Sometimes the voice mailbox is full, sometimes there's no voicemail at all. No one ever answers the phone. No emergency delivery can be made even though their contract requires that. No one covers when they leave for florida. We were customers through NYPIRG (NY Public Interest Research Group) and now they are exploring a different fuel provider for the capital district and last I knew telling Newcomb's I'd they didn't deliver oil they wouldn't get new customers. Apparently the old owner was great but the new owner isn't the same.

Hey, if you pay month to month and get a financially crippling bill in the winter the problem is you not NG. Get your act together and create a budget. Stupidity is no excuse for poor planning. As to delivery charge, that is a function of your public energy review committee. They set the rates and means the utilities will use to formulate your bill. Delivery charges cover the cost of installing and maintaining the physical power lines and poles and the underground gas pipes. Did you think they just magically appeared? They were itemized in your bill at the direction of the Public Utilities Board because people complained about high bills when they were all rolled up together. It is an itemized way to show you exactly what you are paying for. Kinnd of like the Parts and Labor itemization on your car repair bill. Would you rather it was simply a bottom-line total? It shows the cost of parts and the cost of installing them. I'm sure NG would be happy to show you an itemized bill but then you have increased administrative expenses which will be reflected in your bill. Please think the situation through before you post inane negative complaints. Ignorance and lack of forethought are no excuse for thoughtless responses.

I left my name and phone numbers (it is now early November) still no response. Of course, we paid her in full. We had to hire another attorney and had him look over the documents she created. We had our home put in trust but she never had this recorded with the county we live in nor did she explain that was something we had to do, so the house was not protected. She said Medicaid could not touch our retirement funds, so we thought they were protected, but she never explained that they would have to be spent down before Medicaid would step in. In the end she did us a favor by not returning our call, we found the right attorney who explained all this to us and what we had to do to protect ALL our assets.

I noticed that this branch of the Troy Public Library was near the area I was exploring, so I walked in and was surprised at the historic building - it's very unique, but a bit crowded. I was greeted right away by friendly and smiling librarians - love that. I had fun looking at the new books section, and I did use the restroom (you need a key from the desk to access it). This library doesn't seem like a spot you could really hang out and work or read for hours, but it had a good selection of new books and a small children's area.

But the interior is quite interesting, even better that it's a library! It might take a nice stroll through to get the lay of the land. Rest rooms might be a bottleneck, some of the ones on the upper floor are currently closed, and you need the key from the front desk to use the ones on the ground floor. I'm also very glad that this library is part of my local library system. As much as I enjoy going to the library in my town, I'd certainly make the trip over to Troy to read and do stuff here.

They require an "inspection" before they can fill it, which was done very quickly by the employee. after he put the oil in, the tank was not checked again to make sure there wasn't any leaks, which we came to find out that there was when my husband went down in the basement 2 weeks later. I called the company many times with no answer. Left a message, no call back From them. I finally went to their place on rt. 29, explained what had happen and I asked them for a copy of my receipt from the inspection that took place because I mis placed mine, and the wife of the company quickly came at me with a negative nasty attitude saying that they are not responsible for us losing all of that oil. At this point I just wanted a copy of the receipt, which she kept saying that she didn't keep in her office, (which was big and had a ton of cabinets and drawers everywhere) she said she keeps them at her house in bins. I asked if someone was able to go and get the copy for me and she said kept saying no, because there are so many receipt she has to go through to find mine, from only 2 weeks ago. The husband came in and chatted with me for a little bit about what was going on, and he also did absolutely nothing to help me. I told them I would like the copy of the paperwork mailed to me and they Completely ignored my request, as a paying customer who had just spent $400 with them and who was being pretty level headed for the amount of attitude I was receiving from the wife. 2 weeks has now gone by and i haven't gotten a copy and they will not answer their phone or Return my calls and messages. This company completely sucks!! They are "veteran owned" as it says on their website, and they have completely screwed us as a military family. Extremely disappointed. I have video of part of my conversation with them and the way they spoke to me was very rude. I wish I could give them no stars on this review.
