Woods came out and inspected around for possible entry points and didn't find any obvious signs of infestation. They suggested the bat had flown into the room and roosted somewhere inside the house (!) during the day. So that night we left our bedroom windows opened, door closed and slept in another br. Sure enough, no more bat since then. It must've found its way out. Although they didn't actually remove a bat, they made the effort to come out and investigate. Much appreciated! After a week, it finally made it to the office and when they gave me the written estimate it was over $100 more than what Bobby had told me on the phone. But we made the appointment to get it done. The next day, the called and said the appointment had to be changed. OK, so we made another appointment. On the day of appointment, 30 minutes before the end of the time window (11am-2pm) and only after I called to make sure Bobby was coming, he told me the current job went long and he would have to reschedule. I cancelled. They are unorganized and unprofessional in how the do business. I'm surprised they can remain in business with this kind of poor service in a small community. Beware!

She informs me that I owe the company two more services since they've only provided two visits in one year and I would have to pay the early termination fee. I told her to mail me the contract showing that there is a contractual agreement to four service visits. This doesn't excuse them of tricking a customer (probably many customers) into signing an agreement at the first service. Angel handed me a piece of paper which looked like a service visit receipt and asked me to sign it for his service -- which I did. Complete fraudsters -- I'll continue to report back.

I was fortunate to learn about Story Termite & Pest Control. I called the office, and explained the lack of service we had, what I was looking for and what Story could provide. They put in contact with our technician, Brian who meet me at the house. We walked the perimeter and I explained what we had in terms of bugs and those pesky ants that always seem to get inside certain areas during the warm summer months. While there was an initial cost, I was happy to pay it to start our service. It's 6 months and Story has been to the house three times. Minus the flies during the summer months, we've been very happy with the service we have received. She saved us space in ways I definitely couldn't have conceived of on my own. She said the remodel would be like doubling our living space, and she was right! Scott oversaw the construction from start to finish. He was very attentive and obviously cared about and was fully invested in the success of the project. He had an expertise with plants and gave great guidance to give me the colors I wanted in plants that would work for our space and the SoCal heat. I am constantly smiling at the plants Scott suggested. They are thriving, and I wouldn't change a thing. The crew was respectful, clean and did a beautiful job. It was a long project, but Pacific Outdoor kept their initial timeline. Our main reason for going with Pacific Outdoor was that they were a one-stop shop. They could do everything. I have been very pleased with the results, which have really elevated my enjoyment of my home's outdoor areas. I would also caution anyone considering going with System Pavers to steer clear of those crooks. I wasted thousands of dollars having them do a terrible job on my pool deck, and had to have Pacific rip out their work and fix it. It was an expensive mistake that I hope to save others from repeating. If I had gone with Pacific in the first place, I would have saved lots of money and hassle.
