, I went to do the same. The woman who was doing my pedicure over-filled my tub and flooded the floor (and my shoes)- she then sprayed my thighs and the chair, soaking my shorts. When I asked to leave, Rita did nothing. She approached me when I asked to speak to a manger, and told me that she "knew what happened" and then...nothing. Nothing to resolve the issue or apologize. I will not be going back, and can't recommend it for anyone else after such carelessness in both actual execution and customer service. read more

First of all this place has no ambiance at all but that's not my problem with it. I picked out a gel color for my nails and similar reg nail polish color to match my feet. Once my feet were painted (btw- the towels they used were hard and disgusting) I was informed the gel color I picked would be an extra $9. Nowhere did it say or was I told until my feet were already painted that this color would be an upcharge. Apparently the color I picked required an extra top coat that made it that color. Was very reasonably priced and they didn't try to sell us on anything or rush us out. If you're in the neighborhood and need something done to your nails, I would recommend checking this place out. I came in for a gel manicure. The manicure turned out just fine. BUT the staff could barely understand English. When I asked if the tools they used were sanitized (they pulled them out of a drawer when I sat down for my manicure) they were completely unaware of what I meant. When I asked if I could clean them with alcohol they took a 5 minute break to find a bottle. I wiped the tools down myself. It wasn't until the end of my visit, when they put the snippers and tweezers into a sanitizing device, that I understood they simply didn't understand my query about sanitation. Best SNS powder gel manicure ever! They know what they are doing. Took a long time with the manicure, powder transfer, and polishing, but that's because it's done to perfection. Super reasonable in price compared to other salons I've been to for this service, I left a decent tip. Lavender pedicure was also the bomb. read more
