Yes, a lot of people are on them now. But you will SAVE money down the road with people being healthier; less complications from obesity and diabetes and fewer medications. You saw an opportunity to screw your clients and pounced on it. These moves are why industry leaders are being targeted.

Tried to get an authorization through the online portal which returned a result of "not able to respond at this time, please try later." 5 days later and several attempts each day, same response. Tried to call and was told I had to fax request. They replied to the fax that it was received but cancelled because I did not use the preferred online method. Finally, I got them to look at the request and they denied it claiming the codes are invalid. The codes are definitely valid codes as per the AMA. They said I could not speak to someone in the medical management area in person about this and that I must send in an appeal stating the the code is valid. They could simply look it up and see that it is valid. They want another 2 weeks to decide if they should reverse their decision which is after the scheduled procedure. Unfortunately, the family cannot afford to continue with surgery if it is not going to be covered and they have cancelled. Just some insight as to how Regence treats their members. I would try anything other than this company is you have the choice.

    Let me share my multiple issues with this agency. I'm a pretty patient business owner, but…read moreextremely busy. The one thing I require with any service is that I'm able to setup Auto-draft payments. I purchased three types of insurance policies Health, Dental, and Disability. I explained this to Sam Strok and his office manager Erika when I purchased all three policies. I completed paperwork for both the Dental and Disability policies and Sam's office didn't turn it in nor let me know when the policies went unpaid. The dental and disability policies were purchased at the same time, a year after the health. Two months after purchasing these two policies I contacted Sam because an employee was having numerous problems. This is when I learned that the employee's adult child didn't have dental coverage because Sam gave me bad advice (although he knew the ages of both children, he advised me that both children were covered for dental under the dependent's health coverage even though one was older than 19). Two months later when I contacted his office to find out how to make a policy change, to remove an employee, I learned that the policy was in process to lapse for non-payment. His office had never turned in the auto-draft payment paperwork. The only correspondence I received from the dental insurance company had gone to my spam email. Sam's Office never contacted me to let me know that payment had not been made for six months. At this point I asked Erika to check on the disability policy because I had been unsuccessful logging into their site. Every month I received a "statement" which was a link to login to their site, but no matter what I did I couldn't seem to get logged in with the information available to me. Erika did not respond until I contacted her again 2 months later. At this point she informs me that payment is due for the full 8 months because again she hadn't turned in the auto draft paperwork and no one contacted me to advise me of the nonpayment status (I worked in insurance for several years, insurance agents receive notices every month when one of their policies is lapsing or cancelling). Instead of me getting angry, I provided them with constructive feedback, that I was disappointed in how things had been handled and that I was used to a full service agent - which is what their website suggests on the About Us page. Instead of apologizing or taking any responsibility whatsoever, Sam Strok fired us as a client. He claims they don't handle payment options, however, they accepted the payment auto-draft forms so they should have ensured they were submitted otherwise should have had me submit them directly. I find the management of his office sloppy and his response very unprofessional. Thankfully, I was already in the market to replace this business relationship.
