I hope nationwide will help me out with my situation im under and hope they will understand what I'm going threw i basically got cadillac and I fixed the problems it had with the radio and the engine light and put new parts on it every pay check and made my payments so far and kept my insurance up-to-date and now the car im paying on im having to sell everything I own and basically live on the street now and having to have my family split apart and probly won't get to have a Christmas with my family because after a mouth of driving this car and put money into to keep it running but now I'm having to pay 15000 for a mechanic to pull the motor out of it and find another motor to put into it just have it happen again when I could use all the money I have to spend on another car or buy another car from nationwide this sucks I don't know what to do and having to walk 1hr half to work just sucks now I wish nationwide will help me out with my situation if not then im having to pay for a car I can't drive anymore and pay insurance on it bc I don't wanna default on the car or have it repod I thought I was trying fix my life but now I'm having to start back to having nothing again read more

I purchased a 2017 Jeep Compass from this dealership and shortly after purchase began experiencing serious mechanical issues, including transmission slipping and major steering/suspension concerns. I gave the dealership multiple opportunities to repair the vehicle, but the problems continued and the vehicle has now become unsafe to operate. I obtained independent inspections documenting the condition of the vehicle and attempted to resolve the matter directly through formal written communication, including a certified demand letter that was delivered and signed for. Unfortunately, I have not received a meaningful resolution. I would strongly encourage anyone purchasing a used vehicle to have it independently inspected before buying. read more

They sold my husband a lemon car! He has the vehicle for two weeks when the engine light came on and kept making up excuses as to why they couldn't take the car into their mechanic shop. When we asked for a rental car to use in the meantime while the car was being looked at they came up with another excuse which was their rental car was broke down. Now when the creditor says we can have them take the car back and get a new one they are refusing to take the car back. Terrible customer service all around! read more

This dealership should be avoided at all cost. I helped my Niece and her boyfriend purchase a vehicle they did not make it home and the car broke down, it has a blown head gasket. The dealership said they didn't buy the extend protection so the car was bought as is where is and that they are not going to fix it. This has my family in a bad position and the dealership is reminding them that they are on the hook for the car or it will be repossessed. The actual buying experience was good. Everyone was friendly. The first month, though, before we even made our first payment of $408, the radiator went out in this car. It never acted quite right, so it was sold to us with this issue. The heater never worked right, and that's a sign of a bad radiator. Coolant leaks out fast also, so we can't use the car. The warranty we supposedly have is also not accepted by anyone we call. I'm left with paying $408 a month for a car we can't drive, or letting my credit be ruined if I don't pay for it. I'm disabled, so can't afford this car payment and repairs when it should be covered. It was also sold to us with no oil in it, but we caught that before any damage to the car fortunately. You'll pay a lot for a car that may have serious issues, and your warranty will be a scam. If you look up the 'Superior Protection Plan,' this warranty, it's not even BBB accredited. The way this dealership, and this warranty company, treats disabled people is appalling. They know we're desperate and can't afford much, so they sell us something unreliable. I was also 5 days away from giving birth, so needed something badly, and now can't get to my child's doctor or anywhere else. I'm out a lot of money, or will have ruined credit, and both are so hard for my family. read more

Went and looked at a car... cash only vehicle, for sale for $4,500. Found it online, never said anything about a check engine light on the post, went down to the lot to check it out. Got there and was really digging the car, then I asked if he could start the engine so I could hear it run... Seemed almost as if he got offended. But he scoffed and then started it. I heard an audible screeching noise and was thrown off. I went and looked at the instrument panel and saw a check engine light. Asked him if he had any idea why the check engine light was coming on, he was very unprofessional. He went off all about how "it's only $4,500." and "it has 85,000 miles. Of course there's gonna be some lights on!" Very unprofessional, very rude, and very sketchy. read more

Worst place to get a car!! Test drove nicely.. But after a week or two tons of things started to go wrong leading up to discovering from a local mechanic that the car i was purchasing was previously involved in an accident and the frame was cracked in several spots and they were very big cracks! He said a good 20 miles and a good bump and me and my son could have faced life threatening injuries if not death!!! When i went in to sign off on it they didn't give a damn. They basically shrugged it off. One women with nappy looking hair even giggled like they knew what was going on... The other messed up part.. Their mechanic stole my brand new phone when i went for a test drive and they all acted like they didn't know what happened to it... This place and the employees and cars are all trash!!! My father has gotten 3 cars from them and each were returned within the first few months because they would have so many issues.. DO NOT GO TO THEM!! HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!! They do not care about their cars. They do whatever they can to cover anything wrong so that it falls apart a week later. Bought a nice Ford F-150 or at least I thought it was with low miles. Rode like a dream! Timing chain snapped a week later as well as other issues. Bought a car that I'm pretty sure was tuned up to run okay during test drive. Within 1 month after buying it, a HUGE amount of crazy things went wrong. Didn't have a car for 10 months, though I kept paying the payments. When I finally got it back, it continued to have one serious problem after another. It's a flipping death trap. When I took it in today, first I was made to feel it was my fault that it sat for so long. Yeah, I purposely let it sit for 10 months 'cos I have the money to pay for a death trap car that isn't driveable. Wasn't because it had SO MANY issues, I couldn't afford to get it fixed till I saved up the money. And while I appreciate the offer that if I bring in receipts from mechanics, they'll take it off the price of my DEATH-TRAP, it doesn't do much good when I don't have the money to take it to a mechanic to fix the MULTIPLE, TERRIFYING problems that are wrong with it. This is by far the shittiest car I have ever owned - and I've owned some doozies, which were at least free from family members. What a scam - pawning off death trap cars to people just 'cos they have bad credit. IF (and that's an HUGE "if') this car doesn't die and/or kill me in the 2 years I have left to pay it off, I will NEVER, EVER go back to this place. I don't see how my having bad credit and/or low income should mean I'm only good enough to get rip-offed with a car that is rolling-death-on-wheels. read more

