National Flooring-Sparks,NV When driving upto this location your looking at dark glass doors painted special info all over and first though was imma easily be in an out of this place for sure only because I thought places that paint big signage all over was desperate for customers but I am ready to admit when I'm wrong an like that old saying "Never judge a book on its cover" I was wrong about National Flooring. When opening that door an seeing numerous pieces of wonderful and beautiful crafted materials I surely was not sure about pricing, but when greeted from the staff the young woman was very nice, up front an answer out questions promptly and had us looking in the right direction in no time, my wife an I were in great hands. The lady showed us numerous shades and types gave us 15min before returning and answering even more questions I had, she had informed us that the business is family owned and they'd match or get our materials cheaper or need be. She then had found samples for us to take home and had us on our way, but not before going over cost. She went the extra mile for us an gave us a print out with charges of materials needed for our job to do. Now with most businesses there are some bads about this place, when it comes to flooring they have limited waterproofing floors, they don't do or offer to do the installs but they will give you a list of licensed installers. Other than that is you have to check out the samples, is it bad hmmm... no! Does it have a perk? Yes! It's a big enough piece to show you more of what the materials might look like in your house. My overall tho, I think I found my color, my flooring and the place where I'm purchasing my materials for my flooring project coming up. Went in to order a stair nose, described what it was and looked like, the owner ordered something totally different because he knew better and said it is the one we are looking for. Went to pick it up and it was the wrong item, owner would not help and take it back or exchange it. Owner said, "Everything you order is special order and we don't do refunds". I compared a number of local places including big box stores. Barbara was amazing. She walked me through the process. Best part is the samples she sent home with me are huge! Rather than just the tiny 4"x4" square, the sample sheets are 2.5'x2.5' so you can put it down and really see how the floors will look in the different light of the day. Barbara also suggested Giovanni Gonzalez for installation and I can not recommend him enough! he and his crew were on time, courteous, and made sure to clean up everything when they left. This should not be so unique in the trade but in my experience, it is unusual. Showroom is amazing and all of the people there know their products and can really help with the decision. read more

The best flooring we have ever gotten! We are so happy our friend told us about this company. Everyone is very nice there and they have a ton of flooring and samples. We had the pleasure to work with Barb. OMG she is amazing! She knows her stuff that's for sure! She knew exactly how much flooring to order. Just want to say how wonderful our experience has been with National Wholesale Flooring in Sparks, NV. We were all over town looking for engineered flooring. We finally decided to take a look at their store. They have a great selection of products. We were assisted by Barbara. She is amazing...very helpful and knowledgeable. We told her what we were looking for and she showed us many samples and we were able to take them home to see how they would look next to our paint, furniture, lighting etc. These were large samples; not the little 4"x 4" pieces of wood that you get in the box stores. Our experience was so good that we have recently returned to get new carpet and pad. The staff is always very nice, the prices are very reasonable, and the products they sell are great quality. read more

National Wholesale Flooring really came through for us. We have a few rentals in Sparks. One of them had a move out. With the rental market so hot, we had it rented in hours and a move in five days. The carpet was hammered. When we walked into National Wholesale Flooring on Monday morning, we were greeted by Barbara. She was friendly and knowledgeable. Barbara helped us pick out a carpet that was in stock. Tuesday the house was measured and Thursday the carpet was installed. The house looks so much better and we feel the price was excellent. A great initial experience when ordering. However, I was so busy chatting that I missed a bit of total crap that would have stopped me dead. I bought one box of tile. I could have (and had previously) bought the same box from Home Depot for 35 bucks, out the door. This is where I went wrong; I had initially thought that the same box ran me 76 bucks, so when I was quoted 85 from National, I was ok with it. Support your local and all that. However, I went and found the receipt from the Depot, and was a bit upset. When my order came in at National, I brought up the fact I'd paid 53 freakin dollars more than the Depot, and that part of that was a "Miscellanious charge" the person I spoke with was absolutely unapologetic, and utterly indifferent to my complaint. While I completely understand that mom and pops can't price match the Depot at times, this is egregious duplicity. Yeah, I could have paid attention. But, to have been so unapologetically screwed, and not have my complaint addressed in any way will absolutely prevent me from ever doing business there again, nor will I recommend them. In fact, I will actively discourage friends, acquaintances, and utter strangers from doing business there. read more

While the price is right, custom service is poor. After repeated calls, they did not call back. They did not contact us when flooring arrived. Shipment was damaged and delayed, did NOTHING to rectify. I think delays are just expected so there is no thought to the custom experience/needs/timing. I will use alternative wholesaler in future. We had a superb experience with National Wholesale Flooring. We had done a lot of shopping around for new carpet and laminate. We had already been to several other shops before stopping at NWF. Our salesman was Scott and he was very informative and helpful. He really knew his product line. He sent us home with several samples with no hassles. They do not have on-staff installers but provided us with a list of recommended installers. Our product came fast. After getting our laminate installed we decided we needed some area rugs. We went back and selected a couple of different carpet styles. After the carpet came in their staff member John cut the carpet and bound the edges. Wow! The area rugs look spectacular! John is a gentleman who takes a great deal of pride in his work and the final product is wonderful. I highly recommend this great local small business. read more

As a person of color I like to think that days of racism and intolerance are behind us but lo and behold, it seems that we are still stuck in the 1800s in some places. I was looking for a remnant of carpet for my sons room and had heard good things about National Wholesale so I decided to give them a chance. When I walked in I was not acknowledged by the 3 people behind the desk. No problem. I have eyes, I can look around. After spending nearly 20 minutes looking around I noticed that some other people, of a less ethnic persuasion, had trickled in and were being helped. I walked out to the warehouse where I met a friendly fellow named Jake who steered me in the right direction. While I was out there I snapped some pics of the detestable condition of their warehouse. I decided then that I was better off just leaving. I found a nice remnant down the street at another carpet place that actually helped me when I arrived. If i had 4 hands I would give this place 4 thumbs down but I can only opt to give it 1 star so one star it is. read more

We were very pleased with the carpet we purchased at National Wholesale Flooring. We worked with Aaron and his service and knowledge of their products made things very easy. We first selected the carpet we liked the most but it turned out to cost more than we wanted. We asked Aaron if he could find us a similar looking product at a smaller price and he found 4 nice alternatives. We also had one of their 3 recommended independent contractors install the carpet we selected and that company was also very efficient and precise.
