I have rented cars from this location several times and it has gotten progressively worse. This last time will be my last time. They do not have any people skills and customer service is non existent. I always buy the Loss/Damage insurance for peace of mind that what ever happens I don't have to worry (like someone dinging your door in a parking lot) They try to up sell you on other insurance not in a salesman hey you need this kind of way but more of a strong arm, if you don't buy it and something happens I am charging you the maximum for repair. I guess you could say they try to sell it to you in a threatening tone. When I returned the car two gentlemen came and got on their hands and knees and started to inspect the rims and around the wheel wells for chips or scratches and pointed out MINUTE marks no one would EVER see when checking the car during a torrential downpour when I picked it up. I reminded them I had "the insurance" and instead of just saying ok your covered they said there were going to take it "back to the shop" for further inspection and I would be charged if they found something that was not covered (like glass apparently) They now have a 250 dollar cleaning fee also if it is returned dirtier than they think is reasonable. Their call, not yours. The same fellows also own the Avis franchise at the Windsor Airport so I would also avoid that one too. In other locations that I have rented from Budget they have been great and hassle free. In this case the parent company really should investigate this company operating their franchise because they are really doing a disservice to an otherwise decent company

Checking in at the counter for pick up was also confusing as I was quoted 3 different prices with varying deposits depending on which card I used. No explanation of fees or add ons. I declined any extra coverage. I have never had this happen with a rental with any company before and will NEVER rent a car through Hertz again.

Gave the person all my information, name, address, phone, email, DL number, expiration date, etc., was told there was a car confirmed for me at my local Enterprise location, all I had to do was respond to the email on the way. After 15 minutes, no email. I finally managed to speak with a person at the Ann Arbor location who told me they had no cars of any size. Go to someone else.

Everyone there greeted us and we were helped and ready to go within half an hour. If we are trying to give you our money, you should probably have staff that at least pretends they're interested in helping us rather than use their desk as a prop to hold up your mirror and eyeshadow. Our money is going to enterprise everytime.

Sadly there were some complications ref my surgery and doctor wanted me to stay an extra night , rental store is closed on the weekend so at 7.30am my daughter called and explained we needed an extra day once again they were very kind and understanding of our situation and said don't worry just stay well ....that put me at ease as I was getting very stressed and that was not to feel in my situation. I am home safe in bed and the car is back at the office so all is good . So to all those on a personal level who helped with the loan of the car I truly thank you and I would with no hesitation recommend your company 10! 10! Across the board !!!! Keep up the great work . They weren't smart enough to get our money in the end.. but they would have, had we not fought for it. Play it safe, and try to find a more trustworthy place. If you decide to trust this unscrupulous agency, make sure you're present for every second of the pick-up and drop-off inspections. Also, make sure they've washed the vehicle between customers so you can see the entire car properly .

horrible customer service…read more we reserved our vehicle half an year prior to our family vacation. just a week before our trip, we travel to windsor to spend a week with my brother and his family, and that's when their "customer speicialist" called our house in toronto and left us a message that the vehicle which we reserved 6 MONTHS AGO is not available for us. which turned out to be a big surprise for us on the day of our trip, since everyone in the house was already in windsor at that time and there was no one to answer the phone (the funny part is my dad even received an email from their office that says the car is ready for us to pick up!) when we heard this news, we explained no one was at home to pick up the call. the "specialist" rushed out from the back office, raised her voice to us and insisted that she called the house 3 times, and when we asked her why not contact us through email, she replied "we don't do email". not only the "specialist" was not helpful, she was unprofessional also extremely rude to us. eventually she compromised and got us a vehicle AFTER I made a call to their head office. I urge anyone wants car rental near by to avoid this place. it was a disaster and it nearly cost our vacation. i will not recommend this place to anyone.
