There was only one thing left for her to do for us and that was to make an amendment to our will. It was supposed to be done mid August. Late Sept. we realized we never heard from her. I emailed her twice , then I called her twice, I stopped in her office to see if I could catch her in, unfortunately she was out that day. I left my name and phone numbers (it is now early November) still no response. Of course, we paid her in full. We had to hire another attorney and had him look over the documents she created. We had our home put in trust but she never had this recorded with the county we live in nor did she explain that was something we had to do, so the house was not protected. She said Medicaid could not touch our retirement funds, so we thought they were protected, but she never explained that they would have to be spent down before Medicaid would step in. In the end she did us a favor by not returning our call, we found the right attorney who explained all this to us and what we had to do to protect ALL our assets.

After serving 22 years in the Marines, I would say that I am disgusted by this company and their lack of ethics and pride in serving their community. If they were to go out of business tomorrow it wouldn't be soon enough.

Above is the main library and below (down a ramp) the New York State museum with exhibits on American indians, 9-11, the Dutch colonies and warfare/exploration in New York State. Since the only lonely review is from some dude who drove from Minneapolis to Albany, to get wifi (says a lot about internet in Minnesota).. I'll leave a short recap of this place. It's fun for all ages. The old museum exhibits were a thrill for my Grampa. He especially loved the re-enactments, stalls with goods for sale and glass encasements with history items; clothes, cannons, miniatures, maps. Awesome exhibits (rotated). I did like seeing people of all ages relaxing, being creative and having fun. The performers were mellow and sweet sounding. I liked the lantern stories from the people courageous enough to share. I had one company bring in 12 cubic yards but they were unable to dump it in my backyard due to a slope they did not feel their truck could negotiate, so I had to pay a second contractor to move the pile from the end of my driveway to the depression. Andrew surveyed my backyard and was confident his driver could deliver 2 loads, 6 cubic yards each, exactly where I needed it so I could finish the job. And he did just that on the day I needed it.

Hello, former librarian here who loves libraries! I often try to seek out a library to visit when I…read moretravel. I noticed that this branch of the Troy Public Library was near the area I was exploring, so I walked in and was surprised at the historic building - it's very unique, but a bit crowded. I was greeted right away by friendly and smiling librarians - love that. I had fun looking at the new books section, and I did use the restroom (you need a key from the desk to access it). This library doesn't seem like a spot you could really hang out and work or read for hours, but it had a good selection of new books and a small children's area.

But the interior is quite interesting, even better that it's a library! It might take a nice stroll through to get the lay of the land. Rest rooms might be a bottleneck, some of the ones on the upper floor are currently closed, and you need the key from the front desk to use the ones on the ground floor. I'm also very glad that this library is part of my local library system. As much as I enjoy going to the library in my town, I'd certainly make the trip over to Troy to read and do stuff here.
