After receiving the Dr. bill, 12/3/25, I called assuming the orthotics would be available soon. I was told that when I didn't respond to a phone message, that I never received, I would now have to wait until 2026, because no further orders would be made because of the upcoming holiday's, which was 3 weeks away. That made no sense. I've made several calls asking for some clarification and no body has returned my call. I tried again today, 1/8/26. The answering service sent a message for someone to return my call. Absolutely the worst medical support services.

The front desk staff--Lydia and Laurel--are incredibly kind and welcoming. They are never cold or perfunctory. Every time I arrive, they greet me by name with a big smile, which immediately sets a positive tone for my visit. Once I'm in the back, Ana, the medical assistant, shows the same level of care and attentiveness. As she prepares me for the doctor's arrival, she engages with me in such a warm and thoughtful way. She has a way of making me feel like an old friend while still maintaining complete professionalism. Every visit, they are attentive to my needs and extremely proficient in their roles. The consistent VIP-level care I receive really stands out. Honestly, I shouldn't be surprised--it clearly reflects Dr. Park's exemplary knowledge, care, and bedside manner. As a podiatrist, she resolved the foot issues that originally brought me to her, and I'm extremely grateful for the care I've received--exactly the expert care I needed. Leadership like that creates an environment where patients feel genuinely valued. Ana, Lydia, Laurel, and of course Dr. Park are exactly the kind of people the world needs more of. This team sets the standard for what patient care should feel like--I leave every visit feeling cared for, respected, and genuinely valued.

My son wore a cranial band (helmet), issued from another orthotics company, for about 8 weeks when…read morehe outgrew it. I was not satisfied with the final cephalic index (CI) numbers and thought he could use another band. I sought out Hanger Clinic for a second opinion. I had a consult with Sydney, who is the orthoticist who works with clients needing cranial bands. She listened to my concerns, was professional, and took the time to scan my son's head. I understood that it's difficult to improve cephalic index (CI) on individuals with brachycephaly (short, wide head), but wanted their estimation on what type of improvement my son could see with a second band. My thought was that if they could make improvements, I was fine paying out-of-pocket since I knew insurance would not cover a second band. I want to do the absolute best for my son, and there's only a small window where helmeting is an option: it's now or never. Sydney consulted their engineering team and got back to me, stating that they could likely improve it by 6mm. 6mm is pretty significant, so I agreed to go ahead with the helmet and was actually excited about the potential improvement (though not excited about several more months of sweaty helmet head, but whatever..)! Sydney placed the order for them to begin manufacturing it. There ended up being an issue with my pediatrican's office not sending the required paperwork. I ended up having to go in because they wanted to see my son. At that visit, the nurse practitioner called Sydney to get some more information. When she (NP) returned, she stated that Sydney told her that she wasn't sure why I was going through with the second band, and that I likely wouldn't see any improvement. This was an absolute SHOCK to me, since that was NOT communicated to me, ever. I was told that the expected CI improvement was 6mm! I would never be wiling to pay out-of-pocket ($1,500) for NO results! I really don't understand how all of that occurred, but obviously I backed out and told Sydney that I would not longer be pursuing a helmet. She was professional the entire time. It stinks, because I really liked her and thought we were on the same page with improving my son's Cephalic Index with another helmet. I don't understand how I was told one thing, and the nurse practitioner was told another. Luckily the issue occurred where the nurse practitioner had to call, because she ended up saving me the cost and headache of a band that apparently would have done nothing for my son. I'm very disappointed, but glad I didn't end up with a big bill and no results.

I searched throughout my insurance network and this was the one podiatrist office that didn't complicate getting an appointment. I was able to get an appointment with only a short wait time. The office is located in a convenient location, it's right off Lincoln Ave and a block off Damen. There is a train stop, Irving Park, not to far from the office and several buses run near the office. It was easy to get to the office. During my visit I was paired with Dr. Heidi Hoffman, she is amazing! I arrived a few minutes before they opened and Dr. Heidi Hoffman allowed me to come in so I didn't have to wait outside. She was friendly and very educational. As I mentioned above, I came into the office for toe pain that was making it hard to use shoes. She listened to my issue and quickly noticed what could be causing the pain. She was able to give me a instant short-term pain relief and gathered whatever was needed for additional tests. She was also able to help me understand more things about my foot. After the appointment, I was updated roughly a week later about the results of the test and given instructions on how to deal with the continuous toe trauma that she discovered. It's been a few months and my toe barely aches when I put on shoes. I can press on the toe that had the issue and it doesn't hurt. It was the complete opposite a few short months ago. I would highly recommend coming to Lincoln Foot and Ankle Center for all of your needs.

Then a few days later called to say he ran my insurance and xyz is what would be covered for custom orthotics and asked when could I come in for measurements. It felt shady so I decided to go somewhere else. Then I went to Dr. Hoffman. She spent a lot of time with me. She took x-rays and went over them with me. We talked about my foot shape and what I should be looking for in a shoe. She recommended going to Fleet Feet for a (free) foot measurement and shoe consultation. She then made a conservative plan of treatment (better shoes, stretches, PT) that could be elevated to custom orthotics if this doesn't work. She diagnosed a nerve issue that can only really be treated by PT/form change while exercising (aka not orthotics). She was encouraging of PT ASAP because as I've had a baby this year...I've already hit my insurance out of pocket max. It's a small thing but just made me feel confident that she was looking out for my best interests. She also gave me personal anecdotes about her own experience with plantar fasciitis as it related to my own case that made me feel hopeful and like I won't be in pain forever. I really value feeling "cared for" by the medical professionals I see, and this is what I got from Dr. Hoffman.
