Joseph Daniele Landscape Design & Irrigation

Trustworthy of a design. He has amazing taste & visions. Joe is a great guy! Behind him is his guys…read moreand they are such nice workers. Extremely careful as they work & work in detail. You absolutely won't be disappointed for your irrigation/ design!

RECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Landscaping sketches should accurately reflect the size of the plants/trees…read morethat will be planted, 2) If there are issues with the work after completion and the payment has already been made, Mr. Daniele should address the issues in a timely fashion, not three seasons later, 3) Making the customer happy should always be a priority. I did my research on about three to four different landscape designers and while Mr. Daniele was one of the more expensive ones, I decided to go with him because his reviews were good and he provided a sketch of the end product and we were very pleased with the plan. The beginning of the process was smooth. Mr. Daniele was responsive and seemed knowledgeable and experienced with landscaping. The concerns started to come about the day he arrived with the plants. Some of the plants were not in the best condition, but he assured us they would bloom again before the end of the season, in which they did. But, also it was evident he was attempting to make the most profit by purchasing smaller plants (or much younger) than what was shown in the sketch. After completing his work, I noticed one of the trees was not planted straight, another tree planted is not the one that was listed in the contract, and 10 of the plants are either dying or dead. The job cost $3,400 so I expected to be completely satisfied. I reached out to Mr. Daniel and he mentioned the plants were dying due to lack of water. This is false as one of the dying plants is a few inches away from a sprinkler and all sprinkler heads were adjusted to provide adequate water for the plants. He then said he would replace the plants, but I would have to wait until spring of 2020 (as per a policy that was not noted in the contract). I do not believe it is fair to pay a few thousands of dollars for a landscaping project and have to wait almost a year for it to be properly completed. Also, Mr. Daniele would not mention anything about the slanted tree or the tree that was quoted in the contract but not delivered. I am guessing we would have to wait until the spring for those as well. Overall, I am dissatisfied with the outcome of the project and regret not going with another company.

I have been using Pacific Lawn Sprinklers for a few years now. They have been very reliable each…read moreyear with sprinkler turn on service in the Spring and winterization in the Fall. I had a sprinkler leak and reached out to them for repair. They showed up promptly the next day, identified the problem, dug up the section of piping and repaired in an hour. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Be aware they have a $110 trip fee that they charge no matter what. Every other home services…read moreprovider that I have dealt with in 30 years of owning a home will waive or put the fee towards whatever work needs to be done. If you decide to go with someone else or not do the work then you get hit with the fee. I'm OK with that. But that's not how this company operates. I had a leak. Adam showed up. I showed him the leak. He dug it up and fixed it and charged me. Perfectly fine. And then they charged the $110 on top of that. They refuse to waive it. IF you're OK with this policy, then you will probably like them. IF like me, you think this is not customer friendly, then be aware and you may want to consider one of the many alternatives. I was a repeat customer for them with winterizations, spring start up, etc. Because of their policy, they lost my business. Edited in response to owner's comments as she is leaving out critical information. Donna R says she listened to the call but she is leaving out that she also heard me comment about the fee and express dissatisfaction with it. She also heard me say that the leak was in the same place where last year they replaced a valve component. I expressed on the call that I thought it would be a warranty repair. THAT is the only reason I agreed to have them come out. As it turns out it was not related to the valve and thus I was responsible for the repair. Which was fair and have no problem paying. And regardless of whether or not I was told up front, it is not a customer friendly policy. One that I would not have accepted if not for the possibility of warranty coverage. And one that i will not accept moving forward. And no, Donna R., I'm not calling the office to discuss. I don't need to hear you explain the policy again. It is what it is. Charge your customers all you want. If they don't care, good for you. I care.
