Found these guys and I am very impressed at the quality of this shop. Customer service is great here! Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I got an upfront cost estimate for the work to be done, as well as some very honest feedback and advice from their mechanic. They are very timely, and stick to the timeframe they give you. Thanks guys!

The people that work the front desk are very nice and friendly, However I did have a few concerns…read morecoming to this shop; It seems there may be some miscommunication between the service advisors and the technitans. When I took my Volvo here i brought it in for one reason only and that is "Overtime power loss and sluggish boost performance", I requested they do a pressure / smoke test to check for any intake leaks. Later in the day i get a call to clarify the work they want to do... diagnostics for $170+, an oil change for $300, cabin air filter for $250, wiper blades for almost $200, replace engine torque mount for $400, I declined all but the engine torque mount and diagnostics because i figured diagnostics was the diagnosing of my intake leak... asked them about the intake leak and whatnot from after the turbo outlet into the intercooler going into the throttle body and they said and i quote "the technician said that's too deep in there"... ok? thats a big red flag... that's the whole reason i brought my car into the shop. When I receive my car the next day the only thing done was the torque mount and yeah they ran some diagnostics but that's it. the main issue i went into the shop still persists + i am now down $700 and i am a broke college student trying to just live in this horrible economy , i still have boost leak. I bring in my car the next day to go over it all and specifically made sure to ask for a smoke / pressure test... they said they will run some diagnostics... which they did for free and registered my new battery with courtesy which i do greatly appreciate. But they declined to do a boost test. I figure maybe they have no idea what that is because they also said if i had boost problems i would get a code for it yet i have plenty of fault codes THEY GAVE ME for the fuel metering system and the car is running to lean. so maybe there is just some knowledge inefficiency going on back there?... I've made an appointment with Volvo dealership to do a smoke test for $150 which i feel redundant for not doing in the first place, however i was trying to save money by coming to an independent shop, had i known they charge way more than the dealership does i would have never stepped foot in Eurotech of knoxville. $300 for an oil change and $250 to change an air filter?!! the dealership does that for cheaper! Thank you for the "work" you guys have done to my car it was greatly appreciated, I will likely will never bring my car back there which they must be glad to hear because it seems they never even wanted to work on my car in the first place just wanted my money. seemed very lazy. Thank you.

They took my car apart and told me about 4 different things that needed to be fixed that had nothing to do with what is wrong with it. They priced it at $497, and when we told them we didn't have that much to spend because we already knew what was wrong and what it should cost us they told us it would still be 3 hours before our car was ready because they had to "put it back together" and the dude working on it was on a lunch break... so without even getting any service done they took 4 hours and charged us $119 just to tell us what the alleged "problem" was... they have no idea what they are doing and they are very rude and lazy.

Owner, Patrick, as well as rest of staff communicated very well throughout the process- in fact better than salvage company and even found a better deal on the part. The process took longer than expected solely due to salvage company delays. Service Street was on their game every time I called for updates and helped expedite the process faster than other locations might have. I will be back as I appreciated the staffs ability to communicate service without hesitation or attempt to upsell or find additional problems.

Ok. I have a transmission issue…read more Brought it in to determine the root-cause. They found an old (not cleared) thermostat problem that I fixed a year ago. It didn't totally close, thus not allowing the Cat o get up to temperature quickly enough. I replaced for $25 and 45 minutes, easy. Check-engine light disappeared. But obviously the code locked in. And also they said I needed a full replacement transmission. Which I don't deny may be required. , sorta. I am 71 years old, done professional car work since 17. The ONLY reason I am not doing this myself is age. But that said, before I would tear down anything I would already know what component is bad. A valve, cam sensor, etc. My symptoms are of a valve-body stuck valve, causing the clutch(s) to not fully engage. Thus I wanted a more concise explanation for why I should give them $5,000 - $6,000 to replace the entire Xmission. I really should have had a talk with the trained mechanic that could go into depth about the detailed reason it is giving me problems. But I got the worker at the register explaining the estimate to me. I have 100% confidence she has ZERO true mechanical knowledge/training past what to say. She should have called the Tech to talk to me. Had that happened I would have set an appointment to have it replaced. But given the weak thermostat ($330) ghost diag, I had zero confidence about the rest of their work. Reminds me of "give a kid a hammer and everything looks like a nail".
