I would give the spa 5 stars because overall our experience there was great, they let me set up an appointment on sunday, where they are normally closed. We had Kenny and his wife do our massges and from what me and my boyfriend concluded, they were great massages and they were very professional. i dont like talking during my massages and from what my boyfriend said and what Kenny did for me they were very focused into the massage and not chatty. they both did some work with hot stones and it was a first and they were a nice surprise and felt great. the only thing i had a little issue was when i first tried scheduling the appointment, the week before coming to San Juans, the first lady i talked to wasnt the spa director but she was very nice and gave me as much information as she could until the spa director herself would be able to get in touch with me. I didnt get a call back that day so i had to call again the next day, where i couldnt get a hold of the salon after multiple calls until i left a message. the director was helpful in the information she gave me but she did seem to be rushing me trying to get my appointment down and my information, so that was little odd for me.

Dana became openly hostile and the Bride was really upset with the behavior because it made everyone feel tense and took away from the fun of the day because having to fix the hair caused us to be really late for pictures. Several of the bridesmaids commented on Dana's attitude and her lack of customer service. Shawna and Annette did a fantastic job and the results are amazing! Annette came over to the wedding venue to do touch ups for the Bridal party. The spa facility is nice, plush and comfortable but not overdone.

We also did not do a trial (my choice to save money), so I was putting a ton of trust in her! Thankfully, it all worked out wonderfully. I showed her some photos from Pinterest and we talked through logistics of what I wanted before she got to work. She got it done within an hour and took some time to give my mom instructions on how to insert the veil later in the day. She delivered on exactly what I wanted and helped me to feel beautiful for my wedding! My hair held up all day long (even for the after party!). She was also very sweet and made it a fun part of my day. The price was incredibly reasonable - I think it was $95 + a tip. The salon can also do makeup, which I wish I would have known because my makeup artist ended up being quite pricey and I had an issue with my eyelashes coming off right before the ceremony. I have had more than one stylist who's idea of covering gray, just meant a lot of bleach. I knew I was not up for trying to look like something I am not. Here goes - my family and I returned to island life last May, when I accepted a full time position on San Juan Island. We left the island 23 years before, when we felt that it would be worlds easier to run our business with modern conveniences (i.e., Lowe's and home depot). Upon arrival, I began keeping my ears open for ideas of where might be my best chance to get a haircut and color that I would really love. One that would be chosen for my styling abilities, my hair type (frizzy and often unruly); and not because they are easier for the stylist. I stopped in at one popular salon and spoke with the owner. I felt no personal connection, and no sense that my business was important to her. Two more months passed, and my hair was in such desperate need of attention. Finally, 9 months without so much as a trim, I decided I had to take a risk, and I called Chloé after reading the great review here on Yelp. I was impressed with Chloé when I spoke with her, but when I met her, I knew I had made the right decision. I trusted her, and her expertise, because she was very attentive to what I was saying that I did and didn't like about past cuts and color. She explained what she thought was a good approach, and outlined very clearly the cost of all of the services she was providing. Two hours after she started, my hair looked better, healthier, and prettier than it had in years. When I choose a stylist, I do so carefully, but that usually pays big dividends in the pleasure of a great working relationship for years to come. Chloé is extremely professional, very sweet, good-natured, and fun to talk with. She has excellent taste, and she can listen to all your ideas, and flesh out the best of a myriad of possibilities - creating a look that is beautiful, personal, and perfect for my time and abilities. Chloé will be my island stylist as long as I live here, and I believe that will be a very long time.

Clean, quaint and all smiles…read more While mooring at Roche Harbor Marina, I took in an afternoon massage. After a quick and easy check in, filling out the standard form, I was toured around the small, but well appointed spa. My locker was open with sandals and robe awaiting. After a quick wash down in the clean, large, tile shower, I managed 12 minutes in the steam room, a great way to relax before my rub down. Another quick wash I retired to the lounge with cucumber water, organic Tazo teas and Pellagreno. The gas log fire was blazing making it very warm but still comfortable as I hydrated over the latest issue of some Mega Yhat magazine. When in Rome. Sydney arrived right on time to lead me down the hall to our room. Dimly lit, smelling fresh and with heated sheets, I relaxed and awaited my 60 minute, deep tissue. Great work! Sydney is fantastic. When she asked if the pressure was ok, I let her know she could go harder. Politely she said that was almost as much as she could go but I could tell she was really trying. Very kind of her. What a great massage. After our well spent hour together, at least for me, more hydration in now a very full lounge until by final scrub down under the rain water bower head. My visits to Roche Harbor will now include a pop in to see Sydney. Thank you.