I have gotten 2 or 3 cars from this company when my daughter needed one and have never had a problem! they were very understanding when it came a time that payments couldn't be paid, they would work with us! They are very nice and we were not rushed while looking for a car even though I know we drove about 4 of them before deciding on the one we choose! Do Not go here. They will lie to you just to get you to purchase a vehicle. Were told that they would fix the blower motor (cause you turned it on and it made a horrible loud noise) with a NEW one. After a couple of hours waiting I had to go find someone about the car and he had the keys. He knew I was waiting on the car and he was too busy talking or "flirting" with the Costco lady that was there that day. I walked in and he handed me the keys. I left and everything was fine until the next day. It made that horrible loud noise again. So I looked at it myself and all they did was put 2 bolts with washers to hold it together just so I would buy the damn thing. Also it test drove fine and drove fine for 2 days. Now every time I hit a bump it sounds like the freaking front end is going to fall apart. Do not buy any cars here. They are pushy with you. We wanted buy here pay here option and they kept trying to push us to get financed. Not happeninh. Not going to screw up my credit for crap cars. This is one of the crappiest businesses run in the Toledo area. Absolutely unprofessional people. Every time I've called them, I get nothing but attitude from the girls answering the phone. They have no business being in a business setting. I purchased a van from this dealership in 2013. After purchase, I began having problems with noise and shaking when driving on the road. Surprise! It had three different size tires on it. They checked it out further and found multiple things wrong with it, including a near broken serpentine belt, no oil in the vehicle, the spark plugs and air filter being original to the vehicle (it was a 2002), . The electrical system had major issues that included the brake lights turning off when the brake pedal was pressed, and most of the dash lights didn't work. By the time I sold it, the entire dash was out, and no, the fuses weren't blown. The biggest surprise was when they found that the airbag had been cut out! I finally had enough and called the dealership, to which my salesman "Moe" informed me I bought the vehicle 'as is' and it was not their problem, and got hung up on. I had fixed what I could, purchased the correct size tires, but could not drive the vehicle for more than 50mph without it shaking like crazy. So I couldn't really go anywhere except to and from work, and put my kids in it as little as possible. This past summer, they "updated" their website so that anyone who purchased their vehicle before then could no longer make those payments online. When I called to address the issue, they informed me I would either have to mail them a money order OR drive there. I informed them the vehicle I bought from them probably wouldn't even make it to the east side, and the woman LAUGHED at me and said, " Absolutely no payments are taken over the phone." After having this P.O.S. for 1.5 years and dealing with their bs, I sold it and bought a brand new car. Thankfully the nightmare of dealing with this place is over! The only reason I went to Nationwide was because I was going through a divorce and was worried no one else would finance me. They don't give a sh*t about you, your life, your kids, any of it. They just want to make money off of those who need help. Lesson learned, don't you learn it the hard way too! read more

DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM THEM. 6 months ago i purchased a vehicle and within 6 days i had it inspected. the mechanic found that the actuator box that controls the all wheel drive function had been ripped off the car causing it to stay in all wheel drive which with all the other problems is now tearing up the rear end. the differential casing is cracked. The power steering pump was shot. The cv joints on the front end are shot as well as the shocks and control arms, the u joints on the rear are also done. The wipers dont work and the compressor is blown. It is literally just a matter of time before the front end on the POS goes out making it un-drivable. I called them after the inspection and they told me to get it fixed and bring a receipt and they MAY take a small percentage off the total cost of the car. If i had the $4500 in hand to fix it i wouldn't have had to buyt the POS in the first place! THE BEST PART WAS WHEN I TOOK IT HOME TO CLEAN IT AND MY TODDLER PICKED UP A USED HYPEDERMIC NEEDLE THAT WAS BETWEEN THE SEATS! I asked about their inspections of the vehicles before they sell them and the manager (if you can call him that ) stated that if it shifts it sells! WTF absolutely no concern for the death traps that they sell to struggling families that are trying to obtain a dependable vehicle so they can support their families. I am terrified to put my toddler in the car for fear that the front end will cause me to wreck. And dont even get me started with the rude A%# girls that work in the reception area or the fact that you sit on hold for 12 minutes just to be talked to like a 2 year old. Go anywhere else to get a vehicle, please dont buy an over priced death trap from them. what they do is not right and it should not be legal. read more
