I started out looking for the chains at Tractor supply where the salesman told me they would fit my Troy Bilt for sure. I got them home and they looked more like they would fit on a small garden tractor tire. I even had a picture of the very weird size (4.80-8). When I was taking them back to the Tractor Supply store, I remembered there was a small engine shop on the way so I stopped there. The clerk there, told me he didn't have anything, but referred me to Northern Tool. I decided on Lowes instead because I purchased the snowblower there and they would have to have them, I thought. Well, I thought wrong and the guy there referred me to Ty's Outdoor Power, who then referred me to Midwest Tire, who then referred me to Michael Todd and Co. I thought when I walked into the building that I had to be in the wrong place because it looked more like a law office when I headed upstairs to where the arrows pointed. I proceeded into an office and a lady ushered me to the person that knew about chains. A few minutes later I met this wonderful wonderful lady named Pat Sammon who instantly pulled up the tire size from her catalog and wrote everything I needed down on a name card she gave me. As I thanked her and headed out the door and down the stairs, I stopped and thought "what are you doing stupid? You've been all over town and this lady found your chains, go order them". Needless to say, Pat is having them shipped to my home and after running all over town searching for tire chains, this lady has a customer for life and I will spread the word, that Michael Todd Co. did what no other business in Omaha could do for me.

The man at the counter suggested a type of cat food when I told him we were feeding ferals. It was more economical than what we've been buying and we won't have to buy it as often. I also bought dog treats. They have a large variety of bird feeders and bird seed, some prepackaged and some in bins so you can serve yourself. The man who carried my purchase to the car told me a lot of people get baby chicks there in the spring. It's the kind of store where you go for one thing and find lots of other stuff you didn't know you needed.

It was three pounds short so due to the high price I paid I decided to bring back for replacement. The owner was very rude and took the bag and put it on his scale and said it was only one and a half pounds short!!! I know it was three pounds since I weighed it with my suitcase scale. He Did not apologize because I never got the amount I had paid for . He didn't care, just said that bags sometimes rips. He then called in the back for someone to bring back another bag. Again , the bag was sewn and this time missing a pound. . This time I didn't bother. They lost a customer and I will make sure I tell everyone about it. The owner is very arrogant

Today I went in because I had a broken headlight assembly from my snow plow. They had the experience and know how to fix my problem and they didn't even charge me for it. Customer service doesn't get any better than this. He saved me a $170.00, that's why I'm glad Ty's power equipment is here for me.

I…read morebought a new Ariens Razor mower and the upgrade dual-laser cut blade kit from Menards, and I got to use it for the first time and the Briggs and Stratton engine purges just rolling over the ground within the first 10 feet! Spitting grass around like it was wet, which it was not. I was cutting at the highest setting due to our heat waves lately. The gears wouldn't disengage for the self-propel, even without using the self-propel! I called the Ariens CO several times and after getting through, they said that there's nothing they will do. I'd have to take it to an Ariens dealer/repair shop to have it serviced. Ariens is "passing the buck", on a NEW machine! So, I took it to Ty's which is 15 miles away from where I live. I initially spoke to Ryan who helped me unload the mower and I explained to him what my situation is. He listened very well and was very empathetic. I started the mower and he right away could see that it was hard to pull, and he wasn't pulling the starter rope. I engaged the wheels and they wouldn't disengage so I manually rolled it back and forth, still running, and the wheels finally disengaged. I told him between the mower and the upgraded blade kit, I was in at $600 and I am not putting anymore money into this mower, it's brand new, right out of the box! We both declared. Ryan could feel my frustration and I think he was to with the Ariens product. He checked it in with me and said that they'd be in touch. They are a busy place and very pleasant people. To my surprise in just a couple of days, Shane calls me and says what they found with the Briggs and Stratton engine. He proceeds to explain to me that they removed the valve cover to inspect the valve train- compression release is not working on the camshaft. They need to tear down the brand new engine and replace the camshaft! Invoice 301620. The parts are about 2 weeks out! Shane understood the situation and he would contact Briggs and Stratton. Briggs comes back to DECLINE the repair and DID NOT PAY Ty's for their time for the diagnosis! By now, anybody reading this review can understand how bad this is against Ariens CO and Briggs and Stratton and the message that it sends to customers ! Ty's Outdoor Power did an excellent job with there mechanics and customer service! Drive the extra miles and take your equipment to TY's!
